Sam Of Somalia Masha Allah Tabarak Allah. I will definitely check it out as I am learning Arabic. What resources would u recommend that would focus on speaking? I can read and mostly understand written Arabic from listening to tafseer of Quran and xadith.

Speaking is a real challenge for any student living outside of the Arab world I think and it is perhaps the hardest part for most of my students. But my best answer is this: For learning dialects, the people are the best resources, books and CDs can work if you use them consistently and are very invested in immersing yourself. I have heard the "coloqual" series are good but have never used them myself. But if you want to speak MSA as I always encourage students to do, I think you and your mirror are the best resource. I taklk to myself in Arabic in the mirror all the time... and I look mental doing it... But it makes me so confident when reeling off sentences. So just get into the habbit of making the effort to say all of your Arabic reading out loud, think about how you would use it in a real life conversation and practise it.

PoeticEntity 786 Less than 5% of my viewers watch from Somalia. many are Somalis in the diaspora community who may not learn their own language so they enjoy my videos. Or they may know it really well and just enjoy watching me learn. Many non Somalis want to learn Somali, otherwise, why would some of the worlds most prestigious universities like SOAS snd Harvord offer it on their programs? Either way, I have never created videos to please viewers, I do what I love and care about and if people want to watch, that is awesome, if not then they can enjoy the many adorable cat videos out there instead.
