i believe there's a setting (forget where it is/what it's called) that allows you to use the touchscreen while driving with carplay/android auto but by default it's set to only be usable while stopped
People somehow don’t get how comfortable and safe it feels to use an infotainment using a rotary knob and surrounding buttons while on the move. I’m considering getting a Mazda for my daily driver solely for the above feature. Sucks that the 6spd mt on the hatchback is reserved only for the premium version which is over 30k.
100% this. I got a '24 CX-50 Premium back in February. It took me about 10 minutes of sitting in it before purchase to go from "geez, this knob setup is weird." to "Ok, yeah this interface is amazing." it takes a small bit of getting used to, but the ergonomics and convenience factor is off the charts.
I've actually am looking at a '24. It'll take thumbing around and see what works for you. There's the manual to read too. It'll keep the screen smudge free and you won't get a distorted glare from a smudge.
Is there a way to make the RUclips Music go full screen on the infotainment system in Android Auto? I don't always want to me looking at the map while I'm driving.
7:16 I don't know why anyone would have those on to begin with. Safety settings are nothing but a nuisance. I'm glad there are options to disable all that stuff.
Having driven this car, this control knob is AWFUL as the ONLY interface for use while driving. Decent in the included infotainment, but once you're into Android Auto - it's jumping between HUGE sections of the screen, and never scrolling the area I want it to. INCREDIBLY frustrating trying to make sure you're selecting the right thing - and taking your eyes off the road WAY more to LOOK/FIND at which thing has the little outline than to just poke it with your finger
Talking way too fast and moving the camera around unnecessarily. Why did you show RUclips Music (which nobody has) and not Spotify (which everybody has)? Finally, you could have demonstrated setting the EQ on the audio and said a few words about audio quality in the cabin. Weren’t you thinking about what most people want to know about?
surround high deff 360 camera for God's sake mazda!!!! why so stingy !!! its 2024 , infotainment processor also slow , if not for the good looks of the design ( comfort is so so , fuel efficiency ? so so ) i would not buy . so much slogan for PREMIUM this and that , i guess it is just superficial !!
My friend's 2024 cx5 doesn't have wireless carplay. I don't understand why there are still cars without wireless carplay in 2024. A $35k car doesn't have carplay. Mazda is really rubbish

Yes I believe so
I got a CX50 but I feel the sound of the music sounds better when it not wireless CarPlay and instead plugged in.
Good to know. I’ll try it plugged in. I haven’t been impressed with the sound.
Main thing that bugs me with the Bose system is that it doesn't really come alive until the volume is above 30 or so.
THANKS FOR GIDANCE. I HAVE 2023 MAZDA CX-50. hOW DO I CONNET A CD-PLAYER TO THE USB PORT WHEN BOOK SAY USB IS FOR POWER ONLY, WHAT TO PLAY MY MUSIC.

Is the use of connected services or the Mazda app required?
Can you switch between apple carplay and android the same way you did with apple carplay and default mazda homescreen?
Google map directions and fonts seem small to me. Is it possible to increase font size ?

On android auto and using full screen map..is there a physical button to change a song?
It looks like the screen was an after thought or mistake in this car, considering how small it is.

Maybe for satefy...

you can use the touchscreen when driving, just need to enable it in connectivity settings
Nope, was not an option in mine
U should get the 2024 db12 just to show off apple CarPlay 2.0
Shiiiii that's a good idea. Let me hit up 1-800-Aston-Martin.
But seriously, good idea
