And yeah appreciate the details this time. In fact I was almost about to rage that last time you put J pop and K pop together and I was like "OK LISTEN HERE---"
This guy seriously has such an amazing level of dedication. A video like this would probably take loads of time to research and compile videos for. Thank you for this video, just finished watching the other one and it was an interesting experience for sure!
Also, bro, don't be so harsh on yourself, people can go f themselves sometimes too, you ain't gonna please everyone and there is always someone who is going to complain about something, ur doing an amazing job.
You know what makes me both happy and sad about this video. It's the fact that if you do complete this in its entirety from a to z if someone like VH1 or MTV were to have done this and do it exactly the way you're doing it now they would literally be hailed as heroes a world championship trying to bring everyone together with music showing everyone how many genres they're truly are and how many styles of music they're truly are and then at the end challenging the audience to make some new ones. But you have less than all I'm saying is you deserve so many more subscribers I really hope this video brings it to you because this is fantastic.
These videos are a good way to find new music you like, just like a little taste test. I’ve been making a playlist of all the ones that sound neat so I can listen to the rest of it later
As someone who knows almost every genre and did the research for this insane video, what current genre do you think will influence future mainstream music the most?
I'd guess future pop music will be influenced by hyperpop and 00s pop punk/skate punk. I also think the current trend of 70s/80s ish song will also be there and won't go away from the mainstream, the style might change a bit but you will still have that kind of music in the mainstream
I am interested in all kinds of different music, part one is a great video and now that part two is complete, truly great content. I'm really glad that I found this channel a while back, because the content here is not only entertaining but also educational. 💯 Appreciate all the hard work that goes into these videos 👏 👍😀
Genres I didn't see in this video Deathstep (Dubstep + Metal) Song: Code: Pandorum - Renaissance Briddim (Brostep + Riddim) Artists: ECRAZE - Get Real Bass House Song: Michael White - Angel's Anthem
This stuff is nuts bro, you are doing absolutely fantastic work not only listing literally everything and also giving brief explanation of all of it on top. As someone who listens to almost anything, your videos help me discover new genres to dip my ears into as well as cultures to learn about.
holy shit, very surprised that you actually have something as obscure as ca trù and chèo, even if they were spelled with incorrect diacritics. now i truly believe that you actually are going to list all the genres
You're gonna go far kid by The Offspring is Punk Rock Papercut by Linkin Park technically is Nu Metal, but Alt.Metal isn't too wrong. Where is my mind by The Pixies is Grunge
Im about an hour in and I already love this video and I enjoy it better than the last. Also adding onto the bepop jazz, it is a type of jazz that uses the bebop scale in solo sections instead of the blues scale used in traditional jazz solos
1:04:15 Fuck yeah, i'm not the only one who remembers the band being called the progidy instead of the prodigy. Are sou from the same mandella effect timeline as me perchance?
can't even imagine how much effort it took to make this giant vid, but nonetheless it was definitely worth it! looking up to part 3, where most of my fav genres will be hopefully mentioned 👀, btw part 1 was 3 hours, this one is 4 and 3rd will be like 5? still gonna watch the whole thing but shit man that's lotta time
i listened to the whole first part whilst doing my assignment it was great for my short attention span lol really glad to be able to watch this part and find new music! thanks for the video! 💕💕
great video, but i am upset that this is the second time that drum and bass had been talked about, without showing the ultimate example: Flim - Aphex Twin
Here are some examples you can use for when you get to Metalshade: Ley o'Lantern - Stage Mask: ruclips.net/video/cF0vJHoxSjU/видео.html DJ Czech Slav - Donk Grindset: ruclips.net/video/7pXW5z3kNRk/видео.html Andriuha - Bullet time: ruclips.net/video/eyamA3_PYHI/видео.html The Demyex - Left Alone: ruclips.net/video/B8ROqPrzCEg/видео.html
amazing video although you missed some: -exyu (a genre focusing on yugoslav music mainly rock) -narodnjak (balkan folk music usually 70s-90s -yugoslav war songs (essentially countries making disstracks on eachother in the and during the yugoslav war) -komercijala (songs considered "hits" in early 2010s in the balkans) -gas/gaserska muzika (modern balkan rap/trap) -yugowave (same as sovietwave just the yugoslav arsthetic)
This is way better than the first , these are actually music genres not random noise people put on the internet . I mean actual genres people have heard , apposed to the 90% obscure stuff in part 1 .
