For $350...you can't argue over this kit. Other kits sound better, and are more expensive. More then good enough for the asking price.
My wife and son got this for $265 off of Amazon. It was a one day deal. Merry Christmas to me indeed!
This drumset is really good.
I’ve had one for about one and a half years and I love it.
I have programmed 4 custom drumkits to my own preference and I’m absolutely happy with it.
Thank you for the demo video. Just picked up a limited blue version of this kit. Assembly took sometime but well worth the effort. Best bang for you buck start kit out there currently.
Why do edrum reviews always use the most annoying kit samples? Most of us are looking for the real drum sound that most e-kits can't produce and not the sounds that we already expect from an electric kit.
Probably because they sound like shit
@@MichaelAlexander-vr2om pretty much
I think most people don’t use the kits I think a lot of people use it as a midi controller. It’s the greatest benefit of it all imo
Because they have to show their chops.
Cause it's a 300$ kit that sounds like 300$ kit.
only $350. Great kit for beginners
Here in India, I had to pay ~$600 for this.
@@AniruddhJoshi $700 in Turkey
Lol i pay*600 for it
@@AniruddhJoshi $400 in india
Shubham Jogdand From where did you get it for $400?
Amazing , I'm gonna buy one this year 2024
same
Did you buy it?
What do you think of it?
I love mine.
I’m sold on buying this!👍
I just got my Alesis all mesh kit
and it is amazing
I had a Roland years ago and this kit is far superior
Great sounds
accurate response on hits
Easy to assemble
compact
And THE PRICE IS RIGHT
Picked mine up from Amazon
And I have no complaints
Its amazing

I've never really played the drums before but I've been wanting to get into a new hobby that is relatively cheap and gets a good cardio workout in. I just saw this on sale for like $349 at guitar center randomly and I think I might go pick something like this up. Is $349 a good deal for this item? Seemed pretty reasonable just wondering if theres a solid starter kit I should look into for lesser? Thanks.
@@ML-kx9gz that’s a very reasonable price and it’s a good kit.
@@ML-kx9gz it's a solid kit. the sounds aren't the greatest but the mesh heads are amazing. if you get tired of the sounds you could hook up a vst from a laptop and get really nice sounds.
@@ML-kx9gzdon’t listen to OP opinion about this he gets payed for this false advertising review but yes it’s a decent kit for beginners or intermediate players for a reasonable price.
Would you mind telling me how everything arrived through Amazon? All pieces in good condition?
The crash and ride cymbals are actually 10-inch; he incorrectly said "8-inch" in the video, probably because literally everything else you hit with a drumstick in this kit is 8-inch. Great beginner kit though.
there should be no such thing as a single zone ride.
say it louder for the people at alesis
yeah but its $350....
I’m new to drumming, why is that?
@@raineyraine5887 because the ride has two hit points the ride itself and the bell at the middle
@Rohan Reed maybe mine was messed up but I returned it a day later. Didn’t feel right
I love mine!! It's amazing!!!
chris dougherty does require an external speaker or amp? Where does the actual sound resonate from?
@@blkhemi3925 in your head
I brought it ! :) from guitar center that store is best
1. Do you like it so far?
2. Can you connect bluetooth headphones to it instead of wired headphone?
3. Are the cymbals dual zoned? Can they produce a bell sound?
I would like to see a picture of it folded and put away.
Do you have any of your own now? I'd also like to see this
Wow Like sound
im really interested on this kit but can i setup other sounds on the tom rims? like for example i want to add a splash cybal sound on the 1st tom rim and china cymbal sound on the 2nd tom rim.
Randolf Delos Reyes only the snare has a rim sound
@@elizabethbrant54 thanks for the info, looks like im going for the surge mesh then
I call this guy open hi-hat drummer
I mean it in a good way
I'm a guitarist, not a drummer so this might be a stupid question. Can I just plug into a monitor, or mixer? or do I actually need an amp? Tried running my brothers kit through guitar amps and it sounded quite a bit worse than bad, so I would have to buy an amp.
