Thanks Leslie! It isn't hard to make a good single layer card, but there are a lot of steps! Of course, you don't have to do them all!! I thought this little series on Christmas cards with limited supplies came out pretty well. I still have several more to make but most of them will be watercolor. I just got some really fun stamps from ebay that will be fun to work on after my skill improves.
I would also be a beginner at watercolor. You will be a great instructor for your viewers and I bet gain some new viewers.. I understand the moving situation. We moved a month ago and haven't unpacked my craft supplies yet either. Waiting for my desk to magically appear in my room.

Me... not so enthusiastic...LOL!!! 🤣 This is an enjoyable series, and hopefully it will motivate me to start on my Christmas cards. No guesses as to whether I want to see your water colour journey downloaded on to YT. We all have to start somewhere, and your videos will capture your water colour journey, and to encourage others to try water colouring. Yes, there are lots of videos on water colour techniques out there in YT land, but many are professional which can be overwhelming to the beginner artist. I notice that many card makers are using glue to adhere the card topper and layers to the card base, and of course I have started to do that as well. In the past I was using double sided adhesive tape, but I see now that it isn't lasting over time. I just received a pile of cards that I sent my mother going over many years, and all the layers have lifted from the card base. As a card maker I want my cards to stay intact and withstand the test of time. So, I will be using glue from now on. We put so much time into cards, and that is frustrating. I know I have received a few cards from others that are not adhered well. But those I have used glue on seem to be holding well. Hi Nina - I am not good at it at all. But I think that would be the point - that we all start somewhere and it's usually ugly at first. We just all need to do the skills drills and give ourselves some grace. That's why I started with really small pieces of paper and just a single purpose on each session. Sometimes only trying to paint a leaf! LOL

You are right. I wasn't demonstrating watercoloring. You can make this style card using any medium.