In classical music, absolute music is basically just any music that wasn’t inspired by or connected to an existing theme, piece of art, nature or literally anything. So just music for the sake of music
Absolutely fantastic work my friend when you listen to a song on the radio especially if it's not garbage top 40 then you really don't know what genre it's in and you really like it so that's where you come in found out so much new information and songs and music to listen to
please tell me the musical genre where the voice is processed and sounds like "electric", I do not know how else to describe it, it is a little vibrating

didn't include extratone, cybergrind, or gore rap actually crying rn nah, but fr, this must've taken hella long to research, mad props. other cool genres that i like that you may/may not have on your list: supertone, midwest emo, noisetrap
@@vvanquish oh shit, cool. I vaguely remember something about extratone, but not cybergrind. also, no, I don't think he's mentioned gore rap, probably just horrorcore. (If you're wondering the difference, I believe gore rap has different production and waaaay darker lyrics)
0:58 *standing ovation* ..I was lowkey triggered by the last video with some of the examples 🤣 dude great job on all of these videos tho fr, can't imagine how long this took. subbed.
I discovered this video like a week or so ago when I found this on my Chromebook youtube account (I can't comment there for some reason) but I just wanna say, I'm going to be feasting bc this video is 4 and a half hours long
Dude you're insane how could you even do that you've worked so fucking hard on this longass video I appreciate your work.. this is so much helpful and I love it.
4 new genres I recommend Glitchbreak - Modern atmospheric DNB influenced by techno and anime, mass sampling and focused mainly on pads and breakbeats Artists: Sewerslvt, Harmful Logic, optic core, TOKYOPILL, Casper Mcfadden Abstract - hard to explain but most songs are made in the 2000s Artists: Scattertape, Ryoichi Kurosawa, masaya sasaki, e:4c, slipped disk Glitch - similar vibe as Abstract, uses more common music techniques Artists: Ryoji Ikeda, Komet, Ø, Frank Bredtschneider Hauntology - (genre coined by bnnzel) Music with themes of nostalgia, temporal disjunction, retrofuturism, disassociation, surrealism. Artists: Ørdop Wolkenscheidt, Boards of Canada, Doreem
Didnt see this one on either video- so here's my little explanation since i don't believe there's any other one online..?: Dirtgaze ! Dirtgaze is a shoegaze subgenre consisting of noises on the dirtier side of dreamy. More distortion and fuzz essentially. A great example of this genre would be the song "Picture of her" by: Idi Et Amin. Most all of their music is considered to be dirtgaze
If You want some help, I can give you these : -drift phonk -House phonk -Trap phonk -phonk wave -metal phonk There are lots more of these but I don’t remember them xD
I just laughed so hard when the "alternative reggaeton" section came. Seriously, I was expecting some underground artist from Colombia, Argentina or Peru. But that's reggae, or alt reggae but even more related to indie than anything.
2:12:05 I REMEMBER THIS VIDEO WAS IN MY MOM’S PLAYLIST, THAT WAS MY CHILDHOOD! (also most of the playlist is too much shitty episodes of a show called “cuddlies” that broadcasted way back in babytv but stopped like 5 or fewer years ago)

What about punk rock as a whole, don’t mix us with emo, we arnt mcr 💀 good work tho
its insane that ppl complained that he "left out" genres on a premade iceberg that he didnt make
Bruh they do be trolling
Well he put "every" so its his fault
@@mfmm6699 This is literally the name of the iceberg lmao.
@@XPGrindDeathking since when tf was the iceberg named every?
