I'd say the 5th, accepting failure is the most important. Higher difficulties are amazingly fun, but there are times when your party almost irreparably (save for a carry dwarf saving the day) gets screwed by the game director; horde, binding specials and elites at the worst place and worst time. This is the time when you should just sigh, shrug and try again because it wasnt that anyone in your team didnt do well, its something that happens. Eventually youll get the hang of it and learn V2 is in fact a rythim game and your brain will automatically make you turn 180 degrees and pop the leech in the head as soon as you hear the fat bastard teleport
There are very few spots, where the game just slaps you and wipes your team. If all four players: 1) know, how to build (or recognise and copy) and use all around build or at least how to use rightly their specific builds, 2) know what targets to mark and to prioritise, 3) let other team member deal with certain situations (do not step infront of Sienna or flame cannon during the swarm, or bounty hunter during monster encounter ever or do not cry because of ff) and rather cover the other paths with which enemies can come, 4) spread with monster on scene and stick together when you hear specials, 5) know where to fight which enemy (ledges, corners, open space, doors, ...), 6) grab and cary, if not using, the consumables, they can be given to players with "sharing perks" (later). Then the game can be so easy and nice even on "pub qp" legend 9/10 times. You could say in short: Just know your build, for what is bad and for what is good. Use your brain and inventory slots ...
@@Z3ZP No one is perfect, including me or you, everyone has room for improvement. I am comfortly sitting on the Legend (because it's most fun diff to me, combat flows nicely) so i can't speak for Cata. But there are quite capable palyers in qp. Surprisingly even new players below lvl 35. Usually one or two of them can do majority of these tasks. The biggest problem is 5) bad place for fight, the most common are 2) marking and 6) carry. But i've been lucky to join some really crazy teams in qp and every missions with them was smoot like the android's butt. If you do majority of these tasks the rest is experiences and bit of skill or reflexes.
@@Setnja92 But individually good players ≠ good teamwork. I see really good players on both cata and legend, but the problem is most often in teamplay, not because they’d be bad, but just because they have a different idea than the others.
Another important reason worth mentioning to run block cost reduction in higher difficulties is because enemies' attacks cost way more stamina to block in legend and cataclysm.
Unless getting pounded by a group of storm vermin + a horde on cataclysm as iron breaker trying to revive the elf that went down to that one random slaverat that managed to get behind the group. While I as the ironbreaker was controlling the horde +patrol. when your ult is almost used up after using it to control the horde and patrol. BCR is a lifesaver. Bcr and stamina recovery is very important for frontline's/tanky medics.
The jump from veteran to champion isn't much, just don't get hit by stormvermin overheads or chaos knights (ESPECIALLY chaos knights' overhead attacks) and you can outheal most damage with temporary health generation provided you aren't getting hit constantly. Learn how to dodge specials, hook rat, gutter runner and life leech can all be dodged if you dodge to the side (DO NOT DODGE BACKWARDS VS ANY OF THESE). And if you grab monster attention, kite it and try your best to dodge the hits (dodge backwards).
Another tip that I find useful is to not panic and rush to kill specials all the time. Move around a corner and the gunner cannot get you; a storm can sometimes even be in your advantage if you stumbled upon a Stormvermin patrol, etc. Just assess the situation and ask yourself what the immediate threat is. Assassins and hook rats are usually the ones that can end the game quickly, but the others can often be dealt with in a calm and planned manner.
Yeah thats good and nice advice but 19/20 times you will get paired ( if you don play with friends) with some try hard rushers. That just trying to rush the map and don't even bother with reviving or rescuing if they don't need to.
Another tip I would add is Don't overcommit to killing Elites/Specials/Bosses. In a controlled setting, your team will be able to suppress specials and hold down elites no problem. It's when you can't successfully do this due to sheer numbers, Armor, HP, Bosses, etc. Is when you have to start picking your battles. By this I simply mean that repositioning during a fight of any kind is more important than trying to go for a sacrificial play where you go all in. Stalling is a key tactic I see for some team comps since they're unable to deal with certain groups of enemies, EG: Melee focused team with little to no range, Tanky team but lack of DPS/Burst, Or a Boss Killer Comp but poor wave clear/no frontliners. I watched Royale w/ Cheese's latest video and I commented on how his team took to kiting and repositioning constantly in order to wear out the hordes and he responded that his comp lacked elite killing power which I did indeed see.

I feel that the jump from champion to legend was way bigger than the jump from legend to cata. A good rule of thumb i used is to look at how much damage i took in a game, i started to transition to legend when i could get champion runs with less than 200 damage taken fairly reliable. The main difference between champ and legend for me was positioning and dodging, on legend you want to be somewhat tactical as to where to fight a horde or monster and ideally you want to dance around a horde or lock a monster by baiting overheads and dodging backwards before running back in and repeating the process. Cata really wasn't that much more difficult, you still want to prioritise not getting hit but you have to learn to deal with more mixed hordes and tune your builds accordingly.
The description of breakpoints feels imprecise - it should be the utilisation of any damage that results in killing an enemy type faster by reducing the number of attacks to kill it.

Hm, think the video would've been better if you talked about tactical tips instead of the technical side of it.
