Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left January 10, 2016. We started this RUclips channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Hi, from Utah. Hey granddaughter is in India. Watching your vlog helpes me see some of what she is experiencing. The time frame for her visit and your are the same. She wrote me telling of a 12hour train ride that turns in to 20 hr. Now I so understand. Thanks to you. My grand daughter spent a few weeks at a farm working, but now on the road again. I wrote and told her about you and how it help me experience her trip better.

Awesome travel video !! Guys one suggestion from our side . Skip Mumbai and other crowded city in India and head to Himachal Pradesh especially kullu ,shimla & manali . Visit dharamshala & Leh-Ladakh to witness Buddhist temples , beautiful landscape and breathtaking lakes at further North. Then head to Meghalaya & visit Krang suri & Nohkalikai waterfall along with trip to double decker living root bridges . Then plan a trip to Darjeeling or sikkim based on your timeline .
Straight forward head to Goa , Gokarna & Udupi for beaches & Sea food .
Travel to Kerala then go to kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu.
Please avoid big & crowded city like delhi , mumbai , chennai etc.
Visiting himachal pradesh is must as this place has plenty of natural beauty to offer !!

For beaches I recommend Andaman.
Havelock Island, Neil island Ross and Smith, all have beautiful beaches
why should they avoid it. Both cities are the backbone of the country. One should experience everything

When i was waiting in line at the Taj with my indian friends a guy came up to me and said...you don't have to wait in this long line , Come with me, and i was escorted to the front of the line and i entered the Taj thru the door next to the long line entrance door. That was cool but then i had to look for my friends i had come there with. Wow what an experience you guys are having. Loving your video's of India. Great job! 😁💖

I wish more tourists from outside India had common sense like you guys. After 10 AM the Taj Mahal loses its magic because of the thousand people that will keep shoving you and the temperature rises with the air getting more polluted by the second ruining the whole experience.

Being an indian I just loved your india tour series u just explored it in most epic way....keep going
Practiced (as in it was my job) and taught (at a collegiate level) broadcasting and production for many years (teaching basic communication class now) and I have to say that you both have a good grasp of video and photographic composition. Love most everything you do (sorry, not a fan of the graphic overlay on video) and your ability to tell a story is fantastic. I see many opportunities for career paths after you reach 100 countries.
I love it that you do all sorts of travel. Some budget, some not. Some sketchy trains, some nice ships etc. It gives me an idea of what I would like and it is still fun to watch trips that I wouldn't necessarily take.

First time I stumbled on the Budgeteers I binged watch the whole first two series then subscribed and eagerly waited for each additional video. What they do is incredible! I stumbled on Kara and Nate when they were in Luang Prabang and have been watching ever since. What they have in common are their great respect for the people and cultures they encounter! So much love for all you guys! 😍😍 Lina’s comment about the peasants 😂 so on point because the two series (budget wise) are on the opposite ends of the spectrum.
