Barbara is exceptional..... Just got her book on audible a couple days ago, its really nice that she tells the story of her life She took notes all her life diaries and kept them and then she just goes through them that is her book It almost just sounds like she's chatting step by step about her life..... I'm so happy she's still alive and doing well.... So any celebrities die way too young.

Oh my holy mythical god... this was at her peak! Truly no one could touch her from 1965-1979... truly a vocal talent touched by THE finger of some god!! She has no "break" between her chest, belt and head voice! A freak of nature and how lucky we are to live in a time period we can have these recordings!

For me, Barbra is the Hollywood version of ugly. Still beautiful but not fitting in the Hollywood standards. In fact, the only feature that is unconventional is her nose and yet, it fits her face. She has beautiful eyes, lips, cheek bones, bone structure, beautiful glowin skin. She's just beautiful.

She is beaming. She kills it with her heaven-sent voice, talent and charme. She has left all those way behind her who would follow her: Whitney, Beyoncé, Mariah, (not to even mention Gaga) etc etc... She is one of a kind - and no one will ever get close to her.
I fell in love with that girl in 1965 when I was 17 a senior in high school when her first hit song was "People" when I saw her picture I thought she was a knockout for real.
What a perfection!! No words what she can do with her voice, comes from heaven. She was, is and will always be a Diva, the #1 vocalist of all times. / along with Whitney and Celine. No one will ever be greater than them /

Streisand was at her vocal prime during the early 70's (well, in fact she was always exceptional, but......). Not only her best rendition to My Man, she delivered Don't Rain on my Parade like she never had before nor did later. Only time we got to hear her singing How Lucky.......live and it's a breathtaking experience.

I can still remember this wintery night back in March of 1975. It was indeed live and just as Barbra began to hum beginning of The Way We Were, we began experiencing power outages due to major snowstorm here in the midwest. It was decades before this special was ever seen again (thanks to You Tube).

I remember too! I was 14 years old and mesmerized. I’d seen Funny Girl and loved hearing her belt out her big hits from that movie. My goodness, I feel blessed that my lifespan overlapped with hers to experience her amazing talent.

@@fulviopetri1442 Yeah. This is not the entire special. And I remember Barbra and James Caan doing another duet where they actually danced together. Shortly after that, they ran out of time and Barbra said, in essence, “Well that’s live television for you.“ I hope that part has been found and can be restored!

Ford, Roger Mudd, George Foreman, Dick Gregory, Ray Stark, Cis Corman, Barbara Walters, Sec. of Treasury Wm. Simon (whose glasses I knocked off by accident when the lady in front of me threw her mink stole around, hit me in the eye, made me throw my head back right into Simon, as were were leaving the theatre-totally 100% true story), Eunice Shriver, Rose Kennedy, Sen. Ed Kennedy, many more.
