Thanks for watching - I can't believe this is my first ever metal song tutorial! What other songs/ videos would you like to see me react to or analyse like this? Let me know! If you like this you might like my lead guitar course, which is here www.andyguitar.co.uk/courses/lead-guitar-1
Hi bud , im 59 years old just started gitar ,also my 15 year old dauter ,i have the same gitar as you and she is rocking a fender . You are a great teacher sir ,Keep it up .Thanks
Amazing tutorial. Thanks a lot Andy. Greetings from Greece... Maybe some day you could do some lynyrd skynyrd and creedence Clearwater revival tutorial.
Hey Andy, this is brilliant! There is a huge community that could use your style of simplifying heavy metal :). Also, it was so much fun watching your tutorial!
Fun fact, in a video of them performing live, James plays the opening riff with pinky on E (7th fret A string) and middle finger on the G (5 fret D string), and then uses his ring finger to hit the 6th fret on E string and his index to hit the 5 fret on E string. That way the G on the D string rings out fully. It’s a weird and not common way to play, but I’m not arguing with Metallica over their riffs
I'm an absolute NOOB... I got that first riff down by ear with several hundreds of failures. Some day I need to actually get my notes and chords down pact... I currently SUCK.... lol but always practicing.
Hey Andy Thanks a lot for many cool videos! Your fingering here is not correct on the intropart though. You need to hold the high E on 5th string with your little finger and the G on 4th with your middle finger to keep the notes ringin' through the riff ;o) T

Please some Skillet songs for example surviving the game or hero
How about Judgement Day by Whitesnake? Steve Vai plays the hell out of it and I love it's Zeppelinesque riff.

SERIUSXM has a Metallica madness channel... My neighbors must love it too...
Yes, I’m always blown away thinking about how riffs like this one come to life. Awesome. And yea, James has such an incredible voice!

Hi Andy! That intro is bit trickier than that if you look at Hetfields fingering, but nice video.
Hi Andy for some reason this video is on you tube but is not available on your website. Thanks
