I'm new to flight sims and I was looking for a review of the Thrustmaster Airbus and this Logitech Yoke System. Hilarious that I found them both on the same channel! Thanks.
I just bought the yoke and throttle quadrant for £68 (delivered) from amazon warehouse in "used - good" condition! Also ordered the extra throttle for £28 (amazon warehouse again) and the switch panel for £40 (amazon warehouse again). So total spent for those is under £140! I can't wait. Hopefully they won't be missing any required parts and don't have any problems. By the way, amazon warehouse currently has 30% discount, which is how I was able to get them so cheap. I've also ordered the Logitech pedals, but wasn't able to get those for a warehouse deal so have had to pay full price of £130. So under £270 for the lot. I think that's a pretty good deal (if everything works).
Yeah that seems like a heck of a good deal! I hope it all works out for you! You'll have to post again after you get it to let us know how it worked out!
@@kiancabarle123 The yoke and throttle were missing the desk clamps, so Amazon actually gave me a further discount and I got them for £53! An absolute bargain for the price. I clamped it down using a pair of G-clamps instead, and it worked great. Having said that though, the logitech yoke and throttle do feel like using a toy. It certainly gave me the taste for home flight swimming though. I have since upgraded to the honeycomb yoke and throttle. It cost me £450 for the pair. It is nowhere near the logitech in terms of value (at the prices I paid), but it is a huge step up in terms of the feeling of quality and realism. At retail prices I would say the honeycomb is better value, as to get the same functionality with the logitech you would have to buy an extra yoke, the switch panel and the multi panel. One you have allnof those it's not such a huge jump in price to go up to the honeycombe, for a much more refined experience.
I'd love to purchase this, but not sure if it will run on my Mac. I got excited when I saw your hook-up, but deflated when you said you wouldn't be using it for the sim. Will it actually run on the Mac?
I got the Yoke / Throttle rig for Christmas and the throttle unit slightly rocks up when pushing the throttle, prop axis, and mixture knobs up from the zero detent position. It's like the plastic mount bolt and desk mount is too flexible / has play. I note the more I try to tighten the mount, the more the mount flex or bend. I can grab the entire and rock it up and down while it's mounted. Perhaps a strip of double-sided tape will hold it down albeit I would prefer not to place the tape on my desk for when I need to remove / setup of the yoke system.
I expect for my final setup to use Honeycomb controls, but as a starter, I'm looking at a used version of this yoke/throttle package. I'm just confused about one aspect. What is the DC input for on the yoke? Are there some computers that don't provide the power needed through the USB or is it just that if you want to use the USB hub built into the yoke that you need to provide external power? Most importantly, is an external AC/DC adaptor needed if all you are powering is the yoke and throttle quadrant? Finally, if you DO need that AC/DC adaptor, are its characteristics universal enough that you can easily get it as a 3rd party item or does it need to specifically be from Logitech? Thanks!
@@TombiggbeeLife I continued to hunt for the answer to this and although I don't remember where I came across it, I do believe I have the answer. It does appear that it is to provide more power than what perhaps might be provided by the computer. That way if some other control device like rudder pedals needs more power than the computer can provide, that external power will take care of it. That being said, one of the answers I read said that they were running 2 or 3 additional devices off of the other USB ports there and they had never experienced a problem. My hunch is that providing external power would only be necessary for that unusual setup where one of the devices were a little more power hungry. As an aside, my interest in this yoke was as a stop-gap measure until I could afford to buy the Honeycomb Aeronautical "Alpha" or "Alpha XPC" Yoke. To give you a sense of the price comparison, the yoke you and I were looking at can be found for anywhere from $70 to $150 used. The Alpha costs $280 new and the Alpha XPC costs $350 new. What I finally realized was that I was being penny wise and pound foolish. What I mean is, if instead of spending all that time that I spent researching cheaper used options I had instead spent working at what makes me an income, I would have paid for 2 or 3 Alphas, rather than just saving a couple hundred dollars. The Alpha smokes any other yoke option at or below its price range. You won't do better until you start getting into the $700+ category. So, while the Alpha isn't the cheapest; it's a slam dunk as far as the best value. By the way, there are 3 differences between the Alpha and the Alpha XPC. 1) $80 2) The XPC is compatible with XBOX, which might matter to some, but is meaningless to me. 3) The resolution on both axis (yaw and pitch) of the XPC is 400 times more accurate, which most certainly does matter if it's not just for gaming, but rather for flight realism. Actually, there is one last small detail. In a normal small aircraft, just as with cars, there is a spring mechanism of the ignition that returns it a bit after the engine starts so that the starter doesn't keep grinding away. There's no such spring mechanism on the regular Alpha version, but the XPC has it. It's a small detail and not worth the extra money, but the higher resolution of the yoke IS worth the difference. As you might suspect, I bought the Alpha XPC. I hope that feedback is helpful!
Just got the trio. Be careful with the transport you choose. DHL sent my order1200 mi away from my address. AMAZON DISPATCHED IT ONTIME but delivery by DHL took 4 days more than originally promised. Mounted them today (11/25). end of day) so still no opinion.
You don't need pedals for MFS2020, but they will make it easier to fly with the yoke and throttle quadrant. You can always assign the rudder pedal controls to keys on your keyboards!
The power brick came with mine so unfortunately you’ll have to contact Logitech or exchange yours for another in hopes that the replacement comes with the brick as it should.
Mine did not come with a power cord either and I don't know that the yoke has a place to plug a power adapter into it, but either way, mine worked just fine out of the box running off the power from the USB cord to my computer! Thanks for the comment and I hope that I could help!

Hey man I’m having an issue with my Rutter pedals. I have the same controls as you. When I’m taxi on the ground I press and hold left Rutter pedal and it moves left then back to center. And it does some weird thing where it adds throttle too. Any ideas?
To me that sounds like there may be a key bind set up to the rudder pedal, but other than that I don’t have any idea what might cause that. I would think that would be software/game based and not hardware based. Is it only happening in one game or multiple?
I am not going to do a setup video for the yoke system. I actually don’t have it any longer as I sold it just because I didn’t use it as much as I would like to. Sorry for the delayed response btw and thanks for commenting!

How many cables the yoke has?
