That or the colours are complimentary, orange and blue and opposite each other on the color wheel but then again that could have been the reasoning for making them besties, they compliment each other, they go together because they make each other stand out just like the colours
a lot of winx outfits have complimentary opposing on the colour wheel colours, so i think it's a big part as to why they decided to go with the blue as the main colour for Bloom
I think bloom is mostly blue because in Bunsen burners for example the hotter flame is blue/white instead of the more often seen red and orange. This is a great interpretation too though

Winx Saga was basically an entirely different show miss labelled as Winx. This was much better! Someone needs to hire you.
Fun Fact: The original Winx Club (Season 1-4) had actual designers and fashion houses for the everyday as well as transformation outfits, one of them being Versace. That is the reason why the Magic Winx outfits give off a similar vibe🙌✨ Also, this is perfect. You thought of pretty much everything 👏 And I love that finally someone included Enchantix since it’s a fan favorite and such an important point in the show!

As for Bloom's enchantix, I always thought that the pale pink clashed with her hair colour so I would maybe swap the pink for yellow or maybe a dark blue. I think that this top at 34:24 could be cool for dark Bloom in season two, rather than just having her original outfit but in black.
I do too! I think silver would be really interesting too for the moon part, but that would depend on the pieces, bc silver can be hard to work with if the pieces are unconventional(in terms of it not looking tacky)
For the gloves and in general. There are a lot of fabrics used for figure skating outfits that would work here. There is some type of stretch mesh with glitter on it in different colours. They are not even that expensive. I think if they would focus on getting mainly the outfits right in a reboot they would make a lot of us very happy with not a whole lot of effort…
Yeah tecna’s helmet is iconic, but also some things are just meant for certain types of media. It’d be hard to exactly recreate the helmet without looking costumey. I’m obsessed with the idea of some other type of headgear for her. Edit: I got tecna on the quiz hehe

As a animation student whose worked in film I think most ppl aren't aware how far CGI software has come, there are so many easy cheap ways to do the transformations that look good but still fit a more mature theme. Just look at marvel costume transformations they look nice happen in real time and yes they take a lot of work but not as much as producers want people to think. At this point it's a cope out so money hungry wankers can put as little effort and money into a production as possible. Sadly the winx remake was a petty cash grab it really could of been amazing if the producers actually cared about it :(
thats the thing! so many people disagree with me bc they believe that it would be too difficult to have them have wings/etc, when in reality it is all possible, especially if it would be approached in a creative way that aids animation process. I think it's important to push boundaries and create shows that are unique and beautiful rather than keep on doing generic CGI that would fit the "dark" theme. ugh😭😭
I've honestly NEVER seen a better irl styling for the winx and I'm pretty sure I've watched all of them! This is just so perfect and beautiful and everything I would have wished for!
I think a common mistake on those videos is trying to give them all the same style, even when people think of different "aesthetics'" they always go for the same types of clothes, just with different collors. that takes away the personallite of the characters
and i think aisha hair being long and wavy would be fantastic! also, adding some pearl, crystal embllishments on her dress would be soooo cute. btw, i also thought that having all the winx girls having some sort of rap around jewlery around their arms, but in metals that resemble or emulate their powers would be sooo epic

