Flor Villa Has your hair grow back? I found out a bald spot of a dime size about three months now and is still the same. I’m starting to worry I don’t know if it will grow back or not. I’ve always have so much hair healthy and thick and suddenly I started to loose hair like crazy.

I'm a guy, and Uh, I just randomly came across this video and I'm still not too sure how I got hear (I was watching videos for a new pair of kicks). But I feel ya, I watched and can't even imagine the fear a female has to go through dealing with this. It might feel like the end of the world, but it's not, stay strong. You're still beautiful inside and out regardless. It's an easy thing to say but it's more true than most know.

Honestly I teared up a little because you are so much in a lot of pain. I could totally understand what it feels like to have something happen to you that you can't control. I started getting grey hair at 13 and I'm 19 now and getting a bunch right at the front of my hair. I've always lived my natural dark hair and I've never even wanted to dye it to a different colour and now it's turning grey:( I love how strong you are, it really is inspiring. Hello, my name is Ana and I'm 22. I know exactly how you're feeling because 5 months ago I found a bald spot in my head and the dermatologist told me it was alopecia areata. Just like you I googled this condition and when I realized how impredictable it was I freaked out and got really depressive. In the first three months of alopecia I stressed and got really worried and the bald spot grew up a lot. Only two months ago, when I felt more relaxed and started to deal with the problem naturally, my hair started to grow again and now my patch is almost totally covered. Try not to stress and take care of your emotions. I'm sure you will be just fine very soon. Also, remenber that you are beautiful and hair loss won't change that.

    • @plug_65
      @plug_65 6 лет назад +3

@@pawelzabicki7785 well, first thing to understand is that Alopecia totalria, total loss of hair is an autoimmune disorder, so the very first thing should be to make the immune system as strong as possible!! Years of consuming toxic foods, use of toxic substances on the body, toxic environmental factors have ruined our bodies, abuse of the worst kind. So very sad!! So what to do? Stop eating every thing available in boxes, cans, packets, which have a dozen or more ingredients, which are all artificial flavours and chemicals one cannot even pronounce!!! NO MORE ICE CREAM, SODDAS, CAKES, DONUTS, PIZZAS, WHITE BREAD, WHITE SUGAR! Stop taking all kind of dairy, animals are given hormones and antibiotics which enter our bodies and destroy the healthy gut bacteria. Go for coconut, almond milk. Only use healthy oils like olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil instead of hydrogenated oils. No meat also. Health starts from the gut! Go totally organic! As much fruits and vegetables as possible, free range chicken and eggs, fresh water fish, NO GRAINS! GO GLUTEN FREE, Insted take wheat buck, millet, qinoua, chia seeds, flaxseed, nuts, liters of spring water, do juicing, make green smoothies from kale, parsley, spinach.
There is a medicine available which is being given to Alopecia patients. It's called TOFACITINIB, this is used for arthritis treatment but people with Alopecia have shown results, 75 % hair growth on the head, face and other body parts. Long term side effects are not known at the moment, except it may cause cancer, not 💯 %. So, in the end I'll just say this : please do your own research, many good naturopath doctors are available with their success full protocols to follow, my son and I have learned so much from them!! Like I said, it is a big challenge and change in one's life, but their is no other way out. Watch videos on you tube by people suffering for this disorder, read blogs, follow their tips and suggestions, there is always hope for the good!! Stay positive. It took a while for my son to understand that physical appearance is not the only thing that matters always, it is who you are as a person with talent and personality, loved by your family and friends. Physiological support is very important in this situation and there is absolutely no shame or harm in seeing a phycologist. There is so much more but I can't write everything here. Hope this will be of any help. Stay blessed.