Where does the sound come out of? Does it require an exterior speaker, reciever, or amp?
michael lawton you have the option of using headphones or a monitor amp. Neither of which are included.
Yeah u can use an amp or headset
I play mine thru headphones.
Keeps peace in the house & neighbors.
Peace
@Number Of sin random 3.5 mm
know Google ?
What monitors/speakers would you recommend for loud playing?
This kit is specifically designed for the parent who has no appreciation for music, yet has a child whom begs for access to a musical instrument. Great work Alesis: saving parents from being complete assholes, by providing a great tool for the price-point.
Wow really? Or Maybe some people arent in the financial situation to buy a $1000 kit, yet still want to provide a means for whomever to better themselves and this meets and exceeds that need.
Scott Summers I think you misinterpreted my meaning.
As stated in the final sentence of my original post: It is a great tool at a great price point.
One which I believe, in many cases, will assist kids who may have a cheap-asshole dad who, without access to such a well priced tool, would otherwise buy their kid a wiffle-ball set and tell their kid “there’s no future in music kiddo.”
As for the less financially enabled folks, I made no comment whatsoever in that regard.
This drum kit is asshole-proof: that was my point.
This drum kit helps promote the musical dreams of kids by removing the pathetic excuses of asshole parents: that was my point.
Regarding parents of limited income or other resources: I made no point, nor mention.
Hope that clears it up for you.
I live in an apartment , and my recording studio is in a small 7 by 12 half bedroom. I don't have the space for a full acoustic drum kit, and even if I did I'd never be able to play them without pissing off the entire building. This kit was a total godsend. I can play and record with them all day every day at all hours and no-one else hears a thing. The build quality, performance, large on board sound palette and compact size of the Alesis Nitro Mesh was a perfect match for what I needed, and it doesn't come off as "entry level" at all. That's what impressed me the most. I couldn't be any happier with it and would gladly recommend this kit to anyone.
I am that father
And then of course there is me who knows a bit how to play but still runs the cats out of the neighborhood.😆
I went with roland's TDK that's 700 with a double pedal and 2 cymbals. I'm glad I did. This would of pissed me off after a year. Single zone cymbals lol
Can i put dual zone or triple zone extension cymbals?
Dual zone capable cymbals work but usually means a chokable function. I have this kit. The extension kits cymbal is dual zone. The tom is dual. But the rim may not have a sound assigned to it. If you hear a broken clicking swish. That's just the sensor working. It can be made or assign as a snare. Modules not programmed for 3 zones.
will this work with roland heads? i have an older roland set up and some parts i may want to use with this
Max or mesh better? Hearing negative comments on nitro max sound demo.
can you add 1 addition cymbals?
Yep
Why is the bass drum sound really low?
What would be the best STICKS for electronic mesh kits?
literally just whatever sticks you like for your acoustic kits
CRAZY does this mesh break easily? n it needs light weight sticks?
Whatever weight, (I has to used lighter sticks) but the tip has to be nylon, wood tip can brake the mesh
Was always told to be careful with nylon tips and mesh heads on electric kits, but standard 7A, 5A, 5B wood tip, any really are fine, I used to work in a music store and have had electric kits, been drumming for 15 years and can tell you that nylon is usually recommended for light jazz, blues drumming etc, not for every day use on mesh head electric kits
@@XxDarklexX Its actually the other way around
Can I change the ride cymbals sound to other crash cymbals or china cymbal whenever I need?
can this work with kick double pedal & can it add an extra crash cymbals?
That's what I'm hoping for...(double kick pedal).
It literally says in the video that you can add in a cymbal
Can I use double bass pedals on this???
Thanks. I have this kit already and I use double bass pedals.
Which ones do you use, and how did you get them?
Can use a doble pedal without problems? (Death Metal play)
Yes
Cant use a double pedal the kick pad is to small for it will have to upgrade that
Yes, should just fit in there if you position it correctly!
Can you hook this up to a speaker so you can play outloud?
Andreas Nottelmann yeah
Should the kick pedal not be white side out ? Dark side contacting?
Jim Hardy not white, I heard it leaves marks on the bass drum, but it feels better, but up to you?
