Hey there geekawhat, Great video today. Thanks for all the work you and your team put into these videos, I feel as though you are underappreciated. You always, consistently manage to provide an entertaining but also informative video, without going too overboard on the enthusiasm. Keep it up!!
7700x is perfectly fine. X3D cpus are expensive, for 1440p and 4K they are not worth it since you'll be GPU bound pretty much in every game. Buy X3D when you play esports titles on 1080p or if you're rich and don't care about the higher price.
I think the 9800x3d might be overkill for a 4070 ti super since the 7800X3D already combos really well with it and as of now (for me anyways maybe because of stock issues or shipping to my country) the 9800x3d is more expensive than the 4070 ti super so unless you're getting a 4080 super, 4090 or the new 50 series I'd just get the 7800x3d, 9700x or 7700x
Everyone says “dont buy intel!” but when I compare the price to performance from the 14600kf to any cpu from amd, the price to performance just makes me get intel, why should i get amd when the equal performance would end up in me buying a cpu costing 100$+
Because the intel socket 1700 is dead, meaning there won’t be any more CPUs for it and not a good upgrade path. The AM5 still has a few more generations left so really good upgrade path.
@@TufoTech aight next question Are the results meaningfully different enough for me to not only know what that means but to truly consider AMD over Intel? Also, *which* AMD CPU has better... "niche" performance?
With RAM it is also important to have 2 sticks and use alternate channels to install them. 1 stick will not provide full performance, and 4 sticks are unstable in some cases.
depends, if you buy cheapest 4060 ti 16gb which costed around $350 might be good, but note that some of 4060 ti 16b cost MORE than a 4070, heck some version surpass 4070 super, be careful of what version you buy, cheapest 4070 is miles better than an expensive 4060 ti 16gb
No, just buy the B580 for 100$ less or a 7700xt for like 40$ more. They are both significantly better choices. If you dont mind you can also wait for the next AMD gen for the 8700xt for about the same price for the 7700xt
CL 36 is fine the difference between CL30 and CL36 is like between 2 to 3% hardly any gamechanger. Id rather use my budget to towards a CPU/GPU and having a decent PSU over overspending on RAMs in particular
So you would spend another $10-20 on CPU or GPU and think you gain more than the 3% you lost by nerfing the RAM? good luck with that. I would rather just spend those extra $10-20 on the RAM.
Im getting soon my b650e asus tuf gammng wi fi paring it with an 5 7500f but idk if i schould wait for nvidea 5000 ore going with an 4080 ore 4070 16gb
Number 1 Component to avoid - an Nvidia GPU. You just KNOW the 50xx series cards are going to come in at a higher price & comparably lower tier than the last gen, with insufficient VRAM to boot. The 5090 will be the huge upgrade, but the 5070 will be what the 5060 should've been, and the 5080 will be what the 5070 should've been. You know, just like the 40xx series at launch, except worse.
When you looking for a GPU there are some important factors to look for below. 1. Bus Speed, 128 bit, 192 bit, 284, 384 bit. 2. VRAM Type GDDR, GDDR6, GDDR6X 3. VRAM: 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32 GDDR6x 4. Cooling Design: 1,2,3 Single, Dual, triple fans 5. Form Factor Size: mini-ATX, micro, ATX 6: Power Supply: What is the recommended power supply needed to power the GPU as well for overclocking
The intel ultra chips are getting hammered for the lack of performance gains over 14th gen while ignoring all the improvements. Intel is still the chip for anyone that uses their computer for more than gaming. WTH is up with amd idle wattage. No thanks I'll pass. Who cares if you're playing games at 115 instead of 120 fps. lol
people hate on the 4060 for no reason fair enough on release because the price was ridiculous but now it’s a reasonable affordable price there’s no reason for the hate
i say buy whats you want and can afford im not goin broke just to play games buy intel buy amd buy nvidia buy what suits your budget to say avoid intel avoid amd or nvidia is just plane stupid stop being bias an allow people to think for themselves
I'll buy nothing but Asus motherboards. They are the best mother boards out there for my use. And i really do not care about the Asus support issues. That is a US problem. I live in a country with acctual byers protection laws. So we don't have to deal with Asus. ASRock is a good number 2 tho.
Dudes never known anything but having millionaire parents. I use a 4070 12gb for 1440p to 4K low settings 60fps. What a twat, must be nice to be rolling in it and telling people to buy a 4090 to play games on their $800 4K TV.

in north american, basically need to avoid buying any electronics in 2025 due to the 46% increase in tariff, buy now if you can
Really hope orange man doesn't implement that shit right away.
@@Adrian_Franco It's set in stone already to implement in January. It's on the news

What cpu would you recommend to combine with a 7900 xt? This will be my first pc build.
9800x3d, 7800x3d, Ryzen 7 7700x and non x, 7600x

@musm3367 I appreciate your help. I'll more than likely pick up 7700.
I just built a pc with a 7900xt this month and went with the R7 7700X and Im more than happy with it
7800X3D with 4070 Super, 9800X3D with 4070Ti Super or wait for 5070Ti 16GB 256 BIT.
If money is an issue I recommend getting the build now rather than later

Because amd cpu has better single core performance and their integrated graphics are really good.

rx 7700 xt, rx 6800 from AMD or rtx 3060 ti, rtx 4060

The intel B580 makes 4060 kinda... obsolete? I don't know I need more samples for my verdict.
If they are produced enough and they provide support for old games (Won't ever happen according to DF) , then yeah
The 1% low is not good on intel your games will be lagging you will have to wait for drivers update