I thought it was a side effect of finals stress and that it would go away but it did not, and it progressively got SUPER bad. I lost half of the hair on my scalp. I have gotten the shorts only about 3 times because the dates kept getting pushed back. I’ve looked it up too and regretted it because it is very scary. Mines worse than yours. The most spots I had at once was 8. They where all about the size of a dime. Or a little bigger than a quarter. I haven’t seen a video of someone who wasn’t completely bald, or there sports where barley noticeable. And then I found your video. And it made my day. Know that there’s someone out there like me. I’m in high school. And having this condition is the worst. They don’t even know what caused mine. Right now I do have progress and only have 5 spots. And they are definitely getting better. I have an appointment this week. So once again. Thank you for this video. It made me feel so much better. Stay strong 💗

I know your heartbreak. I have lost nearly all of my hair to Alopecia arena. I have also struggled with depression over the whole thing. Knowing it's not life threatening makes me feel bad at how devastated I get feeling. I loved my hair. I was a natural red head and I was very fond of it even though it changed from a almost orange red from my youth to a darker red as I reached my 50's. I have had to buy wigs, hats, scarfs. My head gets cold. I also am trying to find ways to de-stress. Going to counseling. I have regained the hair on my arms and have what appears to be stubble growth on parts of my scalp. I have no answers. Was on creams, I think the doctor got to the point that she no longer knew how to treat me - pretty much just sent me on my way. No solutions. This has been very hard to deal with. I wish I had as much hair as you have currently. I also hope you never know my pain. I have maybe 100 - 200 hairs left on my head, maybe not even that many. Have not really counted. What I have left could fit into the spot that you have lost on your head. Wishing you the best. Hope your condition will not worsen. Its very disheartening to deal with no matter what stage of hair loss one is currently dealing with.

Hi, when you mentioned your hair has been a big part of you... I feel the same thing. I couldn't help but cry thinking about it. I have been a model following high school during my college years and have had long hair and made it into any style, cut, color I wanted and it would look amazing. Just the last few months I have been suffering from alopecia. I don't know where it is coming from and nor do I know how to fix it. I have bought wigs to cover it up but I feel like I am just covering up a part of me that I love so much, which is my hair. I sweat from the wigs, and I can't stand the clips for other hair pieces. I think the stress from it just adds on to the hair loss... I am at a loss and cry everyday. I am a nurse now and I care for people everyday... I am there to be their support, encouragement, and caregiver so the only time I don't let my emotions take over is when I am working. I am a happy, cheerful person that is optimistic at work; but, at home I am depressed. I couldn't imagine what it must feel like to have gone through this at such a young age like you have had to do. I am trying to stay strong and see a dermatologist too, but I almost feel like it'll be too costly and am so scared at the same time. I am constantly busy body and find every excuse there is to get help... No one truly understands how it feels like until they go through it. My thoughts are with you and all who suffer. Thanks for the video! Don't cry!!!!!

I feel much more positive seeing your eyebrow grew back. My eyebrows have always been my thing and it’s been difficult. It’s good to keep it in perspective though! You are right, it’s not painful or contagious.

I'm going through it, too. I've been losing hair all over my head for about 3 years now. I have bald spots in the same area you mentioned. My eyebrows seem to be thinning now as well. I try not to stress & freak out but it's so HARD. My hair was my thing, too. It was so THICK & long. I used to get so many compliments & I considered it one of my best features. I don't talk about it to people outside my family & close friends so I applaud you. I hate when people say "you're hair doesn't make you" or "you're still beautiful." I get they're trying to be nice but it doesn't help me at all. I completely understand what you're going through. You're not alone. I hope we can all figure this out. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I have alopecia areata too. Just discovered it earlier this month. It totally sucks. 😔
I so know how you feel.
Worse part is, there is no cure. Hair can grow back and then poof! ... it can fall out again without warning.
I'm trying to stay positive like you are. Luckily even though my patch is pretty huge, I can still cover it up with the surrounding hair. Worse case, if I develop a patch I can't cover up, I will color it yellow and draw a face on it- like an emoticon. (Maybe people will think I'm simply eccentric).
You're a beautiful young woman. Keep up the positivity. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.

Make a mixture of Aloe Vera gel and Black seed oil on a small bowl and take 1-2 tbsp. of both and well mixed it and apply to your bald spots three times a week and see amazing results in 1 to 3 months.

