Thank you so so much bro. I didn't even realize how big of a nuisance this small issue is until it happened. Couldn't edit, had to add new contacts on a damn text file and never knew who was calling. Couldn't get the Google sync to work but that's nothing compared to actually being able to use Contacts again. Thanks again dude, seriously.

I look in the comment and see everyone preferred method 3 and I tried and it works thanks alot. The last person told me I would afto factory reset my phone for the problem to solve.

Thank you I imagine how much, my god the problem has trouble and destroy my work and life for at least four years, I even doubt it Google blocked the other phone maker, or the other phone maker are not capable to see the problem, I saved a contact into Google take ten minutes or even one hour, I thus delayed and loss many business as contact also get stuck, I changed many brands phone, the quick one is Google phone, but Google phone is crazy in terms of functions and battery life, mad I am for many years until I today feel need to ask, lucky to found your great video, my god thanks

Hello This is very good video. I have exactly same error and I tried 7 methods but nothing helped :(. I also had calendar issues for sync along with contacts. But somehow the calendar is now syncing one way ... from Phone to google but not other way form google to Phone :(. In 3rd method I imported the contacts from file but the sync issue is not resolved an my contacts from google are all gone and not synced with Phone
Do you have any other suggestion EXCEPT FULL RESET

Especially third method retry exactly. (Ensure contacts are deleted after clearing data)
@@brainerstech I again tried the 3rd method 1 by 1 steps. The contacts restored from file, I see the contacts imported but still SYNC error "Trouble syncing, waiting to try again"
And when i create contact its not saved to google but to phone :(

For me... Settings..app management.."contact storage"..clear data and then force stop .worked fine.
.realme device..
Pleade note.. 'contact storage" is a single app name.

Dude - May be try same steps for WhatsApp as well.
Before doing clear data and uninstall back up your WhatsApp to gdrive with
Settings > Chats > Chat backup > BACK UP.
