Honestly the dial is a real plus rather than a negative. It is so much easier to use than the touch screen while you are driving. You get used to it and I really prefer it
I just bought this car last month and it has been amazing. It is a blast to drive and so comfortable. We have the turbo version and it really pulls nicely
The CX50 is shared with the Corolla Cross at the Toyota/Mazda plant in Huntsville, Alabama, not Hyundai. I have this exact CX 50 in the same trim and same color. December will be two years that I’ve had it, and I love it! This trim has the 12 speaker Bose system, a heads up display, the power folding mirrors as you mentioned, heated and ventilated seats along with all the standard safety features! I felt it was a great value for the money!😁
4:29 “the bigger the wheel, the better the ride”? I have the 2025 CX-50 TPP with those wheels. Maybe next year I’ll get smaller wheels with fatter sidewalls for a better ride.
Thanks for commenting. Kelly drove this commuting for a day (50 miles each way) and they were definitely comfortable for that. It had a lot of adjustments on it. Now, had she not made adjustments for the personalized comfort I can see it being uncomfortable. But, she was surprised how much you were able to adjust for comfort.
Great review Kelly and Dave. Mazda has a good deal with this CX-50. Did not know it was made at Hyundai’s Alabama plant. The same plant where Hyundai makes their Tucson. I know that as my wife drives a Tucson. She loves it. Have you ever had one to test drive? It is a decent driving vehicle. Mazda is probably a bit sportier to drive.
This car needs improvements in the interior, for example. The A/C light is obstructed by the HVAC knob. I like sport cars, for a SUV however, the steering in this car is way too heavy. I also found the 2.5 very underwhelming on this car, it moves the CX5 much better. Great looking car.
Love Mazda but its a shame that they push overly-complex & likely problematic cylinder-deactivation & start/stop (iStop) engine tech onto almost all their vehicles these days in order to meet fuel economy regulations. Also, not a fan of turbo engines, so guess I'm sticking to my 2022 CX-30 CE for a bit since it has none of those three engine techs in it.
@AllTerrainNation Goodyears come from factory on so many cars and trucks. They are horrible! My 2017 Ram 1500 had 3 flats. When you took the Goodyear Wranglers SRA(?) off the rims, they wouldn't stand up on their own they were so thin. Back around 1984, I went to replace the factory Goodyeat Vectors on a Plymouth Kcar. The tire dealer asked me if I had any preference, and I said I would like the same Goodyear Vectors. The place broke out in laughter, and he said, "There's one in every crowd."
@@DaveInCanada081 I have to agree with you on that! I had them on a 2007 Lexus RX 350 and they didn’t seem to last very long, so after that I stuck with Michelins. After the goodyears wear out on my CX50, I will be changing to the Michelins!
UPDATE: The Mazda is built at the Toyota/Mazda plant in Huntsville, Alabama
Thank you for the important update. I vote with my dollars so made in North America is important to me.

Absolutely!!!!

You had me at “Kelly’s been wearing this thing out.”
Attah girl!😂😂😂
By most reports, larger wheels improve appearance but decrease ride quality.

Does it have the 360 camera feature?
Kelly said yes
Only the turbo premium plus
Thinking of getting one, but reading a lot about poor seat comfort on long trips. Are they too hard?

We haven’t worked with them yet
It is not made at the Hyundai plant. It is made at the Toyota/Mazda plant in Huntsville, Alabama.
Think Kelly would be a more knowledgeable reviewer. The guy seems not to know the car!
They share the plant with Toyota in Alabama

Dave got a lot of junk in the trunk, too
Goodyear garbage
Dont hold back Dave :)