Hi deborah my boyfriend has the same condition. He got it during middle school, around that time his house caught on fire and a lot was going on with his family so he thinks the stress from that triggered it:/ He remembered taking a shower and seeing chunks of hair fall out as he was washing his hair in 8th grade. He even tried filling out his eyebrows when his condition got more extreme in high school. I was heartbroken bc i cant imagine what he went through. Eventually he was like screw it im gonna shave my head and not worry about it. I met him like that last year and sometimes he jokes but i know he went through a lot. Hes always been the guy everyone loves to be around , his personality is infectious and hes an amazing guy. :) Anyways I just wanted to thank you for being strong enough to make this video, before i met him, I never heard of the condition before . Anyways, I hope others can gain some knowledge and understanding from this video. Thank you gorgeous and have a nice day :)

Hey I have to say you are one of the most bravest people I’ve ever seen because I haven’t seen anyone openly express this problem. I got this problem when I was in year 2 about 7-8 years old. But they didn’t tell me that it was alopecia they told me that it was patches because I mum had it before I was born. The doctors told me that there was no cure for it and that it was very off and on problem. But recently it got worse like SOOO much hair would now fall out like I can’t even brush or comb my hair because of the fear of seeing SOO many hairs. To top it off I also have a hormonal imbalance which also triggers the hair fall and I’m going through my yr 11 and 12 course which is a huge deal since it determines if I go to uni so it adds as added stress and the hair fall just triggers my stress levels so much like it’s too much. I’m super ashamed of this problem just as much because my sister keeps telling me like it’s my diet that’s causing hair loss or that my stress is over the top even my mum doesn’t want me buying preventing hair loss stuff which honestly hurts because I hate looking at those stupid spots and I hate complaining that I have them so yeah I honestly understand what you’re going through and I also hate when people don’t want to be around me because of this disease they think is contagious. So yeah that’s my life but I just want to thank you for opening about your alopecia because for people like me it really does give us hope ❤️

i have alopecia. and that too this is my 15th year with alopecia. Am just 23 now.
So not many here would be that experienced I guess.
Alopecia has enhanced my character to a totally different level. I have got more life experiences in different scenarios than 70 year oldies , I must say. Life has changed. I was not the "I" that was conceived by my mother.
Though many at times I feel stuck in life, the different kind of emotions that I have went through is HUGE.
I thank FATE to show me a different view of the world that 90% people are gonna MISS forever.
Alopecia makes you strong, mature, tough, a helping hand in any crisis, a person with insight, a person each and everyone on this earth can rely on, a person one can keep your secrets with, a person who can listen to anyone patiently with no worry of time running out etc etc etc.
Anyway for all alopecia sufferers - well wishes for your cure. Keep in mind that life has many dimensions not just the glamourous lifestyle we see in televisions or magazines, so just don't limit your opportunities by being depressed or sad. You should be rather happy to have a very unique life that others are gotta MISS in their rat race endeavours.
    THANK YOU

I was just diagnosed with alopecia areata this week. I've got five bald spots all over my head, thankfully for now that I can cover. My dermatologist only gave me injections in the one large spot on the back of my head and I go back next month. February 6th is a long way away.
I've never been this depressed in my life. I feel like my identity is being taken from me, and it's a very powerless feeling.
Mine also is caused by stress but I think I've ever been more stressed out!

I noticed a bald spot around 6 years ago and that was how I found out I have hypothyroidism. I wasn't really worried about it at that time and thankfully my hair grew back pretty quickly after starting my treatment for hypothyroidism & getting some meds for the alopecia. Sadly just yesterday I found another spot. I don't know why but it made me really upset - I guess I didn't think I would get it again after managing my auto immune issue for so many years? I know i'm blabbing but that's what I want to say: thank you for making this video, it made me realise other people around my age suffer from this too!

@@Jjbincz It did! But I was using topical steroids (cream applied on the skin, not injections) prescribed by my doctor so it might have taken less time than normally. I'd say if you use your medication every day it might take around a month for the hair to start growing back. Stress can be a big trigger too, so it's important to keep a positive outlook, since it can help growing out your hair quicker :) Good luck!

You really needn't worry too much because you've got such a beautiful face you could definitely rock it if it came to the worst. And knowing that should take away some of the anxiety (which should help prevent it from getting to that stage in the first place).
FYI - the Alopecia Areata is commonly triggered by stress, as well as physical trauma (injury) and meds like antibiotics. So I do hope that once those factors are out of your system it will get better. Now that it's been triggered there is always the chance of it coming back, but - having said that: My aunt had it 20 years ago, and around the same time they discovered that her thyroid was underperforming. She has since been on meds for her thyroid and hasn't had the AA return. So there IS hope! ;)
I personally have been working on the theory of whether people who rely a little too much on their hair are more likely to get AA. Maybe a nudge by the universe telling you to become comfortable without that safety blanket. I'll be posting a video on that topic soon. ;)
All the best and don't let the AA take over your life!

