Did a little more digging and found that: -Minimum Level Required to find Reds is 25, not 30 -Item powers pulled from chests is based upon the average of the single highest level item that you have found in chests across all characters for each item slot (Melee/Ranged/Necklace/Charm/Trinket) The wiki's wording was weird which lead to some confusion on my part, my bad!
Wait, across all characters means "with any character" or with each and every character? So if its the average, and i have never opened a chest with lets say, kerilian, that means i have 1/5 less? Or that with one character is enough?
@@darkanayer5867 One character is enough if you still don't know, open something on bardin and get a 300 weapon because I got 300 everything on one other person.
I've played this game for hundreds of hours, and dragged 7 of my friends into this game, and in all my time looking at guides and videos, yours are easily the best guide videos for vermintide 2 out there right now. I love your videos dawg, keep it up!
Just to clarify: Veteran items/Reds can be found from Champion General and Emperor chests, as well as any and all Legend vaults. One can get them from commendation chests too.
Wonder about the drop rates tho, which is where the end game grind in Vermintide comes from. Legend is so much more annoying to clear compared to champ, which is way too easy. Wish I could play Legend for the higher chests without dying in a few hits.
Thank you for this, when I was recently trying to explain how this stuff worked to a friend who is new to the game, I couldn’t remember how it worked, so the timing was perfect for this to come out. Very useful guide for new players.
With legend runs done on all classes(except new elf) and finishing up cata on all the maps, I didn't really understand what those numbers meant. Just make number bigger basically. You make concise and easy to watch videos, thank you.
Well, crap. Here I was thinking the numbers were tied to level, opening chests for my level 30 Saltzpyre wondering why I’m still at 195. Guess I should open those 35+ gold chests I have lying in my inventory. So question: When calculating what to drop, does it go off of what’s in your inventory at the moment, or what you can roll as well? Basically, should I open 5 at a time, or will that hinder my potential progression in power level, even if it’s super minute?
regarding 3:00 Not sure but i think you can also get red items from Champion Chests as well. As long as they are General's or Emperor's. Great video though
Good video but I'm still confused. I'm a new player and my little hero found a halberd. The weapon has 13 less power than her current item, but it has the following traits: armor piercing and high damage. Her current item has fast attacks and versatile. I have no idea what any of that means, or which one to use, so I'm just keeping her current item as the power is higher. I know it probably won't matter because after 1 or 2 missions, it'll likely be replaced anyway, but I wish there was more information about these items and traits.
those are just weapon descriptors. Weapon types are fundamentally different, and the 3 green tool tips are meant to roughly explain what they do. weapon power itself honestly matters surprisingly little, to the point its fine to use a low power weapon if it's attack pattern is better for you
I feel like red items are overrated, since you can RNG max property values on orange items anyway with enough dust. If you got double effectiveness on your trait or something as well, I think that would be a better incentive to try to upgrade. As it is now, red item drops seem pretty rare for me. I've been playing for a long time, and have only ever looted 2 reds from lootboxes.
Do we know the difference in chances for reds between general vs emperors vaults? Cuz it’s a lot easier for me to get generals without having to do quick play
@@labeetas4171 Yes, it has been datamined and tested to be around this Champ General’s: 1.5% Champ Emperor’s: 4.8% Legend Peasant’s: 3.4% Legend Commoner’s: 4.3% Legend Merchant’s: 7.7% Legend Soldier’s: 9.1% Legend General’s: 10.1% Legend Emperor’s: 16.7% (This list is from years ago and I believe they did increase red drop chance since then so add a couple of percentages to each one and you'll have your drop chance)
So does the Strength potion increase damage or power and what about the Wastes potion Wrath and prophetic strike. I still don't really know after almost 500 hours playing this game.
Potion of Strength just gives you a flat damage increase and makes all attacks armor piercing and shield breaking Potion of wrath is the Chaos Waste's version of a strength potion since it does the same thing (Although i believe it does it by more, but i'm not 100% sure) Prophetic strike increases your actual hero power level, which in turn increases flat damage as well as cleave/stagger
I know this video is a year old but hopefully this can get answered. If im playing a DLC Career (Warrior Priest) can I ever get red items to drop from chests? And along with that, If I have never had a red item drop on anyone, would I never be able to craft one if I kept playing on Warrior Priest, since I cant dismantle them if they don't drop from Chests.
Bit late, but maybe better than never! You won't get warrior priest specific items from chests, because fat shark is bad at making chests. But you will get items for that character (Saltzpyre), so you could get a red rapier, brace of pistols or whatever weapons, plus you can get red jewelry as well. To get your red WP hammer though, you will have to find 5 reds of any kinds, dismantle them to get the dust and then upgrade an orange hammer into a red one.
Does Item rarity matter? Because I noticed that my blue weapons consistently have better power levels than their orange counterparts. As a new commer to Vermintide II, this makes no sense to me. Any ideas?
Higher rarity doesn't automatically mean higher power. Like I said in the video higher rarity just gets you more properties and a trait (which are super important and arguably more important that hero power)
