- The late former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi had devised strategies and tactics that endeared him to the masses, and years later, his crowd-pulling strategies are still being applied. Nowadays, huge crowds at political events are a show of might, popularity and influence. But are they organic and genuine?
Are the masses supporting the politicians or amassing money for themselves? NTV's Sidney Chazima sat down with various players in the political arena in search of answers, and tonight, he brings us a comprehensive report on Crowds For Hire.

I like what NTV is doing by bringing up the truth through documentaries.
NTV is doing a good work. Interesting how we go for money. A lot of money. Later expect them to develop and not steal our money.
That is the biggest disease ailing Kenya. We vote for goons yet we expect so much from them, Kenyans should not be complaining about corruption if they themselves vote for corrupt leaders.

The guy who campaigns with songs and folklore is brilliant
This is world class reporting and documenting. I commend the directors and producers of this feature. I also wish every person in Kenya would watch and understand this. Understanding the main message in this video will free alot of people's minds and ease alot of tensions pre and post elections.

It’s interesting how the politicians themselves speak on how they fool us with the campaign moneys and we still go for them💔…This documentary needs to be aired every now and then before and after the elections… It’s so enlightening if we put work to it.
This kind of feature documentaries need to be made mainstream media by our media channels. This is a real eye-opener. We need this kind of of deep dive into these kind of issues.
Politics is not dirty, it's people who make it dirty.
Well what's politics without people? The truth is that the two are intertwined. Politics is people and people are politics. At the end of the day politics is dirty and there's no way around it.
Voter education is needed....they need to know how much power they have...(that is if the rigging machine isn't in play )

As you appreciate NTV, Know to different between ferrying genuine supporters to his meetings and hiring people for side show. Ruto has been using people's negligency to popularise his UDA party by ditching out MONEY and hiring people to his meetings and to me that is cheap politics and will die soon

It's disheartening to see the cycle of political menace we have entertained as a nation. By now we ought to know the change we hope for will never come from a Politician, but will start from the Voters with a changed mindset, wanting radical change.

I think ntv should come up with part 2 of how market capitalism as a system works, how rich business persons manipulate the political class to enrich themselves.
We are in a dark stage. Our politics is corrupt, toxic and tribal. If these are the leaders we are expecting to build kenya, fight corruption,etc then we are in for a huge shock. There's no light at the end of the tunnel.

I was surprised that a politician with 2 children studying abroad in Europe, stands to tell Kenyans not to practice family planning because we have resources.
which infinite resources does Kenya have? Fooling the poor to have 6 or 7 children whom they can't feed, house or clothe properly. Useless man against progress.
They don't see our children as humans deserving of a decent life, just votes from their community they can use to cling on to power.

Omg I didn’t realize matters politics were this complex. Kenya shall remain a poor country for a very long time. This should be a political crime, punishable by lengthy prison sentences. Receiving money to buy chang’aa & extend 5 more years of misery is unacceptable.

First, I'm mad at myself for being in the dark since i don't know when but still intrigued at the amount of planning and strategizing that goes into politics.
