- Thanks to Jakks Pacific for sending me the World of Nintendo Mario Kart 8 Mini Anti-Gravity RC Racer! Straight out of Mario Kart 8 for the Nintendo Wii U, this radio controlled car features Mario in his standard cart. Using the included controller, you can control the cart up to 100 feet away via tight turns, 360 spins, and even wheelies. Pressing the right shoulder button on the controller rotates the wheels down to change it into Anti-Gravity mode. The controls now give you more side to side freedom to do cool drifting tricks.

For those wondering about the wire connecting the remote to the kart, it is there to power the remote for in-store demo as the remote does NOT come with any batteries but the kart itself does. You need to pull the wire plus it's end terminal (little plug at the end of the wire) off from both the remote and kart. Then you will need to put batteries into the remote and power it on, then switch the power to On (not Try Me) on the kart which will make the remote power light turn solid and stop blinking. It's actually written in the manual.
Also, to do a wheelie, you need to put in fresh set of batteries. The ones included in the kart doesn't have enough juice for that trick.

The antigravity is supposed to move like that. You aren't supposed to stay in it while you drive. You use it to drift.

I was just about to ask the same exact question. My son is big mario fan and as I opened it I was like y the cord so short then I realized that the cord comes out so do I just remove it from the battery part too. What is it for when it battery operated. Sorry so long. Thanks

hello there, just wondering if you figured it out. i’m having the same problem where the remote just keeps blinking and it won’t sync to the kart
I saw a video where they opened it up and it was the sensor moves down. I didn't have the patience to open it all. So what I do is as soon as I see it blinking I turn it off. Before I turn it back on I turn the cart upside down and hit it softly to hopefully make the sensor move. Then I turn it back around and turn on the control and it works for me each time :-)

It’s not worth it. U can’t ride it on street roads and grass. U can’t really turn good if u ride it on carpets. It’s only good to ride it on hard floors like kitchen floors.
