The skyactive X engine that'll arrive in fall with AWD and almost 200HP for under 30k and all those features and quality is beyond everything you'll get from Mercedes, Audi, BMW or VW for this amount of money. As someone who owned a 2012 6 and now a 2019 CX-5 and 2020 3, cant say enough about Mazda. Very underrated company. They don't sell a lot of cars mainly due to brand ignorance and lack of dealer networks, but they're definitely quality and reliable. Never had a single issue with either of them with a combined milage of over 300k that required a trip back to the dealership or shop. Just do basic DIY maintenance and they seem to run forever.
That aside confused in the video stated the Mazda doesn't have lane keep assist. Is that something specific to the Canadian market? All trims of 3 for the 4th gen got that here in the States. Mines only a mid-trim (Preferred) and it has it.

@@leonardotorres9388 I totally agree! I owned both the 2004 Mazda 3 (new) and later the 2004 Mazda RX8 (used) and at the time I thought especially the 3's interior and entertainment controls were best in-class. They still have a charm that I feel the more neutral 2019 Mazda 3 dash and controls lack. Not that the 2019 isn't nice! It's just more in the direction of BMW which is rather bland IMHO. (I've owned Mazda 3/RX8, BMW M Roadster, as well as Corvette, Camaro, Impala, Infiniti G37, and others, so I'd like to think I'm not a blind fan boy of any one brand). My last four cars were $55-72k range but I'd feel comfortable in a 19 Mazda 3 in all ways except probably the engine would be a little let down for me. I bought a 2018 Elantra which I think looks much better than the 2019. But I really wanted it for the fuel economy and cheap maintenance. It has the same drive train and atkinson cycle 2.0L engine as the 2019. I like the idea of having a larger engine that's detuned a little making less power compared to example a smaller 1.5L GDI turbo that has more parts to break or service and is being pushed harder to make power. The 2.0L in the Elantra is also an MPI so no GDI carbon build up issues or high pressure expensive injectors. The list goes on with the Elantra with things like rear drum brakes that should last 150'000km with non-agressive driving and are protected from road debris which is an issue for rear disc brake cars if you drive in winter or dirt roads a lot, traditional 6 speed automatic planatary gear transmission which feels great and should be more reliable than a CVT for example. I've found that I can drive mine faster than average people on the roads and still get 7-8L per 100km fuel economy which is great. The infotainment with Hyundai/Kia is better than any other car I've been in, plus Android auto works flawlessly and the touch screen is large and very responsive with well designed software. So I'm happy for long term with this car.

A manual transmission with the AWD. Don’t make me choose one or the other. And at least in the US, Mazda is making me choose. MTs are a premium option in the US. No one buys a car with a MT to save money. Don’t confine them to the cheap version. Put them on your enthusiast version (the version that doesn’t have FWD).

Steve's character agrees, and says, "Ok, thanks", and gets in the truck. The truck pulls forward about the 50' to the end of the fence and says, "We're here" and Steve's character gets out. Using that control knob for Google maps in Android Auto is a MAJOR hassle to me. I actually feel it is LESS safe because it requires more time to do everything. For my 90 minute commute, I actually prefer my Elantra for that reason.

Not really because for most people they don’t even have to look at the screen to use the knob, making it safer than finding things on a touch screen

4:13 But Mazda's SKYACTIV-G engines also operate with Atkinson/Miller cycle in the manner you describe. Hyundai's marketers harp on this point more than Mazda.

I’ve never liked the current Elantra design and when you put it next to the Mazda 3 it looks absolutely terrible.

It’d be cool if someone would review new cars and compare which is gonna be easier to service and do regular maintenance on

Bahahaha another epic intro! Beautiful work fellas! This video cn be summed up in one word, seductive. Still and get over how badly Hyundai messed up the front of the Elantra. They turned a great looking car into a hideous triangle. Yikes
