    I stopped making cupcakes because I could never figure out why the patty pulled away from the cupcake. Have tried so many things to stop this from happening but nothing worked. Thanks Nick maybe over mixing was the problem x

      Yes. When one ingredient is supposed to be room temperature, they should all be unless the recipe says otherwise.

    I live in the US and I’ve never seen superfine sugar in a grocery store 😅 just granulated and powdered

      Same here in Canada. You can always put the granulated sugar in a food processor to make it super fine 😊

      I once bought Great Value Granulated Sugar at Walmart and it was the finest granules of sugar I have come across! I don’t know if it was a one off thing, or if the sugar is always like that, but you may want to try it out:) Saves some time so you don’t have to use the food processor!

      I usually use bakers sugar ultrafine sugar which you can find almost anywhere!

    Small tip..Try make with shortening, omit oil and butter.. U will fall n love with it.. Bcoz its full fat

      Generally, no. If you really want to remove it, you can try using a butter substitute, but I'm not sure how well that would work.

    I’ve noticed all recipes state unsalted butter, however my local grocery only carries salted … will this be a problem?

      Just omit the salt in the recipe and use unsalted butter. The amount of sugar in this recipe will mask that salty flavor.

    Hi Nick, i tried this twice and my cupcake was dense in thr middle. I wonder if we need to cmix for another 20 sec after all wet and dry ingredients are mixed

      Cake flour - no substitute
      Room temperature milk, yogurt and eggs. Milk can be slightly warm even.
      Preheated oven at least 15 minutes and full baking time as recommended.

    I was wondering if I it will work.. adding cocoa powder to make them chocolate cupcakes?? 🤔🤔 or is a no no? Haha

      Cocoa powder dries so you might need more moisture. I would suggest chocolate chips in this recipe and just try another Nick recipe for chocolate cupcakes. My two pennies 😉

    Your cupcakes look fantastic, but the ratio of frosting to cake is too high. It’s like almost 50/50 frosting to cake.

      Are you using butter or margarine? Cause I could definitely see margarine (country crock) cause that issue....