Try and see if the antibiotics could be the issue. I took my first dose of antibiotics (tetracycline, approx. 2 months) from April '15 - May '15, and my hair started thinning in the back at the bottom (thinning/bald patches, kind of both), then I took my second dosage starting from February '16 - April '16 and I can tell you now, the first few days of taking the antibiotics the second round I developed bald spots EVERYWHERE and got reeeeeaaally bad acne. Now I am doing a candida/parasite cleanse as well as taking potent probiotics as the antibiotics severely disrupt the gut flora, in turn messing up your immune system (ding ding, alopecia = autoIMMUNE disease). My hair is actually starting to grow back everywhere but white, it will eventually turn stronger and more pigmented (my natural hair colour is light brown). Considering though that I've been semi-bald now for around 7 months, it will take longer for regrowth as the follicles have rested longer, I'm assuming. I'm feeling more mental clarity which I noticed got veeeery bad after the antibiotics. Try and see if this works for you. I think I'm on the right track. Wanted to write this as you mentioned you had taken antibiotics. I really hope I could provide a bit of help. :)

I can completely relate to this! I've had alopecia for some years now and i'm 22 as well and for me it's definitely triggered by stress and right now it's been the worst it's ever been cause i feel like at least 1/3 of my hair has fallen and it's really scary to think about that and i generally avoid the internet. I just know that if i start dealing with my stress better, it will be better. I mean apart from treatments and medication because personally i've found that it's mostly psychological for me, at least that's what causes my hair loss. In any case I really hope it's getting better and i'm sure it'll all grow back! :)

I can understand the pain you have gone through. But you are not alone. My 10 years old daughter is starting to loose her eyebrows and some hair on the head. Got to know about this condition from the doctor. He has prescribed some steroids which has improved her condition. I think rather than treating the symptoms we should focus on treating the cause by taking proper diet, like avoiding food that causes leaky gut such as gluten etc,. wondering how effective is homeopathy in treating this condition. I pray God to heal your condition completely and lots of love. Take care.

Your video made me cry. My sister has alopecia totalis. She lost her hair when she was in second grade, grew it back and lost in again going into HS.
Apperantly some eczema drug (another auto-immune disorder like alopecia) during trials has had it's test subjects regrow hair as well. Maybe it's worth looking into, I don't know.

I'm really sorry. Honestly, your hair still looks beautiful and normal people won't notice that about you that much since you have the luck of having thick hair which looks full despite of your condition. And stress is a real thing. I was sleep deprived and stressed for months and I got a few white hairs and lost hair.

As soon as she said she had her breasts augmented, that's the first thing I thought of. I remember hearing about a Hollywood actress who had breast implants, now this is a while back, after she received her breast implants, her hair fell out. You can't expect to insert a foreign object into your body without having side effects. Back in the day, when copper iuds were used as a birth control, my hair thinned. As soon as I took that Contraption out of me, my hair grew back in. But I waited so long. Natural is best!

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm 21 but I got my first bald spot in 7th grade, it was small and easy to cover but my mom kept asking me if I did it to myself or if one of my friends did it and I told her over and over again "NO!"
It grew back so I forgot about it but now at 21 I am working 40 hrs a week at a children's center with infants and going to school full time as well. About two months ago I was getting my hair cut and my stylist asked me how I got my bald spot and I freaked out and said "What bald spot?" she showed me and I panicked because it was just like the one I had in middle school; a quarter round sized spot that was smooth and completely BALD. She told me her sister gets bald spots when she's stressed and it made sense to me because so much was happening in my life. Now that I'm researching ways to treat and manage my Alopecia Areata it's making me feel a little better, though I wish there was a complete cure.

