My son is just the way he should be, and it's a natural part of the human condition. (do some research people) Our kids are glorious. :) And I am teaching him to stand his ground.
With this album Colin Melloy has established himself as the poet laureate of the 21st century. This is haunting and beautiful on so many levels.. Bravo.

He is a such great showman and the band sounds incredible live. I saw them in concert a couple of months ago...so good. Jenny was missed on keyboards for sure, but her stand-in, the lovely fiddler Sara Watkins, didnt' miss a beat on stage.

I love the little strange one, Jenny Conlee. Her musical skills, the look on her face and the dedication to the band. Jenny is a sweet one in a rock and roll costume, Bless you jenny, play that concertina.
I had a good times in Portland, during the USN, about 26 years ago during several months at Swan Island. Is this the music scene now? Takes talent like the Decemberists to influence a scene. In good hands.

Kathy Mattea does, too. But neither has failed to make a decent living and some good music. And as far as I can tell, neither has swallowed many bugs or birds in doing so!
I know your comment is old and I agree he looks silly, but from someone that's taking singing lessons, it's a good sign considering it shows he's actually using his voice and not his throat. Helps him be loose while singing
