This video also reminds me of the Tsukishima video where Bokuto asks him if Volleyball seems fun to him. "Do not give up, and there will come a moment you'll love it, that's when you are hooked onto it." This applies to Johzenji too. I would have loved to see Johzenji interactions with Bokuto. I'm sure they'd have hit off well ❤️
It applies to everything in life, if something competitive is not enjoyable for you, then you're probably not good enough yet, which is probably just the reworded version of the quote there from Shimada: "To have fun you must be really good"
“when what used to be fun isn’t anymore, often the way around it isn’t to try and have more fun, but to do the boring until it becomes fun.” I really needed that today! My large projects can sometimes grind to a halt despite my enjoyment of them, because i forget that sometimes you just have to do the boring parts until that becomes fun. Thank you!
It’s no coincidence that in the same tournament, Iwaizumi mentions when he saves the ball by Yamaguchi’s serve, he says that when he was a kid, he used to only think that spiking is cool, but now he gets just as much trill from receiving an opponents good serve.
I love Johzenji, and I resonate with this so much. I've said it so many times-- I love being a voice actor, but I dreaded the audio engineering aspect. I always saw it as something to delegate. One day, I did a "Become an audio engineer in 90 days" challenge, and soaked up as much theoretical knowledge as I could, and did daily audio exercises. The result: I have just enough knowledge and experience to build an entire channel on that subject. It's so fulfilling to excel at something we once hated. Thanks for the amazing video! More haikyuu, please!
This video literally illustrates the theoretical and practical part in every course (university) I've had so far. Sometimes I can go through the theory easily, but often I find it hard/boring. But always, after I understood the theory, the practical part made more sense and was 1000 times more fun.
Wow thank you I seriously needed this. I’m finding studying super boring so I’ve been procrastinating. I’ve got less than three weeks to study now. I know it’s possible because then I’ll finally graduate college.
As a Terushima enjoyer and chronic procrastinator, great analysis of the whole thing. Although, I would slightly argue about Terushima thinking Daichi is boring because he's a receiver, but rather because he doesn't do any of the crazy (or let's say playful) style attacks Terushima gets excited about from other Karasuno members. I'm sure he's the type to get excited if Noya did some of the crazy saves we've seen from him throughout the series. But that's just a minor detail that doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of the video, I just couldn't help myself not to mention it.
Thank you so much for making this, I'm going through this right now, I really appreciate you listening to your followers and giving them what they ask for and what they need from you God bless! 😁💕
I was looking for this and I found it thank you. People overlook them and downplay their skill. I wish we could have seen Seijoh vs Johzenji play against each other
Just watched 3 seasons completed today what a timing but man imo the most op moment in whole series was oikawas diabolical server scenes 2 times in s2 episode 20 and 24 it was goosebumps
Thank you brother. Truly fascinating that i can change the fact that the boring stuff in my life is something that may become fun when im strong enough to do it myself.
I have been waiting for this all my life 😂. Seriously tho as someone who struggles from procrastination and doing things last minute, I appreciate the video.
I didn't expect johezenji to be in this video. I too felt johzenji similar to early karasuno . Pretty nice video, each video gets better. Keep making them.
Hey man, i discovered your channel not too long ago and your videos really helped me to improve myself. I would love to see a video about kits shinsuke from haikyuu as he's one of my fav characters in the show but i feel like he's kinda underrated and people don't really get the message behin him. Keep up the good work🫡
Johzenji is easily my favorite team of all time. I get so sad thinking that we don’t get to see them again… *manga spoiler ahead* Until we see Terushima being an apprentice hairstylist and bragging about playing Hinata and Kageyama
I've tried doing "making something boring into fun" with studying, since studying for me is boring. I've tried making in fun like incorporating games and such but I still can't find it fun to study.
I love you sir please dont turn into a chicken, but jokes aside i love your videos and they have helped me so so so much and gave me motivation to finally start fixing my life and get my priorities straight please live a long happy fruitful life
Great video! Just a minor clarification on date-ko. A lot of people seem to pronounce it da(y) or (date, like on a date) tech. I guess this could be considered an english abbreviation. The japanese abbreviation is date-ko. The "ko" is the tech part. Date is more like, "Da-tay".
I find it strange that when people asks me who's my favorite team in this series and I told them that it's johzenji, they seem to forgot or not know them at all. man, I really love them and find them iconic.
I love that when you are watching these, you can clearly tell that the person talking knows literally nothing about volleyball or even sports in general. Solid video, but it’s hilarious
@@LessonsFromAnimeI feel like it’s just your opinions on what people would find fun, most people find spikes so much more fun to practice than receives yk🤷♂️

This guy has THE BEST narrator voice. Simply just AMPLIFIES the message. It's AWESOME. Keep making Haikyuu videos! 😎
Haha cheers bro

thank you for this. my love for Johzenji's captain is legendary and probably slightly unhealthy ☺🥰
you just made my day.
Wow, thank you for spelling it out and explaining it!! Watched this a lot when I was younger and I never did quite realize this message!
Glad it was helpful!

Funnily enough, I just finished writing the script for Kita haha
Rarely can you have fun when you suck
Rarely is it less fun when you're good
Awesome video man
Appreciate it!
So basically with every leg day in the gym comes an arm day as well
Lol that's a good one, although tbh I always found arm training the most boring
Awesome as always 💯
More Daichi love is always appreciated. ;) But Yes! This is why they are so memorable.

i procrastinated to watch this video, had it in my tabs for like a week.
