hi just wanted to ask for a recommendation from you currently i want to upgrade my 5900x b550 with a 3090ti nvidia graphics card. any recommendations. i am not trying to upgrade my graphics card just wondering what CPU and motherboard would be a good pair for it
Marc, Matisse installed base is moving from 3600 6C/12t to 3700X 8C/16t hexa used. New 3500X 6C/6t is like a 9600 in 2024 why? Albeit 3500X is certainly better than 4500 Renoir DDR3. AT the top of Matisse stack, 39x0_ returning to the secondary market in droves which means R5K most likely on the bargain price before considering AMD5. R5K 5600_ huge overstock good choice. RDNA lll, I will update that data base soon along with Ampere and Arc. Used RDNA ll no problem good price performance. Arc, no, unless you're in the Intel Insider program being moved up FREE from Arc for doing the applications testing and earning BM upgrade to do the same applications test and qual. Intel is always recruiting for those who will do the work and follow the applications test guide and report their result. 7500F running out grab them fast if you want one new. ALL RDNA lll is selling out ahead of the Ada BUT in the flush if sellers missed clearing RDNA lll before Ada clearance flush good price deals on whatever RDNA 3 that remains. 4060 + DLSS sold and was adopted and Phil at Jays 2 Cents was always right about that off the blocks as Tech Tube syndicate attacked Phil and Jay that was terrible and remains so on Tech Tube PKs shooting from the hip. Rx 6800 what I have 300ish is cost grab one I don't care about DLSS or RT. Haha. I paid $789 for my 6800 $360 grab that great price performance. Right 7800XT price will crash and 7700XT is basically sols out as is 7900GRE. Don't know where u'r finding those 7900GREs they r sold out on my data. Oh I get it 7800XT yea. R7 7700 is available but at a quarter of the volume as 7700X in the channel and 7700 always sells first on the discount for the performance for those that know. Right 7900XT is selling out quick if you want one grab it before Ada clearance that is about to happen in the next 3 weeks. Right no issues with the 13600K glad to see u recommending it. 4070S, there are much better deals on the 4070 original overstock and used surplus but 4070S is also in an overstocked condition especially in SI PC prebuilt. 7600X3D, well, there are a bunch of 5800X3D 8 core used because, well, 5800X3D users are bailing on AM4 and moving to AM5 7800X3D or 9800X3D but mostly likely 7800X3D. I get 7600X3D for the low price I have them selling or sold out so why not look for a 7900X3D 12 core used? 9800X3D $479 haha try to find one for $479. I Have 1.5 M GB 202 in the production chain on NVDA q3 10Q but that is a preliminary and I need to ferret out GB 203. Marc, you know there is no such thing as a scalper its called 1st degree consumer price discrimination on risk production volume with greater demand than supply. Marc what do u track? Saw that in your build guide section. I have LSI SLP intake T56 Koni Sport / Eibach solid panhard, tower brace etc watch out for the speed bumps. pot holes and dips in the street. mb