    PLEASE READ!!
this is for anyone who's going through hair loss, but not her exact same cause. Sadly hair loss has a wide range of possible causes.
I had horrible hair loss and it was due to iron and ferritin deficiency, non-heme iron (vegetable source) is around 50% less absorbed than hem iron (animal source), plus the fact that we lose a significant amount of blood during our period. It's important that you could run a few lab tests to find out your iron AND ferritin (stored iron) levels.
In my case, ferritin levels were at 15 and my loss was horrible but after taking iron supplements for 6 months (with vitamin c to enhance it and away from meals) and getting my ferritin level above 30 (this happened around the 2 month mark), I noticed that my loss stopped and lots of baby hairs regrew. Even though ferritin at 15 is normal (most labs' normal ranges start at 11), it changes depending on the person.
Some doctors wouldn't prescribe me iron because my ferritin level was within 'normal ranges' but I supplemented anyway, while testing my levels every month, and I noticed my sweet spot was above 30 (but not above 70). Nonetheless, the upper limit is around 200-300. But PLEASE don't take over the counter iron pills without first checking your actual levels.
Other lab tests that are very importantto run to help with the diagnosis are: zinc, tsh (thyroid), Vitamins A, E, D and Bs, cortisol, insuline, DHT, FSH, LSH, Dhea-S, prolactin, estrogen and testosterone (yes, it can also be tested in women)
After you get your results back and your doctor starts to help you, I recommend taking those hair vitamin pills (that contain mainly biotin, vit b6, zinc, and aminoacids). I know that at first it seems like they don't work at all, but they do help a lot but it takes about 6-9 months of taking that capsule everyday to see results. Even if it doesn't stop your hair loss (because there is other underlying cause) at least, it will make your hair smoother and shinnier.
If you know for sure that the cause of your loss is female pattern baldness (genetic) is hard to reverse it but stuff like nioxin or rogaine can help and make a difference. Taking combined oral contraceptive pills can also be useful in this situation (or have the opposite effect in some scarce cases) so please consult this with your gynecologist.
Other useful tips: wash your hair everyday (I know it's painful to see a bunch of hairs in the bathtub but it helps keep your follicles unclogged), protect your scalp from UV lights (if you don't use sth like nioxin that has uv protection, wear a hat), don't scratch your scalp (this creates tiny crusts on top of your hair follicles and afterwards, a small scar appears and hair can never regrow in that follicle ever again. If it itches way too much, find the underlying cause of the itching with your doctor and meanwhile, try to use a sulphate-free and paraben-free shampoo), don't tie it up too harshly, keep your pillow case clean and hypoallergenic, try to get as many medical opinions as possible; doctors are not always right and 2-4 opinions are way better than 1, and please always go to your appointments having done your own research, a list of questions you want to ask them and a chronology of how/when your hair loss started and circumstantial events in your life like diet changes (my main cause), stressful moments, medication you were/are on (perhaps antidepressants or others), etc. For thickening the lenghts of your hair, I found Loreal's Serioxyl serum treatment to be great.
Alt.option: a lot of people saw great results with castor oil (I've never tried it cause I have allergy prone scalp). Even though this could be useful, first research it and try it on a small portion of your scalp. But please don't try absoultly everything you find for hair loss at once, otherwise you'll never know which thing helps you and which doesn't.
I hope you find these tips useful and always check with your doctor, but also have your own opinion about it, I have been misdiagnosed a millon times.

i’m 19 with alopecia areata and have about 3-4 round size patches and uneven hair growth in the back of my scalp. Being a male and having this is very visible and really affects my mental health. Especially during my shower when I noticed chunks and chunks of hair. This happened to me about 1 and 1/2 months ago, at the minute i’m just consuming biotin tablets daily, using Elocon steroid cream daily and going to start using collagen shampoo. Hopefully there is progress. I hope everyone going through the same thing will get over this. 👍🏽

I’ve only just been diagnosed with Alopecia I still have to go to a blood test to see if it’s anything worse but I started loosing hair in my eyebrows a bit and only recently lost chunks of hair
But it’s weird because it never came out in chunks I just was washing my hair one day and found bald spots.
I only have three bald spots up to now and I have to wear a hair band to cover a patch on my hair line.
    Anyone with Alopecia isn’t alone❤️✨
    Stay strong x

Having it sucks- I lost everything over a period of about 5 yrs. It started about 35 yrs ago. At the time there wasn't much being done to make it stop. I hate wearing wigs. I see women who are bald and they seem to be ok with it but you never know how they are actually feeling. I"m divorced and I wonder how to tell potential boyfriends what I have. One of my sons developed it too. One good thing- I never have to shave. Good luck and hang in there for who ever is coping with it