Give proof
no way i just finished watching part 1 like 3 hours ago :D
Welcome :)
I havnet stopped thinking about it LETS FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKIGN GOOOOOOOO
The sequel nobody expected
Insane job bro, thanks for your work!
No doubt, the dedication on here is amazing, truly great content! 💯😀👍👏
Also, bro, don't be so harsh on yourself, people can go f themselves sometimes too, you ain't gonna please everyone and there is always someone who is going to complain about something, ur doing an amazing job.
I appreciate you bro fr🫡
You know what makes me both happy and sad about this video. It's the fact that if you do complete this in its entirety from a to z if someone like VH1 or MTV were to have done this and do it exactly the way you're doing it now they would literally be hailed as heroes a world championship trying to bring everyone together with music showing everyone how many genres they're truly are and how many styles of music they're truly are and then at the end challenging the audience to make some new ones. But you have less than all I'm saying is you deserve so many more subscribers I really hope this video brings it to you because this is fantastic.
now I really really can’t imagine the file size of this video
😂😂😂
no cap u jus made my day better 🤞🏾
Yessirrr 🙏🏾
3:28:32 my favorite genre
These videos are a good way to find new music you like, just like a little taste test. I’ve been making a playlist of all the ones that sound neat so I can listen to the rest of it later
Oh my god ???? The part 2 to one of my favourite ever videos ??!!!! I’m so happy ! Hope my favourite is in this one :3
As someone who knows almost every genre and did the research for this insane video, what current genre do you think will influence future mainstream music the most?
Probably melodic rap, hyperpop, contemporary r&b, post punk, breakbeat, & DNB😌
Salsa y perreo rkt supremo
@@batimix666 ajsjajsjjajs ke capo banko
I'd guess future pop music will be influenced by hyperpop and 00s pop punk/skate punk. I also think the current trend of 70s/80s ish song will also be there and won't go away from the mainstream, the style might change a bit but you will still have that kind of music in the mainstream
@@spaghettios agree those and techno are the future
Holy shit, part 2????
Holy SHIT
This series is keeping my head up fr thank u for all your work
Chicka has certainly proved that one can dance to every genre of music.
Tysm for fixing jungle I am satisfied now
I think that this video should be named "Every music genre explained part 1" and the first one "music genre iceberg" great video btw
I am interested in all kinds of different music, part one is a great video and now that part two is complete, truly great content. I'm really glad that I found this channel a while back, because the content here is not only entertaining but also educational. 💯 Appreciate all the hard work that goes into these videos 👏 👍😀
Genres I didn't see in this video
Deathstep (Dubstep + Metal)
Song: Code: Pandorum - Renaissance
Briddim (Brostep + Riddim)
Artists: ECRAZE - Get Real
Bass House
Song: Michael White - Angel's Anthem
Gotdamn. This is a dedicated content creator. Hats off to you, lj. Oh and nice face reveal, you’re even more divine than I imagined❤️
Thank you Alkmi, much love😁
This stuff is nuts bro, you are doing absolutely fantastic work not only listing literally everything and also giving brief explanation of all of it on top. As someone who listens to almost anything, your videos help me discover new genres to dip my ears into as well as cultures to learn about.
The frequency at which my brain toggled between "This is so blatantly satirical lmao" and "Ooooh what a great genre" throughout the video 💀😂
16:33 1x1 to Papercut Transition is PERFECT 🔥
This is unbelievably well done, out of nowhere too big ups
Props to you for correcting genres from the last one
Argentinian here, loved your selections for Argentine Rock! Keep up the good work.
underrated content creator
Oh boy we're in for a long ride. Great job!
im glad that you put at least one roule and crydamoure release on that french house section, T. Bangalter and G.M de homem-christo go hard dude
One of the best youtubers out here fr
holy shit, very surprised that you actually have something as obscure as ca trù and chèo, even if they were spelled with incorrect diacritics. now i truly believe that you actually are going to list all the genres
You're gonna go far kid by The Offspring is Punk Rock
Papercut by Linkin Park technically is Nu Metal, but Alt.Metal isn't too wrong.