I just noticed that Tecna's enchantix has shorts rather than a skirt. Which would make sense with her personality and tie in to her original outfit since she's the only one that didn't really wear skirts and such. In terms of Musa's headphones I would go with those custome gamer headphones. Especially if you look at those ones with like cat ears on them, if you removed the ear parts they'd looks really good in terms of the style for her if done in red.
Omg I don´t even want to imagine how much time the preparations for this vid must have taken! The outfits are absolutely GORGEOUS and finally! someone gave Tecna the attention she deserves, her Magic Winx look is so iconic!
Hot take: I think integrating some of season 8's re-design for Tecna's Enchantix would actually make sense. In her season 8 outfit, it looks like a futuristic and cut wetsuit almost. This can be mimicked in real life for a breathable and comfortable outfit, but then also exemplifying her technological powers. Some flowing fabric as shown in the video could substitute for the crystals on her outfit though, which also keeps in line with Enchantix's ethereal feel. So in my opinion, I feel like a a cut and fitted wetsuit with added fabric to it would fit Tecna best; it represents her power by seeming futuristic, but also has components that still match the overall Enchantix vibe. Simply putting a lilac dress on a hypothetical actor would be gorgeous, but it might be hard to actually distinguish her as a fairy of technology. Your conception of Magic Winx has the component of scientific glasses and a bodysuit already, and I feel like the technological aspects of those ideas can be maintained for Tecna without being too unrealistic to create, too uncomfortable, or too deviant from Enchantix's design supposing this was for a real-life iteration. Also, I heavily agree with your sentiment of being amazed by Flora's Enchantix despite her not being my favorite character. She's like in the middle for both personality and design personally, but her Enchantix just hits differently. I feel like this is due to her nature powers reflecting the standard depiction of what a fairy is.
Yeah I think that for those flowy pieces it can be done with fabrics that can hold a fold even though they’re quite thin. Yeah I think it’s also due to the fact that her wings and hair were also the biggest/longest and that has a lot of impact on a young mind ahaha

i missed the way they dressed stella in the later seasons. her whole "sun & moon" thing was lost. i always thought the blue accents were her moon side even tho we never saw that on the show. it got lost when they started to make her outfits pink/purple. but i loved every second of this video. netflix should really consider hiring u 😭🤌🏽

Two ways to go for the transformation sequences : 1. Make them short with something covering the girls entirely like the ones in the season 2 of lolirock. Bloom : fire converge toward her and we can see a black silhouette Stella : the beginning of her Enchantix but for her entire body. Flora : just Lyna's transformation from Lolirock. Tecna : her Believix transformation. Musa : I don't really know. Maybe like the first part of her Believix. Aisha : bubbles covers her entirely 2. Completely commit and spend half the budget on them 🤪. Think that people will compare those to the ones in the cartoon and try to make it faithful by making the girls use their powers and have their signature moves (not all but some of them). Each girl signature move/element : Bloom : Eye focus, fire hearts and circles, the great Dragon. 👁💗🐉🔥 Stella : Hair flip, wink, interacting with the magic (as if it was fabric), showing her bo... forget about that one. 💇🏼♀😘🧵💫 Flora : hair covers screen (hard to make) & flowers. 💇🏽♀🌺💐 Tecna : Combat moves, power stance, electricity, numbers & letters, HUD interface circuit. 🥋⚡ Musa : Dancing, music bars or instrument strings. 💃🏻 Aisha : Spinning & bubbles. 🌀💧 (Those emojis took me ages to find) Thanks to WCD Channel for each girl signature move/element in transformation. Check his channel if you like Winx (99% chances you do if you watched this video) he got really good Winx content on it.
I actually love to analize Winx's designs and I'm writing an essay about their magic winx outfits while listening to this vid and yeah, Tecna is kind of nlog (no shade, I love her), but she's still connected to the group through the details.
Like, even in the enchantix, she is the only one wearing shorts instead of skirt, and the outer layer is geometric, not necessarily looking like flower petals, while the rest definitely has flowy frills here and there.

For Musa’s headphones, I’ve envisioned her headphones in a sort of kawaii/pop-y style that’s vaguely on the abstract artwork spectrum, vaguely anime-esque, where there are little embossing/engravings in the headphones in a shape of a treble clef, etc with accents in neon, vaguely psychedelic. Maybe a few “pointy” parts (like a microphone, little “elf ear” parts on the speakers of the headphones) to give a nod to her silhouette, though being careful not to go too far into Tecna’s vibe. But you think of what you want.

