right on, WY has tons of action! Pro Tip# 3: Setup in front of something and trust your camo. Don't setup out in the open. pro tip # 38: When you hear a bugle, that is the time to nock an arrow so you are ready for a surprise encounter. As you have seen, the elk can be on you in a hurry. The camera guy (wes) isn't hunting so he shouldn't have to tell you to draw. It think we need more Pro Tips from the BRO crew.
@putt4eagle man bud you really have your priorities jacked up because I don't care how good of dude he is he's not ur buddy if he's planning on moving on opening day let alone asking you to help.
Keep doing what you guys do! And welcome to Wyoming, the only complaint I have is don’t tell people how great this state is, we like our population as it is haha. Love you brothers!
Gotta give a shout out to the camera crew. Absolutely loving the shots today. The over the shoulder on Trent and then the leopard print pillow was priceless!
How do the “go hunt” guys feel adapting to new people, as well as such unexpected elk “encounters”!!! Such a test of the mind to back country hunt, let alone with new faces and new experiences!!! Loved this episode!!!
Hey Trent ! You spend all that time (about 2 seconds) putting on face paint, but your arms are shining in the sun. You need arm paint I guess. Keep up the good work. And thanks for giving me elk fever again this year!
From your experiences in Wyoming which type of train do you feel the elk like the best. I've hunted it all and seen elk in most. Just usually hard to play the wind.
I'm also watching last years 1.0 Trent I give you a lot of credit for making it through Montana with 9 3/4 fingers.:) I was shocked you all don't carry first aid kits or at least one carry them, and not everyone carries a sidearm? Love the show I just found you all about a month ago and love most of your content thank you all for the entertainment.
Love watching the crew hunting with Trail, Brady, and Zach. I really enjoy watching the go hunt videos on you tube. Humble hunters inspire me and are great to learn from. I hunt elk and deer in CO but am planning on trying WY and NM in 2019 as well. I think the Go Hunt Insider would be awesome but kind of steep with the cost of non resident tags as well. Any chance on offering a combo state package for a reduced price in the future? Would love to see like a two or three state option for a lower price. Just an idea. Thanks for the entertaining videos!
Great stuff elk hunting and calling big bulls in God's country you guys rock love your show or video God bless you and your family's be safe happy hunting
Man I was watching straight ahead as I saw a bit of movement and boom the cows came running thru and low and behold where I first saw movement was a beautiful bull heading right at ya and the hauled butt out of there back to direction it came. Feel bad for y’all but hey that’s why they call it hunting and not killing. 🤣🤣 it will get better guys!!!
Question for the GO Hunt Guys! I’m fairly new to the Insider membership and I love it! Helped me pick some states like Wyoming and Montana to start gather points in for future OTC out of state hunts! Anyways, my question is if they will be including Turkeys in the Insider any time soon? I think it would be really cool to see that in the western states and then for them to expand it across the lower 48. I love turkey hunting here in Oregon and being able to use Insider for that when looking out of state would be sweet!
Hey Cody, We have some other INSIDER enhancements that we're currently working on, such as adding more states, but adding new species is never out of the question! We have a lot of turkey hunters, like yourself, in the office so its a topic that defiantly won't be forgotten! We are always looking to add more species and value to our INSIDER Members!
Hey guys curious how you feel about mechanical broadheads? Being from Oregon i have never used them, will you be switching from fixed blade to mechanical in 2019 or do you use them in out of state hunts that allow them currently? Love the series, my 3 year old daughter and i watch nightly!
Thinking about doing an elk hunt next year and just have no idea where or how to start what’s the best advice you guys can give for using the go hunt site??
Good question that would require a lengthy response...but ..tge goHUNT INSIDER subscription is built to help a guy like you get started. It has all the info you need to help you determine where to go ans what you need to get there. Covers draw odds, application strategy, state by state draw processes and unit by unit descriptions.
Had to wait until today to watch this one. It was for a good cause though! Went to Portland to "Finally" see Metallica in concert! Awesome!!!! Now bring on the Bulls!
for a first timer wanting to go elk hunting what is the best state to get started in? gun or bow? for first time with not a lot of money what would you all need?
Great question, typically harvest success rates are a bit better for rifle hunts, but archery hunting gives you the opportunity to hunt during the rut when you can call and interact with bulls. I would suggest you think about your overall objectives, is it to harvest an elk or is bowhunting/calling and the experience the more important parts of a hunt to you. In terms of states, it's worth applying or buying points in states that offer good opportunities to elk hunt..WY, CO, MT and perhaps applying in NM, ID, AZ, UT, NV if you can find the funds to do so. Overall I would suggest that ID and CO have the best opportunities to pick up a permit OTC and go hunting, whether that's with a bow or rifle. Gear wise, you can get by without the best of the best..but you'll need a weapon, boots, a backpack, knife, binoculars, map, gps is handy, and some navigations skills. Also some research into elk life history, behavior, hunting strategy and mostly a positive attitude and willingness to just go for it.
OK, I have the onXhunt app and have a question about the satellite images. is there a place on the app that you can find out what the date is on the image?
Question to the Go Hunt guys, what advice have you for someone who dosnt understand the processes or systems in place, for instance we are from Scotland (not new to hunting) and intend to come over in 2019 to hunt elk, we know others who have done this and it seems relatively easy to fly to colorado and buy a tag etc etc but the laws, regs and even the language used is so different from what we have here that its like we are totaly new hunters, it must be the same for someone trying to take up hunting in the US. Is there an easy way to get out hunting and understand the whole process?
We would first recommend calling Colorado Game and Fish to clear up any questions that you have in regards to understanding the "langauge" of the laws/regs. As for researching hunting areas the best advice we can give you is to join goHUNT INSIDER. Once you are an insider you'll have access to draw odds, strategy articles, species breakdowns, and many more researching tools! Here is a link for more information. Good luck and happy hunting! Link: www.gohunt.com/insider
Thanks for the answer, i guess i was also asking on behalf of all those new hunters who need help getting out hunting and finding out how it all works. I guess goHUNT insider must be the place to go!!
Ask go hunt guys what would be a good general unit to go to if get drawn? Never been to Wyoming before. This year in Colorado was my first trip in September.
Go Hunt, outside your current state of residence...which state would you move to strictly for Residency benefits (point program/access/amount of state land/number of game species/etc etc)?
Question for the go hunt guys, Trent mentioned in a past broadhead test that expandables weren't legal to use in Oregon. Are there any elk states where they are legal?
Expendable broadhrads are legal in almost every state and I believe a law has just passed making them legal in Oregon as well. I much prefer a fixed blade but you can use expandables
It would depend on how many pts you have, CO is a true preference point state meaning the people with the most points that apply for any given hunt get the tags. There aren't any random elk tags allocated. With a few pts though there are some decent options...very easily filtered by draw odds and trophy potential within the INSIDER research platform
Colorado, multiple seasons and many that can be draw with no points or even as a second choice. Most areas have good numbers of deer and trophy potential is generally quite good.
My question to Brady is “was it worth it to get your first archery bull? All the hard work and planning.” But I am betting that’s tomorrow’s episode so I have to wait.