Where is my mind by The Pixies is Grunge
If I remember correctly, nu metal is a style of alternative metal? I don't know myself, but they can get confused.
Where is my mind is not grunge it’s alt rock
Im about an hour in and I already love this video and I enjoy it better than the last. Also adding onto the bepop jazz, it is a type of jazz that uses the bebop scale in solo sections instead of the blues scale used in traditional jazz solos
3:38:37 OMG FOLK PUNK IM SO HAPPY OMG OMG
LETS GOOOO
1:04:15 Fuck yeah, i'm not the only one who remembers the band being called the progidy instead of the prodigy. Are sou from the same mandella effect timeline as me perchance?
Don’t tell anyone 🤫
What genres on here do y’all like the most??
bro, i just finished watching the first one yesterday. this shit a whole nother hour? oh brother
ngl i wasn't expecting commodo here im so happy 😭
I love how you included Christmas music
can't even imagine how much effort it took to make this giant vid, but nonetheless it was definitely worth it! looking up to part 3, where most of my fav genres will be hopefully mentioned 👀, btw part 1 was 3 hours, this one is 4 and 3rd will be like 5? still gonna watch the whole thing but shit man that's lotta time
Been expecting this since I saw your sneaky reply comment teasing it! Glad to see it
know damn well im not watching this whole vid but imma leave a like because of the effort put into it
man you better watch this shit🤨
Preciate you though 😂
So glad this exists because the first part missed out on my favorite genre
Thank you for putting Metallica in metal, I found it insane that you did not put it in the last one
So happy to see your growth, congrats
I think the only things missing are grunge and bedroom pop but I’ll forgive it bc this list is so comprehensive. i’m super impressed
I think those were in part 1 so he didn't include them here
Youll be happy to know he added bedroom pop in episode 5 lol
Someone should totally make a Playlist of all these songs to listen to all the way down the rabbit hole
i listened to the whole first part whilst doing my assignment it was great for my short attention span lol really glad to be able to watch this part and find new music! thanks for the video! 💕💕
IM SO GLAD YOU INCLUDED THE GAZETTE FOR VISUAL KEI T_T
great video, but i am upset that this is the second time that drum and bass had been talked about, without showing the ultimate example: Flim - Aphex Twin
Here are some examples you can use for when you get to Metalshade:
Ley o'Lantern - Stage Mask: ruclips.net/video/cF0vJHoxSjU/видео.html
DJ Czech Slav - Donk Grindset: ruclips.net/video/7pXW5z3kNRk/видео.html
Andriuha - Bullet time: ruclips.net/video/eyamA3_PYHI/видео.html
The Demyex - Left Alone: ruclips.net/video/B8ROqPrzCEg/видео.html
amazing video although you missed some:
-exyu (a genre focusing on yugoslav music mainly rock)
-narodnjak (balkan folk music usually 70s-90s
-yugoslav war songs (essentially countries making disstracks on eachother in the and during the yugoslav war)
-komercijala (songs considered "hits" in early 2010s in the balkans)
-gas/gaserska muzika (modern balkan rap/trap)
-yugowave (same as sovietwave just the yugoslav arsthetic)
hahaha slazem se
Damn bro , i was not expecting this. I am gonna subscribe just for making this video, great stuff 👍
This is way better than the first , these are actually music genres not random noise people put on the internet . I mean actual genres people have heard , apposed to the 90% obscure stuff in part 1 .
im proud to see future garage 🥹❤️🔥
In classical music, absolute music is basically just any music that wasn’t inspired by or connected to an existing theme, piece of art, nature or literally anything. So just music for the sake of music
Goated channel
*casually drops a 4 hour long video*
Underrated RUclips channel
Absolutely fantastic work my friend when you listen to a song on the radio especially if it's not garbage top 40 then you really don't know what genre it's in and you really like it so that's where you come in found out so much new information and songs and music to listen to

@@jesemepardens9151 its fine if u dont want to
didn't include extratone, cybergrind, or gore rap actually crying rn
nah, but fr, this must've taken hella long to research, mad props.
