    This video also reminds me of the Tsukishima video where Bokuto asks him if Volleyball seems fun to him. "Do not give up, and there will come a moment you'll love it, that's when you are hooked onto it." This applies to Johzenji too. I would have loved to see Johzenji interactions with Bokuto. I'm sure they'd have hit off well ❤️

      It applies to everything in life, if something competitive is not enjoyable for you, then you're probably not good enough yet, which is probably just the reworded version of the quote there from Shimada: "To have fun you must be really good"

    “when what used to be fun isn’t anymore, often the way around it isn’t to try and have more fun, but to do the boring until it becomes fun.” I really needed that today! My large projects can sometimes grind to a halt despite my enjoyment of them, because i forget that sometimes you just have to do the boring parts until that becomes fun. Thank you!

    It’s no coincidence that in the same tournament, Iwaizumi mentions when he saves the ball by Yamaguchi’s serve, he says that when he was a kid, he used to only think that spiking is cool, but now he gets just as much trill from receiving an opponents good serve.

    I love Johzenji, and I resonate with this so much. I've said it so many times-- I love being a voice actor, but I dreaded the audio engineering aspect. I always saw it as something to delegate.
    One day, I did a "Become an audio engineer in 90 days" challenge, and soaked up as much theoretical knowledge as I could, and did daily audio exercises.
    The result: I have just enough knowledge and experience to build an entire channel on that subject.
    It's so fulfilling to excel at something we once hated. Thanks for the amazing video! More haikyuu, please!

    This video literally illustrates the theoretical and practical part in every course (university) I've had so far. Sometimes I can go through the theory easily, but often I find it hard/boring. But always, after I understood the theory, the practical part made more sense and was 1000 times more fun.

    As a Terushima enjoyer and chronic procrastinator, great analysis of the whole thing.
    Although, I would slightly argue about Terushima thinking Daichi is boring because he's a receiver, but rather because he doesn't do any of the crazy (or let's say playful) style attacks Terushima gets excited about from other Karasuno members. I'm sure he's the type to get excited if Noya did some of the crazy saves we've seen from him throughout the series.
    But that's just a minor detail that doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of the video, I just couldn't help myself not to mention it.

    • @LessonsFromAnime
      @LessonsFromAnime  8 месяцев назад +3

      That's a fair point, would have been interesting if Noya did a crazy save in this match

    Great video!
    Just a minor clarification on date-ko. A lot of people seem to pronounce it da(y) or (date, like on a date) tech. I guess this could be considered an english abbreviation. The japanese abbreviation is date-ko. The "ko" is the tech part. Date is more like, "Da-tay".