I loved hunting elk in Wyoming with my Dad and son and a few friends. Was born and raised there. No better place in the world for me
With bulls around like that it's just a matter of time before one go's down. Love it gentleman thank you for sharing.
How do the “go hunt” guys feel adapting to new people, as well as such unexpected elk “encounters”!!! Such a test of the mind to back country hunt, let alone with new faces and new experiences!!! Loved this episode!!!
I love Trent's run and gun approach! Lots of action today, and can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!
Great episode guys, love the content that you continue to put out. Can’t wait to see the rest of Wyoming!
Trent, Steve, Great hunt! Love the comradery.. You guys got those bulls fired UP!! That Wyoming country is beautiful!
Welcome to Wyoming. Great to see the action.
Wes has been a great addition to the team. You guys stick together, stay positive and the blessings will continue to come.
You guys are in some gorgeous mountains. Some of those views I was hoping you would just scan the mountains for a while....
Hey Trent ! You spend all that time (about 2 seconds) putting on face paint, but your arms are shining in the sun. You need arm paint I guess.
Keep up the good work. And thanks for giving me elk fever again this year!
Thought it was gonna happen tonight! Thanks for the powder idea Brady, there’s a good chance I might utilize it next season. Thanks guys
Sweet to see the Gohunt guys with you guys!! It always seems to get better and better. Great video guys!!

