I switched from a Logitech x56 HOTAS to the Logitech Yoke system for GA aircraft as well. I love the feel of the yoke, but I found that I really missed the sheer number of buttons, hats and dials that I used to have mapped for my cockpit controls. However, You can use multiple buttons pressed to map to a single function in MSFS, so I use the red button on the left yoke as a shift button and have doubled my available inputs. For example, the default aileron trim lever is T1 and T2, but when I hold Button 1 as a shift key, it becomes target altitude up/down.
@@Huddison I really want the Autopilot panel, but I need to introduce new sim gear at a certain pace in order to maintain matrimonial harmony... I am sure many can relate... Also, thanks for the great content.
Another Spot on video and ohhh Logitech sure brings back some good memories had this set up for many years I even needed to grease the inside to stop the grinding noises when pulling and pushing the yoke all part of the experiance. ( perhaps todays version one doesn't have to do that )

Whilst _not_ in the flight sim: in Control Panel - under the Hardware & Sound category/View devices and printers. Can you see your yoke in there; is it showing?
Great video !! Question wrt POV and hat switch, how do I reset view back to a custom view.....for example, my NUM 8 keys is set up so I view just above dashboard, since I use external screens for instruments, I did set up L, R, 45 deg L & R and 120 deg L & R correctly, however when I toggle any of those keys again to return to front cockpit view (NUM 8), the view change to some kind of "default" view, but I'd like to return to my original NUM 8 view....I want to use POV "UP" to return to the NUM 8 camera set up view?
Realizing the rudder pedals are pretty much required to get this to work well. I figure ill just use the twist function on my HOTAS 4 joystick for rudders until I can afford some pedals.
Thanks very much for updating your video on setting up the yoke. I recently got the Logitech yoke and rudder pedals as a gift and your suggestions for setting up the various switches and buttons, as well as the sensitivities has been very helpful. One thing I am struggling with is adjusting to the "stickiness" of the yoke when I am trying to make fine adjustments and flaring upon landing. Can you comment on if this is a common occurrence, is there something that can be done with settings to minimize it, or is it simply a characteristic that I just need to learn to deal with in how I fly with the yoke. I was previously using the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro which I found was very smooth. Thanks.

Hello Huddison. Just a quick question, if you are even reading comments on your older posts. Do you plan to share your settings for this set-up in FS2024, or have you just abandoned the Logitech devices for something else?
@@Huddison Great! I am looking forward to it. I have mine set up pretty well, for now, but as stated before, I always pick up something new from your videos. Thank you!

Thank You for finally convincing me in purchasing just now this Logitech/Saitek Yoke. Your honest review from 2020 gave me the last kick to order. I think, it´s no bad decision for my very first yoke system. Even though I made a little mistake: I could get a single throttle piece cheaply, so bought it. Now, I have two of these 3-purpose leavers, hahaha. I´m hoping, I can find a useful combination for these additional leavers? Maybe landing gear up and down etc.. Any idea or suggestion? I´m thankful for any recommendations! I gave You thumbs up and subscribe, cause really helpful. Best Regards! Steffen
You could set up 4 engine aircraft with both Throttles attached; flaps/mixture might also be an option. I have 2 Throttle quadrants also as i showed in this video: ruclips.net/video/Qv8PCYFA7ig/видео.html
I have the Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant. My throttles (first and second lever) has a big dead zone where it only moves on the sim when I’m moving it within the 25% to about 75% range. The settings show the axis moving all the way from 0 to 100. Is there a way to fix this?

Unfortunately, some yokes may be a little sticky in certain axis (the V1 yoke also had this on some units).
Daily use typically helps ease this.

It adjusts the angle of the prop in certain aircraft - I should cover this in a video.
