I saw Rush for the first time in January 1977. To put it mildly, I was hooked. Seeing and hearing young talented people like yourselves paying tribute 46 years later is more than cool. And the song you chose to do it……..outstanding. (Found you on Apple Music)
Wow you found us? That's amazing. This is classic stuff we will play for our kids to maybe remake too. Hopefully not just based on the loss of someone like Rush and ourselves but because it's great music.
Oh wow... The entire song is wonderful but that ending... just superb. Band is solid for giving this young lady a platform to rise up from. Her final / ending vocals are just amazing! Great job to all. Neil lives on in you.
Wow, you listened to the end... Thank you so much! It has the best vocals on the end but in a world of two minute attention span it's hard to commit to leave the best to last. But, it's worth it on this one especially for people like your self (saw your a drummer) who know music and fandom. Thanks again!
Rush tributes are always difficult. The boys from Toronto took such a deeply layered approach to all of their songs. Kudos to those that honor them well. 👍
@@paulluongo2756 i, m acord with you. This girl sing looks like a rapper. This song is difficult to find played of Rush live. I saw other version from a band called Atlantis 1001, Helsinki . I love.
So awesome! Great musicianship! Great keyboard work in the bridge! As a Latino it's always so cool to hear a pro Latina singing rock and sing it so well, there's just not enough of you guys! Aside from a few Latin American Spanish rock singers I can't think of an American English singing Latina rocker! So you're a trailblazer! Rock on everyone!
Wepa!!! I always wanted to Rock out. Finally found the right musicians to support the process of writing, learning, sharing and creating. Muchas Gracias
Thank you, so glad you felt it. I was singing to a friend Cathy Brown, who left suddenly and a year later when Neil Peart died this was a great idea for the band to create healing, tribute and expression and especially now with the world pandemic.
BRAVISSIMO!!! Great job! Me and my Rush cover band performed this and several others Rush's songs in a time when I thought that would be a rockstar (hahaha). I was presented to Rush in 1975 when I was just 15th y.o. (today I am 60th). 🎵But I remember! The music for me has two moments: before and after Rush. It's already 45 years. Regarding to Neil: 🎵I didn't know his family, But I knew his lyrics, beats and history🎵 🎵And he introduced me to wider and fantastic reality As the years went by, we drifted apart But when I heard that he was gone I felt a shadow cross my heart.🎵 I usually think that when we have a child, grandchild, great-grandchild, etc. we become immortal. Now I also think that as long as someone remembers us and can see our footprints, then we will be immortal. So long live Neil! I REMEMBER YOU AND I SEE YOUR FOOTPRINTS!!!
This is such a beautiful share and an honor that you took the time to not only watch us but also to personalize and immortalize your experience of music, of passing and of Neil on our comment section. Thank you so much. How perfectly put on this Memorial Day. This really touched me this morning. Thanks again! (Elan of Sacrificial Lamb)
Beautiful cover of a beautiful song. Seeing and hearing how much passion the talented singer delivered (in combination with thinking how much Neil would have loved this cover) brought a tear to my eye.
Thank yo so much for watching and commenting. Love you said tasteful. More to come soon. We just got on Bandcamp, Shazam, Spotify etc on this song - Links in Bio
Thank you for recording such an appropriate tribute to The Professor. He would be proud that you have been inspired. We all remember, none of us can understand... taken away for his young daughter, family and the world too soon.
The loss is crazy. I am so glad you felt it in honor. Elan (The Singer) had one of her best Engineers who was a Father and husband of a young girl also die of a car accident after a late night of recording in LA and it feels like it happens to the nicest of the lot. Our song God Wants You Dead touches on her experience seeing the Good being taken and the bad sometimes just lingering on this plane of existence. The next Cover won't be so sad but still old school... maybe from the UK this time. We just got this song and EP on Bandcamp, Shazam, Spotify etc - Links in Bio
Thank you so much for understanding! This was the last time we were in a room together before Covid mask restrictions and bands couldn't jam inside. We had to get it done and waited long enough after his death to let the dust settle a bit but also make it meaningful. No one will ever be Neil. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks for waiting til the end. It's about Neil, Rush and the song for their engineer so the flashy vocals were just for end