Hi, I just happen to run into your channel and I want to thank you, you're brave for sharing your story (made me tear up) and staying positive is something up wanna keep doing. I was diagnosed with alopecia areata at the age of 8, my hair ended up growing back. Fast forward to age 27 my hair started falling again and I had forgotten that I was diagnosed with alopecia, so it freaked me out. I went to my dermatologist and again I was diagnosed with alopecia areata and immediately after I was given steroid shots. It has grown back but it has fallen again, I do believe it's stress that causes it, maybe even the things we put in our bodies, nobody really knows 100% for sure what exactly causes it. I've done some research on it and am currently using w loe vera gel, I still don't know if it works, but I will get back on your channel and let you know if it does. Wish you the best of luck.

i’m currently 14 and dealing with this condition due to moving across the country. I was told I needed a better outlet for my stress, and to cope better with my other mental illnesses. My mom has bought medicine and there is progress, but i’m so scared that it will not go away. I am not able to put my hair up in a ponytail like all of my friends, I have really dark hair and lighter skin, so it just does not work. I never realized how good I had it until now.

i have AA, im 16 and im a junior in high school. my mom first noticed my condition the spring of freshman year and didnt think much about it; she just believed it was stressed related and thought it would go away by itself. it had only been one spot for a while and it got bigger at one point. i began taking biotin vitamans and we thought it was working because it looked as if hair was growing back in december of 2016. when i got back from spring break of 2017 i noticed i had gotten 3 more bald spots and told my mom that it was bigger than she had originally thought and she took me to a doctor a year later and i got diagnosed. i know where youre coming from with you feeling embarassed about it because ive felt the same way for 4 months now. now a year and a half later im still hoping it will get better, i have lost about 3/4 of the amount of hair i had before all of this had begun to happen. it has begun to take a toll on me emotionally and psychologically. i try my best to stay home and out of the public as much as possible because i feel as if its the only thing people will notice, even with my hair up. i just wanted to say all of this to let you know youre not alone in all of this because i feel like youre in the place i was in last year and i wish you the best

It was May 2020, when a young woman of about 26 years old approached me for Alopecia Totalis. She graduated in Psychology and Economics and moved to Bangalore, far away from home. The job was intensively demanding and stressful. In 2019, she was diagnosed with Dengue fever, for which she was hospitalized.
Due to numerous injectable medicines being given, she was unable to consume a proper diet. She became extremely weak post the dengue fever, lost an enormous amount of weight and developed a blackish discoloration on the face and hair fall was worrying her immensely.
3 weeks later, a bald spot was observed with painful boundaries and a burning sensation within. She consulted a dermatologist and had been injected again, but the situation worsened progressing with new bald spots and rapid hair fall.
In Dec 2019, she lost hair from her eyebrows as well. Observing this, the rapid cycle of consulting dermatologists, taking different medications continued, until she noticed that the injectable medicines worked temporarily but used to rather worsen the condition periodically. Furthermore, these medications also led her blood pressure to shoot up with numerous side effects.
During May 2020, when she consulted us, I totally focused upon her immunity levels and concentrated upon boosting the immunity foremost. After 3-4 months of continuation, I could really observe a significant regrowth with fresh hair follicles on her hair and eyebrows.
Just two days before, she called me up and with a perfect positive start to the New Year 2021, she told me, “I am doing really well”. These words, induced a sigh of relief along with an extreme sense of gratification just because of the fact that I could bring a smile on this young 26 year old girl’s face.
To the matter of surprise is we don't sometimes realize, that how some injectable medications can prove to be harmful for the patients over a due course of time.

    Thank you

Have you looked into prp (platelet rich plasma) injections? I hear there’s a high rate of success with this procedure. Your own blood is drawn from one of your arms, blood is put into a centrifuge to separate the plasma which is put into a syringe that gets injected into the scalp. It’s a little pricey but very effective.

I started losing hair at 16. I'm 55 now and barely have enough to cover my scalp in a tight ponytail - which is the WORST thing you can do to your scalp, I know, but I have to have it covered. Looking into not torturing myself trying products and supplements and buying a wig.
