how I would "fix" that legend:
"If a spell is countered in this way, the target player exiles X cards from their graveyard, and all other players mill X" This would yield a cool back and forth dynamic.
“I think we are just going to make enough plants that we might win naturally”
I can't believe that Roots deck doesn't run Undead Butler. It's the absolute MVP in my build.
I hadn't even heard of Butler until I stumbled upon it while looking for creatures to try in a Roots deck. He fits the deck so perfectly!
Mad Max: Fury Road is the 4th movie released in that 'series', and it's amazing.
2:56:05 you could have float the 17 mana and after the sunfall loop 2 skyturtles to make 8 plants, do it again next turno to grow does plants, use last turtle to grab boseiju, blow up the lifelink thingy and attack for lethal
Love this deck!
Seth said that feed the swarm is arguably better than white or green enchantment removal. I disagree. Personally, I think get lost is better. Instant speed, hits planeswalkers, and the downside is far more manageable.
So for that persons created commander, keep the flash, and a 2 part effect 1, Whenever a player casts there 1st spell each turn they mill cards equal to that spells mana value, so it dosnt stop players from playing cards and works with the theme , effect 2 Whenever a player casts there second spell each turn counter that spell if it’s mana value is equal to or less than the number of cards in that player’s library, and this I feel would be less frustrating cause then you need to meter out what spells and when, and you are keeping the drown in the loch flavor that you were looking to make for this commander.
Side note I don’t know the mana value of the commander but I would say 6 minimum maybe 7 cause these effects are powerful and at least 2 blue pips, my recommendation would be 2-3 colorless 3 blue 1 black, but I am a special person and like strange color splits especially for commander
Slime will be good with arcane bombardment
I've been testing this deck as Abzan instead of ~4 color, with the different infinite combo of Roots + Agatha's Soul Cauldron exiling Melira + Bartolome del Presidio or a creature with a counter on it with Cauldron exiling Bartolome + any non-token creature. The Plant tokens from Insidious Roots incidentally have +1/+1 counters on them, so you can exile them to put an instance of the Melira recursion ability on a non-token, then sacrifice and return the creature to play to make another Roots token to repeat. Any other plants you have and your Bart/creature serving as Bart with it exiled by Cauldron grow arbitrarily large. The deck was fine enough but I don't like playing it on Arena due to how much clicking the combo requires.
In my experience, slime is good if you can stick an arcane bombardment
So how much for the Cyclonic Rift signed by CC? lol
Are you one of the kids from the 3 ninjas movies grown up?
Frost!
Give me a Star Wars UB and I won’t complain anymore. 😂
Or play Star Wars Unlimited?
@@scottcampbell9515 cards look awful. 🤢
@@level2noob317yeah but when playing that game you know the only IP you’ll see is Star Wars.
@@scottcampbell9515 Maybe a Zelda set too.
@@level2noob317 If it is self contained and not forced into any competitive format? Fine. Outside of that? No.
If there is a final fantasy set i want an anime style card of Fran from ff12
22:03 what in the literal f*#%.
"We can never go back to 2015 modern." Sort of but not really. Yes it would require an extensive amount of bans maybe 2-3 dozen cards but that's not impossible. It's more accurate to say we won't go back to 2015 style modern because selling busted cards that force rotation in modern is profitable. Like how much more needs to go for magic to look like normal magic again? Companions, Evoke Elementals, Murktide, Crashing footfalls, Living End, One Ring, Yawgmoth, Channel Lands, Ragavan, Urza's Saga, Bowmaster, Force of Negation, Force of Vigor. That pretty much would kill every current T1 deck but Primetime I think and throw the format back a lot closer to old magic.
Man I really hope universes beyond doesn't come to Standard... I like UB for Commander, but I've really wanted Standard and Pioneer stay in Universe cause I really like the magic universe and story (despite the many hiccups and flops with the story).
I'm never one to hope that a product fails, but I sincerely hope that Final Fantasy and Marvel flop hard so that Hasbro gets the idea that maybe this was just a LotR thing.
The keyword in that UB article about 2025 is "Premier".
They have not called a Standard set release "Standard" in about a decade. UB is going to hit Standard. This way they get revenue from paper and Arena.
Except its not because we already know all the 2025 Standard sets haha!
@@colinbrown74 they did not announce Final Fantasy or Marvel at GenCon last year. They can clearly market these towards Standard. Even if they somehow are not Standard legal (and why would they leave that money on the table) it does stain Magic. How can Modern be a rotating format when it rotates with every new set printed? If I wanted to play Marvel I would buy the Marvel RPG book, and run a game.
Spends 5 minutes analyzing the missteps of MTG Aftermath.
…Plays Aftermath Analyst.
I hate playing in the play queue cause there is always some idiot sociopathic try hards who are intent on stomping on the play queue with tier one decks. I mean why? What's the whole point unless it is to ruin someone elses day hence sociopath.
Seth complains about wraths invalidating fun decks while repeatedly losing to hyper aggressive boros decks. The control deck games were much closer and more interesting.
While describing the UB and aftermath boosters you were way too excited. like to the point of eye rolling from the outside looking in perspective. You didn’t on e pay attention what your chat was saying. No one wants these products Seth. I feel like you guys are paid from third party employers to try and hype these almost certain to be doomed products anymore. Like you know for a fact that if even the last aftermath boosters retailed at half price no one would still like them because the cards are garbage in them. Pay attention to you let fans a little more instead of being over hyped for a product that you know is going to do poorly. Seriously. It looks bad on you guys and just makes you all look like pawns in this corporate game.
I dont get it. Are you saying that trash cards are an intrinsic trait of an aftermath set? Why would that be? Couldn't they just crank up the power level if that was the issue?
content creators being trapped in a endless loop of self delusion...
Starwars 4 was fine, it was the first one. Unless you mean starwars 1, which was the 4th one which is okay.. could be worse, just like at 2 and 3.
Also, boondock saints sucks.
