I may be wrong, but I thought that he didn't ever go to prison but instead went to a rehab centre? I know he has dealt with a ton of addiction stuff, and that's why I resonate with him so much, but I never knew he went to prison for it.

Even from a psychological viewpoint these 2 songs are a masterpiece. The original really feels like "I know i'm not a good person, i'm a vampire, i'm a zombie, i'm going to hell and i'm dragging people with me. Screw it, this is the only way i know how to deal now so i'm just gonna ride this wave in a crazy life."
And then the revamped version is the hindsight after recovery like "This person is lost, this person is in pain, this person is afraid. Afraid of his bad life, but equally afraid of leaving it because he doesn't even comprehend how there can be any happiness on the other side. He is a prisoner of his own darkest side and that is a sad, tragic thing to see."
And without changing a single word Ronnie has captured both perspectives beautifully.
It never gets old watching people’s first experience of Revamped. It’s like going back to my first time listening to it too. ❤️🔥✌🏼

Ronnie was the original vocalist for Escape the Fate before he went to prison. The band replaced him during his sentence and he formed Falling in Reverse when he was released

He was so good in escape the fate. Some of my fav songs but falling in reverse he took it to another level.
He formed FIR while he was "in" prison. And wrote this song and others while he was there.
If you hear Ronnie talk about the original it's kinda funny because he actually makes fun of the way he sang back then and jokingly says things along the lines of not knowing why people would listen to it. Whatever he believes though, I think he was a good vocalist and always just seems to get better.
I agree. From the day I heard him in escape the fate to now hes always had a unique voice, always. Everyone else back then sounded the same ya know?
@@RoxxyFly Yeh totally agree, when he started escape the fate he/they were one of the first and leading ones that kinda started that subgenre and the rest tried to copy, but they never got Ronnies sound. And to this day he stays ahead of the others.

I will say I didn't find FIR until Popular Monster and fell in love immediately. I started working my way backwards through their discography and I was very hesitant to listen to the way back when stuff. I had this idea that I wouldn't like it and it would *mar* how I felt about them now.
I was so wrong. 😂 I acknowledge that the newer songs are complete masterpieces but I have also fallen in love with just about everything they've done from the beginning. Off the top of my head there are maybe 3 songs that I skip over when they come up. Everything else, I know every word, every note, and every beat and love it all.
I'm curious to know if, since making this video, the original has been stuck in your head. Something that happens ONLY with Ronnie's music, and I have zero explanation as to how, is that the songs manage to get better and better the more I listen to them. Even if some of the old stuff didn't grip me immediately, a few times of coming up on my playlist and I'm totally hooked.
Followed Ronnie since escape the fate but I get connected to all of them except the album coming home it was way hit or miss
The guitarist who did the solo isn't the one who passed, that's Jacky Vincent and he is very much alive!

This entire 'falling in reverse' reimagining cycle that is going on really feels like them going from " lol i am so emo and depressed" to actually fighting against real depression and metal health through music.gaining a lot of respect from me the more i listen.

The band grew up in the pop punk/post hardcore scene and, at the time, they just wanted to be the kings of that scene but as time went on and the members started maturing and Ronnie wanted to push himself, you have what FIR is today. All of it is good if you're a pop punk kid like me, but the new stuff is obviously leagues above anything else.

Ronnie writes all the lyrics & music for all the songs... I know some of the band members have changed over the yrs, one of guitarist actually passed away almost 2 yrs ago, he was w him from the start of FIR, actually picked him up from prison.... RIP Derek Jones.... and drummers switched a few times, one in Zombifide is new one, in "Drugs", is drummer from band Black Veil Brides... one these days I definitely need to check out on ur own or reacting to it.. his very first song w Escape the Fate- "Not Good Enough For Truth in Cliche"... it was like 15 yrs ago.. great reaction action need to do the same w "Drug in Me is You"... next

the original song is how i felt in highschool/college as a young kid thinking my pain/mistakes were funny and cool. The remaked is me at 30 realizing how much I fucked up in life and trying desperately to fix my mistakes for my children.

Ronnie wrote the song while i prison, before the formation of Falling in Reverse. He then wrote the rifs with the guitarist via telephone. Epitaph to whom they are signed to has always let ronnie do his thing.

You should definitely check out Sion and their songs drown, the blade and inside the hollow. It's jared dines and Howard Jones project and its amazing with cool riffs and choruses. They definitely doesn't get the recognition that they deserve.
I love the original, but this one just hits different. I honestly got goosebumps the first time I heard the revamped version. It's so hauntingly beautiful. And honestly I love the revamped version better.

I love Ronnie and Falling in Reverse, but there is one thing that bugs me about the original I'm Not a Vampire video. It's the red pants. They are so far down Ronnie's butt, that he is mooning the people behind him and I'm not sure how the pants are even staying on. At one point he turns to the side and for a split second we can see that the pants are riding under his butt!! I wonder why he decided to go with that. He obviously had other pants!

Ronnie wasn't starting out, he's been here since like 2004 with Escape The Fate, he just got out of prision straigh to the studio.
The album the original was on was written by Ronnie Radke while he was in prison. Some of the songs shows how he felt betrayed and angered by what happened to him.
If you guys want another emotional song by Mr “beef castle” Ronnie, “Brother” was a wave of emotions for me to listen to. Just crazy how Ronnie leaves everything out on the table for everyone to experience.

actually Ronnie wright almost all of the music to! so the sound changed with him because he changed. the band members also keep changing all the time and yet the sound remains "ronnie" because of that. if you really want to listen to how Ronnie started you should react to escape the fate - situations