Currently building a PC for my son for the first time. Thank you for producing this video, it's very informative and helped solidify the choices i was making.
So far I have a 7700x, an asus x870 (was 70 off at Newegg so got it for 230 and it came with free 6400 corsair ram), and a 4070 ti super. I have spent 1250. Not super upset at that price for what I have gotten. Will be piecing together through Black Friday/cyber Monday sales to build early December.
@@ScatterVolt Sure, I can answer that. You list many different price tiers. You list resolutions and FPS for the price tiers. You allow me to choose CPU AMD or Intel. GPU AMD or NVIDIA. I payed (11.11) my 7500f : 122,04€ on Aliexespress. Can't wait more for amazon sales who started tomorrow here in France. I used your link, got the exact same as you. Is sealed with no mouvment on the packaging so brand brand new. Just a banger for the price.
Crazy I’m literally building a Ryzen 7600 and Rx6650xt build as we speak! I was going to grab the 7500f but didn’t want to deal with Ali express this go round I stuck with Amazon for everything!
After my research I actually bought the R5 7500F + RTX 4060 as my combo for 1080p gaming and I just saw your video. I'm so happy you recommended this cpu cos I didn't know or hear much about it before purchasing, now I look forward to getting it. I was on a Gold g5400 + GTX 1050ti and I'm glad I'm gonna be finally able to upgrade.
@@ronnykarlsson9470 I mainly bought it along with a 260hz 1080p monitor for competitive FPS games, in particular Valorant. I can gladly say that I got 900+fps and around 400+ during intense moments, I couldn't believe it. I'd definitely recommend this setup, especially for 1080p gaming..
I got the 7800x3d on a flash deal on Amazon for only $220 and got the X670E Tomahawk for $150. I am now waiting for the 7800xt or 7900gre to go on black friday sales, until then I'm rocking my old 3060.
Amazing video as always. Im still not sure what cars to buy for video recording games in 1440p but i think the 7900 gre is sufficient. Keep it up man. You have the most down to earth builds on youtube and the way you are talking is so natural
Glad I returned the i5-14600K and Asus TUF Z790 board I got from prime day. Managed to buy a 9800X3D at msrp but delivery says mid-January. Good timing to see what the buzz will be about for the RTX5000 series.
@A-cap79 I used a b650 as well and I didn't update anything. I just built it and downloaded all the software from MSI and the graphics card drivers and it was ready to go
been awhile since the first ever moment your video pops up in my recommendation it was the $500 build with many battlefield 4 clips for the background XD you were the first person who made me fall into this devilhole of a pc building haha love your videos, keep up the great job
I was able to get the microcenter 9800x3d, msi x670 bundle from microcenter (will upgrade the ram in a year or two) along with a 4070 ti super for black friday sales, all said about $1900 on the build... Expensive, but my view was with the CPU/MB, I'll be able to run at least 5 years without thinking about upgrading.
Just putting this out there - plenty of cards can run games at 4k/60+. Others might require DLSS/FSR quality to hit it, but 4k isn't only reserved for the 4090 or 7900 XTX.
Agreed, but if I were to say that out loud in my videos then I’ll get flamed in the comments section lol. I’m being generous with my 7900XT/4070Ti Super and up 4K only combos. Heck, I hand a guy in the comments section of my last video tell me the 4070 Ti super is a 1440p gaming GPU and to get over it lol.
Nice video straight to the point and many different ways to go around the budget, new to your videos will definitely sub! I have an i7 14700k with 4070 ti super 64GB 5600mhz RAM 4TB nvme z790 mobo. Absolute unit for gaming and work, if you only want to play games %100 go for AMD especially 9800X3D but if you’re like me and using your PC for work and gaming. I have to say intel still wins. Especially high end CPUs like the i9 they have out. Sure they had/have issues but intel do not disappoint when it comes to handling a lot of work on one PC. Especially something like having 3+ Chrome tabs open 😂
I just upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600, and RTX 2060, to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, and RX 6800 for my existing AM4 PC that I built back in 2019. What do yall think of my new combo upgrade?
Just powered on my 9800x3d paired with the Asrock x870 Steel Legend WiFi and the Asus tuf 4070 ti super with updated bios and it’s blazing fast! Just need to figure out the overclocking settings now to give it a boost! I used your tier lists to build this PC so thank you for the awesome content!
Honestly bro...whats the point... for 5 to 10fps if your lucky...ive always had lower end cpus from intel so overclocking was worth it, and lower end gpus again so OCing was worth it for me then. But i just built a 14th gen intel with 32gb 6000mhz DDR5 and a RTX 4070. First brand new rig ever, had dozens of older rigs with lower end tech and the nerw rig Its more than enough, ive undervolted the CPU but in terms of overclocking its like, there is just no point when your already getting 140fps on 1440p at max settings, honestly i got like 10fps max if i was lucky with the cpu at 5.6ghz allcore and 250 on the gpu Core and 1000 on the memory of the 4070. Just isnt worth it at all when you already have insane performance.... So i put it back to stock 5.3ghz allcore and just let the power slider go to 108 on the gpu everything else at zero.... Yes when your struggling for fps with a lower end rig, then oc it allday but with the new new, no point, and believe me, im a tinkerer, nerd, love playing with tech, and figuring things, always in the bios, playing, but yeah, thats what ive found with my first new rig after decades over older rigs. It not worth it at all for 10fps if ya lucky....
It's cool to find confirmation that my PC will be built correctly, I'm picking up the r7 7700x processor tomorrow. And MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G GAMING X SLIM and MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi are already waiting for it😁
Did you have to do a bios update for the mobo or did it work out of the box? I want to get the cpu but I dont know how to do bios update so I wanna know :)
I picked up a 4070ti super a week and a half ago cuz im not getting anything 50 series related, 1440p is the max for me, could never tell a worthy difference between 1440p and 4k. Pc runs like a charm and im gonna swap to Am5 from intel beginning of next year
I just ordered a ryzen 7 7700x and RX 7800 xt. Will this be a good combo together for 1440 gaming? I feel like i got a good deal on them. The 7700x was on sale for $269 and the 7800xt was on sale for $469. This will be my first build and from doing research and watching your tier lists on GPU, CPU, and motherboards I think this will pair up pretty good. And should be good enough for the next few years I would think.
I just bought my dream gaming pc (had it custom built) Western Digital Black SN850X 2TB ssd MSI MPG A1000G PCIE5 1000W Gold power supply Gigabyte GeForce RTX™ 4080 SUPER Windforce 16G (got it for $800 on sale) Team T-Force Delta Black DDR5 6000MHz CL38 6000 MHz 64GB (2X32GB) AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi Nzxt H9 Flow (Black) Kraken 360 RGB Black (Black) $2900 after tax The steam deck brought me into pc gaming and now excited to take it up to the next level.

