Loved it with the roller! It's giving very 80's Black "special occasion" hair vibes. I guarantee somebody had this look in their wedding or prom pics. 😄 It's also a baby version of Patti Labelle's bucket hairdo. Those 80's French roll styles were epic!! Yea you can wear it in your hair for several days as long as you wrap it back up every night. These are around the same concept as sponge rollers. If you are a heavy sweater then I wouldn't recommend cause all the moisture would just stay on the foam and keep your hair from setting.
Doesn't matter what hairstyly viv has, she always looks stunning, and her hair always looks amazing! I get a lot of tips and tricks for my own hair care from this channel, despite my obviously different hair texture, universal hair love!
The hair fully in the tube gave me, like, Tudor era painting/portrait vibes. like wearing a puffy princess dress, with a veil over top. But honestly, the crown of the head full of flowers, making it look like a flower basket would have been beautiful too. Lmao!

Maybe you can find another foam ring( from a place like hobby lobby, Michael's, or your local crafts store)that's a darker color so you can keep it in... the big hair curls from the 70s/80s is nice as well🙂🥰
the halo style turned out great! historically they used similarly things to the green circle to help create large hairstyles (like the gibson girl "hair rat" thing). I would not be surprised if there is a tutorial out there telling you how to make your own, or actual hair products that are hair colored. It is always funny to me to see how old things that go out of style make their way back into style.
I used to do that same hair style going to high school in the early eighties….But instead I used a tube top it was a little trendy back then…❤️
Your hair looked amazing wrapped around the foam as well as after taking it out. Next time wear the foam until your hair completely dries for a couple of days and then take it out. I think I want to try that on my locs when they get longer.
You should wear the tube style as is (as long as no tubing show lol), & add hair jewels & accessories and maybe some finger coils on the sides of your head. If you where going to some sort of formal engagement that would be a hairstyle you could wear also if you are going to try this you should wrap some black ⚫ silk or satin fabric around the tube so that it blends in with your hair and other benefits too; also please feel free to do another (updated), video with what I mentioned above lol.

Rolled up was amazing on you. Very regal. As for achieving the actual curls he achieved I’d say either pre stretch the hair or get another wreath mold that isn’t as thick. You might could also try a small diameter one in the middle and the one you used on the outer area. That would give your occipital area more curl definition. It’s a neat idea just got to fiddle with it to make it completely work for your hair and achieve the style you’re wanting.

In my younger days I'd sleep with my mohawk up and those were always such restless nights. PS. The hair up around the roll tube was giving Edwardian Gibson girl vibes almost. Perhaps with a slightly smaller ring it would look even closer. I know I wouldn't be able to try this style out though as my head is tiny so a ring that size would just be round my neck! 🤣

I think this is a modern way of doing an older style that would use a long rolled rag in historical hairstyles to do the same thing the foam ring accomplished.

I personally wasn't feeling it either but it was a style. I think your technique was good, but maybe if the ring was a smaller size it would look better for your hair. The style kind of reminded me of maybe the 60s or 70s. It looked a bit old school.
