The uncaring ram at the end followed by the title revealing this was ground zero for the covenant invasion of Minerva was great. Perfectly captures the tone of the war.
I believe this was a Brute piloted ship, the Elites would only destroy a ship before it can attack properly was if the ship contained the Flood. As well as sanghelli shipmaster would not ram. Well maybe if it was the disgraced crew of a CPV class destroyer.
The covenant in the games: does some stupid strategy that gets them killed.
The covenant in the lore: straight to the point, seek and destroy.
The games are biased so that you feel like that savior of Humanity.
That is the reason why Human weapons are so effective and feel better than Covenant weapons, when the truth is the opposite.
Covenant weapons are superior to Human weapons in nearly every scenario and Human weapons have a hard time getting through Covenant shielding.

Leadership change is why. Halo CE and Reach do a good job of showing the covenant getting the job done up until the flood outbreak on instillation 04.
Also the Great Schism played a role in this too near the end of Halo 2. The change of guard with the brutes also signaled the end of the covenant, if that did not happen, and the elites stayed in the covenant, the UNSC would have lost the battle for earth. The flood will also show up and make the situation worse. REMINDER: The great schism happened while Chief was on High Charity so the events up to floodgate would be the end of Earth.
I have never seen a more accurate depiction of just how 1-sided space battles in Halo go. Absolutely incredible !!!

What's essentially a midget ship under Covenant terms is an absolute beast against the UNSC, capable of defeating a battle group or of seizing/extinguishing a colony... it's deaths war hound...

I really like all the extra work you put in to set up the station's gantry and cradling detatching from the ship. You could have just shown it from a concealing angle, but you put in more work to make it immersive. Thank you!!!
