  • You shouldn't rinse off moisturizer as its purpose is to lock in moisture.
    To apply it:
Cleanse: Clean your face of impurities and dry it for effective moisturizer absorption.
Toner (Optional): Apply toner if you have one. If not, it's okay to skip.
Treatments/Serums (Optional): If you use treatments or serums, apply them after the toner and before the moisturizer.
Moisturize: Spread a small amount evenly over your face and neck without rinsing.
Absorption: Allow a couple of minutes for the moisturizer to absorb.
Sunscreen (For Daytime): If it's daytime, finish with a sunscreen to protect from UV rays.

What do i do if i think I've ruined my skin from the previous tries of skin care?
Currently I'm only using a cleanser and retinol now. Plus some sunscreen.
Maybe the past skincare mistakes have made my face worse than it should have been....? Idk

Well, I honestly don't know, but it's certainly possible that you damaged the skin. I've seen this many times over the past few years, mainly because people often use all kinds of products that influencers recommend. Usually, the skin recovers quite quickly, so within a few days or weeks, everything should be back to normal if you cleanse it properly.

@@thelegendaryvibhu6427 You could try something like this:
      AM:
      - Regular Cleanser (suitable for your skin type)
      - Azelaic Acid (serum, gel or cream)
      - Sunscreen
      PM:
      - Regular Cleanser
      - Retinol, Retinal or Retinoid (gel, lotion or cream)
If you experience dryness, use the treatments less often, like every other day. On the days when you're not using any treatments, you can use a lightweight lotion or gel-cream moisturizer.