Yeah I just think it’s important to try new things in media, and styling it like the vampire diaries would just be boring as hell… also, if they didn’t wanna do transformations, they could’ve at least styled their regular clothes better, I made a whole video on that too, bc it’s so easy to style winx in a cool way!
This was super interesting to watch. The love of fashion and the Winx girls really came through and I wish we saw a scrap of that in the live action. The outfits are so well thought of and the wings we so beautiful. I also learnt a thing or two about fashion.

I really like that you give different options for everything because like you said these are ideas and it's more of a matter of visualizing what things could work together, how the different textures and shapes and shades would interact together in a whole outifit, than presenting a final result (that can only be achieved through actually making/putting together the costume irl), so it's always so nice seeing the way you find all these examples and how, through them, you manage to bring your vision to life and explain it so well. I love that you focused so much in fabrics and draping because I think both would be crucial when it comes to giving the outfits that magical aesthetic and ethereal feeling, have them look like more than just clothes and more like a physical manifestation of magic. Also about the transformations sequences being a different dimension, I always saw it like that as well, like these alternate or parallel pockets of space-time where it happened, while irl it was just the blink of an eye; an inherently magical space (is it a actual specific place that exists and all fairies access when they transform or is it more like a mini pocket world fairies subconsciously create every time they transform, like a temporary fissure in the fabric of space-time that their magic makes for them in those moments, idk but both are options). The thing about transformations is that they aren't just cool and fun too see but also a tangible manifestation of magical power, so even in a live action adaptation I don't think they would look out of place if the worldbuilding is done right. Yeah I feel like you have to actually dress someone up in the clothes that you pick, or at least have the right size of a mannequin for you to really know if something works, not just bc of sizing but bc of fabrics not matching. Like thick tights with a skirt that’s too thin, where it would look clunky, but you need to see those clothes irl to know 100%!

They always felt like a separate moment almost, like I never thought all the magical girls in all series I watched were getting (literally) magically undressed and re-dressed, background music and everything, in front of the villains. That's not how I thought suspension of disbelief worked in this case, to me it was more about giving the viewers an insight into the process they went through when their magic unleashed, so to speak, instead of something that happened in real time

Besides adding a bit of spice to the plot, it solves some issues 2. 12:48 the shape and colours are on point, but I'm on the fence about the fabric.. It just seems a bit heavier than I would've pictured it for a fairy show 3. The clear heels of the boots you've picked for Stella would be a great solution for the "barefoot" effect of Enchantix 4. I forgot Bloom existed???????? disappointed in myself 5. Actually do talk about Tecna more actually she was always my favorite and always seemed to get overlooked. The helmet is iconic but probably wouldn't translate the same way. It might be cool to keep the vibes a bit by giving her headphones and a more proportional single-stone tiara or headband of some kind? Love the idea of the goggles, honestly. Plus, she seems like she'd be into programming the LED choker to have dynamic responses of some kind (on a timer, maybe). While unrealistic to implement, it has me thinking it'd be super cute if she magic-programmed it to function like a mood ring

You remind me so much of Stella 🌟 and I agree. These outfits are so amazing and thought out! I also 100% agree, even as a young adult I rewatched the winx series and loved it, but I have not been able to watch past season 4 😅. I think Netflix thought the audience who watched it would now only want it in an edgy, riverdale way….. but thats not it at all. I would 100% watch a remake thats happy, and fun like the show. Thats what made me love it, it was so fantastical and the girls friendship was my favorite. Stella is not some shallow popular girl, she was Blooms best friend and a great person. Could she be self absorbed at times? Yeah, but still an amazing friend and person….. I digress but these are amazing outfits and wish something like these were showcased in the show. Fans could do it better lol.

For the gloves and in general. There are a lot of fabrics used for figure skating outfits that would work here. There is some type of stretch mesh with glitter on it in different colours. They are not even that expensive. I think if they would focus on getting mainly the outfits right in a reboot they would make a lot of us very happy with not a whole lot of effort…

Yeah tecna’s helmet is iconic, but also some things are just meant for certain types of media. It’d be hard to exactly recreate the helmet without looking costumey. I’m obsessed with the idea of some other type of headgear for her.

