Yes, that's a great way to cleanse your face on the way. You can use a cleanser (using the dry method), Micellar Water or something like makeup wipes. Those are just some ideas which you can do when driving your truck! :)

Hi there. So, my daughter is 5 and I'm a single mom, she's my only kid. She is really interested in all of my skin care products. I always catch her on her little stool on the bathroom splashing water on her face and pretending to put on lotions and serums. Lol. Is there anything gentle enough for her to use on her baby skin? Or should I just put her baby soap into a little bottle and have her use that? Any cream recommendations gentle for her skin? I know this sounds silly, but you always respond and I trust your knowledge. Thank you. You're wonderful. ❤

Hi Melissa! I have 2 different cleansers, one is the Benzac benzoyl peroxide wash and the other is the Cetaphil oily skin cleanser. I use a Niacinamide serum and was just wondering which cleanser was best to use with this. I was also looking at using Lactic Acid but was unsure if I can use it with these cleansers or serums. Do you have any recommendations??

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet 3 года назад +3

Niacinamide is not an issue since it does not have any conflicts except for pure vitamin c, but that's also a controversial topic.
Anyway, with lactic acid it may be a different story since it is an exfoliant. Depending on the strength you want to use, it can irritate when used after benzoyl peroxide, at least from my experience. It may not happen right away, but the more you do it, the more it can happen. So, therefore, I recommend only using it after Cetaphil Cleanser.
      So like this:
      Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser
      Niacinamide
      Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser
      Niacinamide
      Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser
      Lactic Acid

hello melissa! for around 6 or 7 months now my skin has been terrible mostly at the cheek and chin area, my skin has never been this bad, around 4 months of it being terrible it cleared for one day then went back to being absolutely bad. alot of pimples and those little bumps, and those pimples become scars, ive had a few in the same spot for about 5 months now and it feels like it would never go.
im not really sure what the problem is, before this happened i was using the cerave salciylic acid cleanser, then switched to eucerin dermo purifyer cleansing gel, and towards the end of the bottle i started breaking out.
im not that into skincare, so i just use the regular stuff, cleanser and moisturizer
i am currently using the thank you farmer back to daily foaming gel cleanser for sensitive skin and the arnaud PA oil balancing moisturizer.
i change my pillow sheet every week, and i wash my face when i wake up and before going to sleep. i have sensitive combination skin with very oily T-zone and dry chin up a bit to my cheeks and the rest is normal. i am thinking about starting accutane but im not sure.
do you have any cleanser suggestions or anything at all? im desperate

      Hey!
While you were at the end of the bottle of your Eucerin Cleanser, have you changed anything else? Like your moisturiser? How about your diet, stress or wearing a face mask?
What if you change back to the CeraVe SA cleanser and the moisturiser you used back then?
Have you ever tried a 4% or 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser and Differin Gel? I recommend trying this at first before getting into Accutane.

Yeah, as pointed out above, it's just the climate. When I didn't have the air conditioning on, I experienced the same issue. I haven't found a solution for this.
However, I usually just massage the cleanser to ensure I cover all areas. I'm not exactly sure how long that takes, maybe 15-20 seconds. Then, I rinse off and use my washcloth to remove any residue before rinsing again.
Ultimately, you need to find the right balance and timing that suits your individual needs.

If you can find a 5% Niacinamide serum, you can start with 5%. However, Niacinamide is generally well tolerated so, you could start with 10% as well. Still, if it should be a bit too strong, you always can dilute it with a moisturiser :)

CeraVe foaming facial cleanser normal to oily
    CeraVe resurfacing Retinol serum
    Or
Cetaphil daily facial cleanser normal to oily
    CeraVe resurfacing retinol serum.
(My face is oily and I have acne marks)

From my experience, Cetaphil cleanser tends to sting on sensitive skin, whereas CeraVe doesn't do that. But from a washing perspective, both perform great!

Probably because she is a real person and cares about her subscribers? Even if someone like you is writing BS under her videos... 🤔

@@WickedKiss Very interesting 🤔 What products and people are you referring to?
And I am not paid by anyone to demonstrate these products; I primarily like to help people. So as a result, people subscribe to my channel and support it.
And I think I am the only one on RUclips in the skincare scene that is not sponsored. 🤣