As I’ve watched your computer builds & recommendations along with others, one common thing leaves me out. Everything is built around gaming. I’m a photographer and need a computer to handle Photoshop & Lightroom mostly very well with speed & accuracy. Processors & graphics cards, memory, motherboards all seem to be focused around gaming. I understand gaming is a big thing for a lot of people, but I’m just not info gaming at all but I am interested in photography. I currently have a desktop computer with an
I just finished mostly assembling my 7900XTX Taichi White/7800X3D build. Unfortunetly I have to wait for a replacement AIO. The one they sent had stripped threads on more than half of the mount holes. Note this is a Lian Li Hydroshift so it's designed to be top mounted so bad mounting was not gonna fly.

My 5600x just got here today and my 6650XT is getting here tomorrow, seeing that combo in this video is so funny and makes me fell good about my choices😂
Just got a Rx 7800xt paired with a Ryzen 5 7600x i upgraded to earlier this this year. It was an amazing upgrade from the 2070 super i had. I would recommend it if you are looking at around the 400-600$ range.
This is a huge help! Personally, I'm looking to pair a 4070ti super with either a 5700x3d or the 5950x if I can find it for cheap on the used market. The 16 cores would be huge for my animation/rendering work and the GPU would last a long time for both gaming/work as well. I'm currently using a 3600x/1070 combo, so it would be a massive step up without having to invest in a new platform at this point.
Great video!!! Definitely needed this!!! Im finally upgrading from the PC my pops bought me 8+ years ago lol Currently, I have the Intel Core i7-7700K and the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti. With the MSI Z270 PC Mate. My RAM IS Intel Xeon E3 - 1200/1500 V5/6th. For my Upgrade I currently have And so far the upgrade I have the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F CPU. And I have the KingSpec M.2 NVMe 1TB SSD. 1440p is ideal.
That's fine, but I would suggest this instead: R5 7600(X) 4070 Super/Ti or RX 7800 XT/RX 7900 GRE In terms of gaming performance, you're basically going to see minimal (if any) difference between the 7600(X) and the 7700(X). Thus, I would save some money by getting the 7600(X) and put it towards a better GPU.

You have discord? Planning to build a pc with same cpu
@@maneuverrz ryzen 7600x on newegg comes with a ssd for free but it ends today its about 200 dollars with the coupon. its a pretty good deal
Please let me know how your new pc performs when you get it.
I was thinking of that gpu for my sons first pc 🤔
@@ronnykarlsson9470 I mainly bought it along with a 260hz 1080p monitor for competitive FPS games, in particular Valorant. I can gladly say that I got 900+fps and around 400+ during intense moments, I couldn't believe it. I'd definitely recommend this setup, especially for 1080p gaming..