As a animation student whose worked in film I think most ppl aren't aware how far CGI software has come, there are so many easy cheap ways to do the transformations that look good but still fit a more mature theme. Just look at marvel costume transformations they look nice happen in real time and yes they take a lot of work but not as much as producers want people to think. At this point it's a cope out so money hungry wankers can put as little effort and money into a production as possible. Sadly the winx remake was a petty cash grab it really could of been amazing if the producers actually cared about it :(
thats the thing! so many people disagree with me bc they believe that it would be too difficult to have them have wings/etc, when in reality it is all possible, especially if it would be approached in a creative way that aids animation process. I think it's important to push boundaries and create shows that are unique and beautiful rather than keep on doing generic CGI that would fit the "dark" theme. ugh😭😭

I just noticed that Tecna's enchantix has shorts rather than a skirt. Which would make sense with her personality and tie in to her original outfit since she's the only one that didn't really wear skirts and such.
In terms of Musa's headphones I would go with those custome gamer headphones. Especially if you look at those ones with like cat ears on them, if you removed the ear parts they'd looks really good in terms of the style for her if done in red.

Hot take: I think integrating some of season 8's re-design for Tecna's Enchantix would actually make sense. In her season 8 outfit, it looks like a futuristic and cut wetsuit almost. This can be mimicked in real life for a breathable and comfortable outfit, but then also exemplifying her technological powers. Some flowing fabric as shown in the video could substitute for the crystals on her outfit though, which also keeps in line with Enchantix's ethereal feel. So in my opinion, I feel like a a cut and fitted wetsuit with added fabric to it would fit Tecna best; it represents her power by seeming futuristic, but also has components that still match the overall Enchantix vibe. Simply putting a lilac dress on a hypothetical actor would be gorgeous, but it might be hard to actually distinguish her as a fairy of technology. Your conception of Magic Winx has the component of scientific glasses and a bodysuit already, and I feel like the technological aspects of those ideas can be maintained for Tecna without being too unrealistic to create, too uncomfortable, or too deviant from Enchantix's design supposing this was for a real-life iteration.
Also, I heavily agree with your sentiment of being amazed by Flora's Enchantix despite her not being my favorite character. She's like in the middle for both personality and design personally, but her Enchantix just hits differently. I feel like this is due to her nature powers reflecting the standard depiction of what a fairy is.
Yeah I think that for those flowy pieces it can be done with fabrics that can hold a fold even though they’re quite thin.

i missed the way they dressed stella in the later seasons. her whole "sun & moon" thing was lost. i always thought the blue accents were her moon side even tho we never saw that on the show. it got lost when they started to make her outfits pink/purple. but i loved every second of this video. netflix should really consider hiring u 😭🤌🏽

1. Make them short with something covering the girls entirely like the ones in the season 2 of lolirock.
Bloom : fire converge toward her and we can see a black silhouette
Stella : the beginning of her Enchantix but for her entire body.
Flora : just Lyna's transformation from Lolirock.
Tecna : her Believix transformation.
Musa : I don't really know. Maybe like the first part of her Believix.
Aisha : bubbles covers her entirely
2. Completely commit and spend half the budget on them 🤪. Think that people will compare those to the ones in the cartoon and try to make it faithful by making the girls use their powers and have their signature moves (not all but some of them).
Each girl signature move/element :
Bloom : Eye focus, fire hearts and circles, the great Dragon. 👁💗🐉🔥

I actually love to analize Winx's designs and I'm writing an essay about their magic winx outfits while listening to this vid and yeah, Tecna is kind of nlog (no shade, I love her), but she's still connected to the group through the details.
Like, even in the enchantix, she is the only one wearing shorts instead of skirt, and the outer layer is geometric, not necessarily looking like flower petals, while the rest definitely has flowy frills here and there.
Musa is also wearing shorts!