Trent shouldn’t ever have to worry about a grizzly attacking him in his tent! I’m sure his snoring chased every griz out 10 Miles!
Man Wyoming is beautiful country!
In British Columbia a couple came across grizzly scat that had a can of bear spray in it plus bear bells🐻
Waht?

Trail, I totally got the Ultimate Warrior face paint tribute, Strong work! Love your work BRO! Keep them coming.
Question? Montana series noticed a wind checker holder clipped on bino harness who makes it I want one can't find one anywhere.
My heart was yearning all the way through.

Wes you're the man! BRO you guys need to keep him around!
I made those same shakes for a backcountry elk hunt I did in Colorado for a buddy and myself. Great calorie intake.
It’s the chia seeds that make it seem chunky.
My favorite part of this hunt is that you have Montana Wild filming this for you! They are amazing behind the camera. Why no shout out to them?
Looks like a good ole time, blessings to you guys and hope to see a bull down soon!
Great stuff elk hunting and calling big bulls in God's country you guys rock love your show or video God bless you and your family's be safe happy hunting
Another great video guys! Can't wait for you guys to seal the deal in Wyoming!
Good to see old jase Robertson elk hunting
"This is why we don't talk alot."
Loving the back and forth between Wes and everyone else.

Awesome guys!
What brand is Trail's hiking stick? I like the handle on top, since I usually don't use the hand grips much, just the top of the grip in my palms
Its a black diamond whippet...we sale them in our goHUNT gear shop online
What is a good state and area for a bow hunter with mobility issues? No wheel chair yet but coming in the future?
Beautiful country. Just some Bull Madness going on!
Haha,I love the heckling between Trent and wes
Rooted for Brady. I can relate to some of his first experiences. Go gettem!
Good stuff guys. Surprised you guys did not split groups up differently. Classic Trent nap during the day😂

So Wes, you couldn’t sleep because you were to far away from Trent. How sweet.lol
LOL
I'm Lovin It!!
"THE People"? :-/ Hey Wes, You're Fired!! LOLOL
You can't fire that guy, who wears cowboy boots and a flatbill?
Looks like another exciting day in the woods. Remember my B-Day is coming up 1-5-59
What pac's do the go hunt guys use and why
Pretty close, can't wait for tomorrow!
At 17:30 that bull ran DIRECTLY away from that bugle lol.
I love the pillow Trevor
Go Hunt, outside your current state of residence...which state would you move to strictly for Residency benefits (point program/access/amount of state land/number of game species/etc etc)?
Wy, Mt or Co....but in terms of opportunity and quality...Wy would be the clear winner
Great video as usual, keep it up.
Very good videos-keep them coming
Bro=better buglers ....go hunt=better looking

Did you guys have points in Wyoming? How does Wyoming work? Been trying to figure this out and just get more confused every time I look into it?
Awesome can’t wait to watch this
That was awesome
Please turn on the CC
Let’s do it today is the day
Loved Weston's calling on this hunt. Don't be so hard on him.
Peanut butter, Nutella and bacon burrito. Nice choice junior hulkamaniac!

Can you only pick one state on go hunt?
Trent, what broadhead are you using? I thought you were all about Bone broadheads.
Andrew Garcia I couldn't get my hands on any Bone Broadheads before season. They were on backorder till October. I ended up shooting Stricklands.
Trail I love the Ultimate Warrior reference.
Fun stuff as always,
How many pts typically for wy general archery tag?
0 for me as I live in Wyoming 🤣🤣 sorry couldn't resist
Getting closer that one bull looked pretty good
Almost did it again KEEP HAMMERING BROS.
Camera man that puts meat on his back. I’d keep him around. At least one more season.
thanks again awesome
Best state for public land mule deer?
Colorado, multiple seasons and many that can be draw with no points or even as a second choice. Most areas have good numbers of deer and trophy potential is generally quite good.
Ole dude with the hair, is also got crazy eyes.🤣🤣🤣🤣
