They're pretty good lawn mowers. It's almost the exact same thing as Craftsman mower that had the same problem. Those quantum engines by Briggs & Stratton are some of the best ones they make. Actually from what I'm seeing of the mower the only difference between hit and a craftsman is Craftsman is silver with gray wheels caps I also had to replace the other gasket and the primer bulb to get it to start correctly. I sold it to my neighbor that's been a friend for years. And he couldn't be happier with it It has a good heavy mowing deck on it heavier than most. It was an excellent video I figured that will help a lot of others with that same problem. I was getting crap from the deteriorating fuel line once I replaced it and flushed the tank and cleaned the carb It worked beautiful. I don't like the new carburetors that are on a lot of the Briggs & Stratton engines especially the one plastic ones They tend to be useless in my opinion. Good job puller 🐻.
Thanks Wayne. I knew they were made by MTD just wasn't sure if they had others out there that were similar. Yes this model of Briggs and Stratton are great..almost makes up for the green color.

I have a JohnDeere that I need to work on too. It has other known problems, but the carb is definitely got to be cleaned. I hit the like button my friend 👍

You can tell it was self propelled once
Nope. They use the same plastic and deck on all the models of that style. Some had self propelled some models didn't.
