- It’s exactly five years since the body of IEBC official Christopher Msando was discovered in a thicket in Kikuyu, three days after he had gone missing.
Msando had been brutally murdered alongside 21-year-old Carol Maryanne Wairimu Ngumbu, throwing the election preparations into disarray just eight days to the 2017 vote.
The government promised speedy investigations, but to date, no one has been brought to book over the shocking twin murders.

An IEBC staff member is relieved on a compulsory leave, reported by the commission to the media. Musando is to step in for the relieved Staff member. A few days later the guy is brought back to work and this time around there is no public information of the officer coming back to work... Then Musando is abducted and murdered...The Elections come and go, IEBC refuses to open the servers as ordered by the Supreme court. Presidential elections' results nullified, a rerun is ordered, other commissioners resign other get laid off. Seriously!? Conclusively I see that there is a Judas Iscariot in the commission who betrayed Musando and the ... knows who killed Musando. It's a pity that elections in Kenya is a matter of life and death. May the souls of the two rest in peace
Clearly, there is a relationship between Musando's death and the controversial comeback of the IEBC ICT official who had been on compulsory leave. The DCI failed/ refused to put to justice those murderers.

The way Chebukati was talking to journalists outside the mortuary, it is not hard to see that he knew what happened although it cant be proven. Lies have a way of sticking out like sore thumbs.

Hearing the spokesman of the national police service say this case is still active angers and pains me to the core. After five whole years?? These people have zero regard to human life especially the life of a Kenyan woman. People will be quick to judge carol but forget those were two consenting adults. Carol and her family Didn't and still don't deserve what they went through.
Hope President Ruto will act on it, now that the two main suspects are no longer in power.

There are 3 major factors in play.
Msando's death was orchestrated by top politicians.
Jedidah was ignorant and almost opportunistic like her sister; by a look at Chris she would tell Msando had a wife yet she did nothing to prevent her sister pushing with him. The fact that she used to drink with Carol and Msando leaves many questions unanswered!
Carol was too ambitious about life despite her Christianity upbringing!
We need to learn from this sequel!

I agree with Human Rights Lawyer and Irungu who was one of the last to see late Chris Msando , that there is still need of closure for the affected families 5 years later but they are still in darkness on the crime incidents and I think competence of DC I warrants investigation is it institutional capacity failings or collusion with those who engaged in the crime ? I think IEBC colleagues and all those others ought to have been probed ensuring no stones remain unturned but far from transparent on going investigation case has gone very cold and institution responsible for bringing closure appears to be complicit or indifferent to bring about closure its sign of state complicity , just like other assassinations which have taken place in past in which those responsible were not held to account , this recent case has become very cold and its sad that such cases remain unresolved even after TJRC , this ability to assassinate officials like this only empowers those responsible , the other fact is that Raila Odinga had even stated that he knew who was behind the crimes ? and justice that remains unresolved is justice denied , very sad narration and revisit of 2017 election