other cool genres that i like that you may/may not have on your list: supertone, midwest emo, noisetrap
have you watched the previous part? there was extratone and cybergrind, maybe even gore rap but I wasn't listening quite well lmao
@@vvanquish oh shit, cool. I vaguely remember something about extratone, but not cybergrind. also, no, I don't think he's mentioned gore rap, probably just horrorcore. (If you're wondering the difference, I believe gore rap has different production and waaaay darker lyrics)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for that transition from Bring me the horizon to linkin park in alternative metal!
hope power metal is in a part 3 if there ever is one
@lj
You forgot liquid drum and bass :(
Either way, great video, I will watch both of them in their entirety
Can't wait to finally hear Slam in pt. 3
0:58 *standing ovation* ..I was lowkey triggered by the last video with some of the examples 🤣 dude great job on all of these videos tho fr, can't imagine how long this took. subbed.
Thank you for the corrections, subbed
your legendary for remaking the last video, fr took the criticism and make it again but better
I know you asked not to ask, but how badly did you lose perception of time? few months? years?
It’s 1978 rn
@@spaghettios You cant be saved
I discovered this video like a week or so ago when I found this on my Chromebook youtube account (I can't comment there for some reason) but I just wanna say, I'm going to be feasting bc this video is 4 and a half hours long
This is definitely going to blow up, great work
Dude you're insane how could you even do that you've worked so fucking hard on this longass video I appreciate your work.. this is so much helpful and I love it.
4 new genres I recommend
Glitchbreak - Modern atmospheric DNB influenced by techno and anime, mass sampling and focused mainly on pads and breakbeats
Artists: Sewerslvt, Harmful Logic, optic core, TOKYOPILL, Casper Mcfadden
Abstract - hard to explain but most songs are made in the 2000s
Artists: Scattertape, Ryoichi Kurosawa, masaya sasaki, e:4c, slipped disk
Glitch - similar vibe as Abstract, uses more common music techniques
Artists: Ryoji Ikeda, Komet, Ø, Frank Bredtschneider
Hauntology - (genre coined by bnnzel) Music with themes of nostalgia, temporal disjunction, retrofuturism, disassociation, surrealism.
Artists: Ørdop Wolkenscheidt, Boards of Canada, Doreem
Couldnt be happier with the selection of tunes for Folk Punk.
Except maybe if AJJ and the Taxpayers were there too
Sat through the whole thing. Worth it
Didnt see this one on either video- so here's my little explanation since i don't believe there's any other one online..?:
Dirtgaze !
Dirtgaze is a shoegaze subgenre consisting of noises on the dirtier side of dreamy. More distortion and fuzz essentially.
A great example of this genre would be the song "Picture of her" by: Idi Et Amin. Most all of their music is considered to be dirtgaze
when Chika dancing appears you know it's some good stuff
PRAISE THE LORD YOU ADDED THE CHANTS
I GOT SO EXCITED WHEN I SAW CORRIDOS AND THEN HE ADDED CHALINO SANCHEZ I GOT SO HAPPY
Honestly respect for putting all the effort.
If You want some help, I can give you these :
-drift phonk
-House phonk
-Trap phonk
-phonk wave
-metal phonk
There are lots more of these but I don’t remember them xD
I just laughed so hard when the "alternative reggaeton" section came. Seriously, I was expecting some underground artist from Colombia, Argentina or Peru. But that's reggae, or alt reggae but even more related to indie than anything.
2:12:05 I REMEMBER THIS VIDEO WAS IN MY MOM’S PLAYLIST, THAT WAS MY CHILDHOOD! (also most of the playlist is too much shitty episodes of a show called “cuddlies” that broadcasted way back in babytv but stopped like 5 or fewer years ago)