What bard do you use i have the b650 tomahawk are they compatiable with each other ?
@A-cap79 That's much better than mine, I use a MSI PRO B650M-E which is more budget friendly, yours should work no question..
I got the 7800x3d on a flash deal on Amazon for only $220 and got the X670E Tomahawk for $150. I am now waiting for the 7800xt or 7900gre to go on black friday sales, until then I'm rocking my old 3060.
WTF 7800x3d 220$
@РоманШмонин-у5в I bought it when it went on a wicked sale on Amazon. I also just bought an RX 7900 XT on Black Friday for 619

Amazing video as always. Im still not sure what cars to buy for video recording games in 1440p but i think the 7900 gre is sufficient. Keep it up man. You have the most down to earth builds on youtube and the way you are talking is so natural
Haha thanks
Glad I returned the i5-14600K and Asus TUF Z790 board I got from prime day. Managed to buy a 9800X3D at msrp but delivery says mid-January. Good timing to see what the buzz will be about for the RTX5000 series.
Worth the wait
Took your advice from a older combo video. Built my daughters pc first, then mine a couple of months later. ryzen 7500f w/ rx 7800xt. Love them.
Do i need to update the biosof my b650 tomahawk in order to work with 7500f pls respond im tired of asking dead people😢
@A-cap79 I used a b650 as well and I didn't update anything. I just built it and downloaded all the software from MSI and the graphics card drivers and it was ready to go

Vids always 🔥🔥🔥

Love watching scattervolt and debating if the build im saving up to is optimal 😂
Whatever I've got on pcbuilds.gg is the most optimal at any given moment lol
i have a 4090 and i9-14900kf and I havent had a single issue everything plays smooth and looks amazing

Hola!
@peanuthead0441 It started immediately, but the first thing I did after the launch was to update the bios. In MSI, it's quite simple
I picked up a 4070ti super a week and a half ago cuz im not getting anything 50 series related, 1440p is the max for me, could never tell a worthy difference between 1440p and 4k. Pc runs like a charm and im gonna swap to Am5 from intel beginning of next year
Thank you boss! This will help a lot
I'm wondering the exact same thing

As I’ve watched your computer builds & recommendations along with others, one common thing leaves me out. Everything is built around gaming. is the i5-13600KF and i5-13600K a big difference?
You can look up that difference yourself on google ;)
I just finished mostly assembling my 7900XTX Taichi White/7800X3D build. Unfortunetly I have to wait for a replacement AIO. The one they sent had stripped threads on more than half of the mount holes. Note this is a Lian Li Hydroshift so it's designed to be top mounted so bad mounting was not gonna fly.

What about 5700X3D itself and ur opinion about pairing it with a 3060 ti and is there a better pairing for the gpu?
Just got a Rx 7800xt paired with a Ryzen 5 7600x i upgraded to earlier this this year. It was an amazing upgrade from the 2070 super i had. I would recommend it if you are looking at around the 400-600$ range.
oh man.. is it just me, or the videos are getting more "cinematic" , i dig it. 😮😮❤
It’s a bonus haha.
This is a huge help! Personally, I'm looking to pair a 4070ti super with either a 5700x3d or the 5950x if I can find it for cheap on the used market. The 16 cores would be huge for my animation/rendering work and the GPU would last a long time for both gaming/work as well. I'm currently using a 3600x/1070 combo, so it would be a massive step up without having to invest in a new platform at this point.

would a nvidea rtx 4070 12 gb graphics card and a AMD ryzen 7 7700x 8 core cpu be a good combo?
That's fine, but I would suggest this instead:
R5 7600(X)
4070 Super/Ti or RX 7800 XT/RX 7900 GRE
In terms of gaming performance, you're basically going to see minimal (if any) difference between the 7600(X) and the 7700(X). Thus, I would save some money by getting the 7600(X) and put it towards a better GPU.