For Musa’s headphones, I’ve envisioned her headphones in a sort of kawaii/pop-y style that’s vaguely on the abstract artwork spectrum, vaguely anime-esque, where there are little embossing/engravings in the headphones in a shape of a treble clef, etc with accents in neon, vaguely psychedelic. Maybe a few “pointy” parts (like a microphone, little “elf ear” parts on the speakers of the headphones) to give a nod to her silhouette, though being careful not to go too far into Tecna’s vibe. But you think of what you want.

I really like that you give different options for everything because like you said these are ideas and it's more of a matter of visualizing what things could work together, how the different textures and shapes and shades would interact together in a whole outifit, than presenting a final result (that can only be achieved through actually making/putting together the costume irl), so it's always so nice seeing the way you find all these examples and how, through them, you manage to bring your vision to life and explain it so well. I love that you focused so much in fabrics and draping because I think both would be crucial when it comes to giving the outfits that magical aesthetic and ethereal feeling, have them look like more than just clothes and more like a physical manifestation of magic.
Also about the transformations sequences being a different dimension, I always saw it like that as well, like these alternate or parallel pockets of space-time where it happened, while irl it was just the blink of an eye; an inherently magical space (is it a actual specific place that exists and all fairies access when they transform or is it more like a mini pocket world fairies subconsciously create every time they transform, like a temporary fissure in the fabric of space-time that their magic makes for them in those moments, idk but both are options). The thing about transformations is that they aren't just cool and fun too see but also a tangible manifestation of magical power, so even in a live action adaptation I don't think they would look out of place if the worldbuilding is done right.

Yeah I feel like you have to actually dress someone up in the clothes that you pick, or at least have the right size of a mannequin for you to really know if something works, not just bc of sizing but bc of fabrics not matching. Like thick tights with a skirt that’s too thin, where it would look clunky, but you need to see those clothes irl to know 100%!
Yes, I definitely agree! I was always so confused when people would use transformation sequences as a gotcha moment as to why they shouldn’t be a thing, because I always thought that no one can see them (especially non-fairies)!

They always felt like a separate moment almost, like I never thought all the magical girls in all series I watched were getting (literally) magically undressed and re-dressed, background music and everything, in front of the villains. That's not how I thought suspension of disbelief worked in this case, to me it was more about giving the viewers an insight into the process they went through when their magic unleashed, so to speak, instead of something that happened in real time

Actually do talk about Tecna more actually she was always my favorite and always seemed to get overlooked. The helmet is iconic but probably wouldn't translate the same way. It might be cool to keep the vibes a bit by giving her headphones and a more proportional single-stone tiara or headband of some kind? Love the idea of the goggles, honestly. Plus, she seems like she'd be into programming the LED choker to have dynamic responses of some kind (on a timer, maybe). While unrealistic to implement, it has me thinking it'd be super cute if she magic-programmed it to function like a mood ring

You remind me so much of Stella 🌟 and I agree. These outfits are so amazing and thought out! I also 100% agree, even as a young adult I rewatched the winx series and loved it, but I have not been able to watch past season 4 😅. I think Netflix thought the audience who watched it would now only want it in an edgy, riverdale way….. but thats not it at all. I would 100% watch a remake thats happy, and fun like the show. Thats what made me love it, it was so fantastical and the girls friendship was my favorite. Stella is not some shallow popular girl, she was Blooms best friend and a great person. Could she be self absorbed at times? Yeah, but still an amazing friend and person….. I digress but these are amazing outfits and wish something like these were showcased in the show. Fans could do it better lol.
Yeah they could’ve even made it a lot more serious but kept the aesthetic and the great friendship between the girls and it would’ve been fantastic

But instead of a magical world, I felt like I was in a UK boarding school, which isnt inherently bad, but for the Winx…. Ehh
and i feel like if the stylist of the winx saga were struggling, they should have just used the blumarine collentions, they were MADE for winx (even the subtle butterfly details were just GOLD).