Can you buy another frame for the drums
less talk and more playing now that's a review which i wanna see
Galera essa batera é ótima ...tenho ela...podem comprar sem medo...cada peça dela é editável
Jonathan, também tenho uma. Excelente mesmo
Does anyone know if you can plug your phone into it somehow and earbuds so I can listen to music and play?
No, you are Jordan Peele
Need drummer opinions would digital be okay for beginners
Can pads/cymbals be swapped out for 2-zone or 3-zone replacements?
Maybe a bit late replying, but no. The Nitro has no sounds ready for 2 or 3 zone rides. But, one of the rides does have a bell sound if you got harder, so that velocity based. Hope this helped!
Can connect my double kick pedal
I’ve heard it can, but most people have trouble as the sensor size of the bass pad is small. It sometimes doesn’t pick up the notes. Single pedal works the best.
Legit would love to hear some real drum sounds that aren't the super electronic sounding garbage
Can one of the toms be programmed as a ride cymbal?
Yep
Should I get this or a used roland td11k?
RUclips Machine Thanks a lot for your reply! I actually got impatient and ended up with a choice between a used td11k for EUR 450 or a used yamaha dtx450k for 250 (both in excellent condition & with the same extras). I went with the dtx since I had no idea if I would even like playing drums. With all the comments on every dtx video review being along the lines of "dont get this trash, get a roland instead", I got a bit worried but when I finally picked it up I was actually very pleasantly surprised by the quality and the kit in general. It was also really cheap, so I'll probably be able to sell it without much of a loss if I end up quitting or if I upgrade to the new td17 :)
So many legit questions below, why doesn't Alesis , the company that's trying to sell you this set, why doesn't it simply answer the questions as they are posed? They don't seem that complicated!
Noice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what sticks I must use on this.. ? and is this mesh n cymbals durable? n hope its not easy breaking..
can anyone help
You can use any sticks and its not the most durable kit in the world but if you dont smash it super hard it shouldnt break for atleast a few years. Mesh heads can break but theyre replacable and wont tear if you dont hit them super super hard
Wysteriant thanks for information..
Does anyone know the weight of the box, for transportation? thank you
I believe the full package comes in at just under 50 pounds
@@Reaper-fz8oj Is there any Latency or lag when you hit drum pad for Alesis Nitro?
Bumin Kağan It definitely feels totally different from an acoustic kit but the lag is so low that it isn’t noticeable at all
@@Reaper-fz8oj Thank you.
HI ANGELA
Can i have a doble pedall?
Yes
sadly this kit sounds way too consistent. it could have used alot more sound samples. the crash cymbal sounded especially repetitive. but the price is not bad
HoshiHearts RetroGaming Even though I’m gonna get this drum set, you are right about this drum set
it's the price of a nice ride cymbal
For starters is alright, if you want more sounds, just buy a new module
nothing a computer a some effects cant change
how loud is the cymbals and kick drum when you're not hearing the actually sounds, how loud is the the plastic?
Dan not much. But still, I won’t play it at night when there is people sleep in the next room. Also, the vibrations from the kick travel directly to the floor, and will annoy neighbors downstairs.
I wonder if this will fit inside a semi truck lol.
How to assemble it:

Is the ride chockable
No
If you don't like this buy the Donner ded 400
Its eveything you would want
This guy I know got this for his wife's boyfriend
Made in China?
For a factory, Drummer, seriously dude, just stop.
Single zone ride. Worst shit ever.
Tons without sensibility , without layers....without dinamic....
artificial sounds....ugly ugly...in The Brazil...U$700...Oh man...NO WAY
Just what we didn't need, another fake drum kit!
I have both acoustic and electric. These things are alot of fun.
John DeF What is fun is playing an acoustic kit that is all mic’ed up and going through some huge JBL subwoofers. When I hit my kick drum it sounds like an earthquake. This is my idea of fun
when all of your music is done at midnight, it's a good option when you have a family asleep.
tmananddaddy You are right. I did that for many years.
Have an open mind and your life will probably get a lot more enjoyable.
is it working with a double kick pedal
