Good work John I had a video of a cop demanding a bribe from me last year but I deleted it. Next time I will share videos with you, also ask members of the public to buy dashcams and lobby MPs to pass laws allowing mandatory dash cams in PSV vehicles, they will be afraid to accept bribes while openly being recorded
Great work, Namu. And great courage too. The story of corrupt police has been told so many times that it has become part of our common folklore. My concern, however, is whether any content that you capture can be adduced in court to enable prosecution of these individuals (as most of it is captured in secret and the witnesses may not be willing to appear) or this will just be another chapter in famous Kenyan police tales. Godspeed.
Great job. Keep at it. They are still out there. Just a few days ago, I saw one taking a bribe at the Ring Rd Kilimani - Ngong Road intersection. We should never stop doing our part in our pursuit to live right and leave a better world for our children.
I have really been waiting to see what you are up to...i saw u on ngong road bt i couldnt say hi...bt i was amazed...u r our kenyan ROSS KEMP...endelea tu.
great job Allan the Matatu industry has a workers union called PUTON which stands for Public Transport Operators Union which has been raising the problems of the industry workers, many times the view of the industry's workers is not taken to account when solving the many problems on or roads. Atleast Allan you spoke to one of us
we here in kenya are tired of the traffic police taking bribes and the kanjo's of nairobi. im a victim. i have been working in the matatu industry for years.. the kanjo's also play a veery big role. first they arrest any conductor they see and they dont take you anywhere near the stations unless you dont want to pay the bribe. they harrass you. this is not just corruption. i see this as roberry with violence
in the early morning traffic operations along thika road specifically the drive inn bumps near survey and the famous guru nanak. wanapiga hesabu ya kila mtu ameshikwa ni 3k,,, i wish kaa kuna vile i could help in the unveiling of their true colors. thank you. information wise, thika road and nairobi town i can give you for free
@Africa Uncensored and John Allan Namu, you should also do a documentary of how these touts take advantage of innocent passengers. As much as we are focusin on the so called 'Fisi Askaris', them touts kwanza are so ruthless and very arrogant. Especially that at 6:17 I have a personal load of experiences with that fella, very very ruthless!!
Compare that 500 bribe to a 20k Fine in court ill choose a bribe anyday. I read an article where a man refused to give a bribe for a broken headlight and was fined 20k for that offence in court . You can guess what he said after the ruling. 😂😂😂😂
bluetuff1 I see your point but unfortunately he will give the bribe and continue driving with a broken headlight which will have dire ripple effects, for him and us all.maybe fatal even.
You forgot between choo no 8 to bus station.Between 7 to 9 AM tax collection done by few traffic police.the clip is available.Ask either of police in action where is your No?
Sincerely speaking, this show offers nothing new. We all know or had our way though bribing. For all its worth, we need more solutions and less stories.
MUGENDI MURIUKI Hi Mugendi. That it has been with us so long means that we need to stop normalising it. To answer your questions though, keep watching, we have that well in hand.
Speaking of complaining, John Allan Namu is the one doing all the complaining; like a typical Kenyan. The above video; plus the rest of them in this series, is enough proof.
This traffic police on the roads have targets too, the bribes they receive are not theirs they are for the big fish in their offices. So we cant just blame them all the time. We gat to be realistic guys
You should have given an example from a country which citizen would not think of bribing policemen, there has been such good masterpieces b4 best t they come and go people need good example. good work though! 2 that matatu driver you just given evidence that you bribe the po'po's :D
Kenya needs to pay teachers and police officers better. This issue is never addressed. These are careers that should be coveted by many not as a last result of joblessness but because it is a well paying, great benefit job. Similar to the u.s. just my thoughts.
people like sholei, waiguru u call them in studio for hero interview a police who earn 30k is wat u enjoy dragging down. until when u will unearth rot in gok ministries, i wil trash this.
Linda Odeso wat about people who lost their lives in the hands of these officer when they beat them ruthlessly and leave them to die ?just because of 50 bob plus accidents caused by them? think twice before you post umavi kaa mshahara yako haitoshi tafuta kazi ingine ama watafute kazi ya driver si kuhatarisha maisha yetu
Not many people would be able to do the work Namu and his team do! Great job !
Looking forward to the next episode, great work. And thanks for the subtitles!

two wrongs don't make a right, if you did the crime pay the fine as a lesson.
Joseph Tsuma true but the legal system needs revision.

I like it wow
what?????half a billion shillings a month..?? shame on u traffic police....God is watching you
bribes are wrong but the fines impounded are ridiculously high. its as if the government wants you to give bribes
