This is what I love most about socialist music: Pieces like the Internationale, the Warschawjanka or Bella Ciao are not only sung all over the world, but also translated in so many different languages... wherever people are oppressed by the ruling class, they turn to these songs and make their own version of it... beautifull!

It's interesting that all this Warszawiankas in lots of different laguages are making this song much more comunistic that the original version was.
Warszawianka was a song of polish socialists from (PPS-Polish Socialist Party). PPS was a left-wing party, but there weren't communists or radicals. They main postulate was polish independence from Russia, Germany and Austria-Hungary. Many people from PPS were later fighting for polish independence against the bolsheviks (during polish-bolshevik war 1919-1920) and the USSR (during and after WW2).

Warszawianka 1905 - a Polish socialist song written in 1879. It was written by Wacław Święcicki while serving his sentence for socialist activity in the 10th pavilion of the Warsaw Citadel. Behind the prison walls, he handed over the text in the form of the original flu, dotting the appropriate letters in Pan Tadeusz. The music, partly based on the Żuawów March, was written by Józef Pławiński, imprisoned with Święcicki in the citadel.
The text was first printed on September 15, 1883 in the first issue of the Proletariat. It was sung in the streets for the first time outside the socialist group in March 1885 during a street demonstration in Warsaw. It got its name during the May Day manifestation of 1905, when it became the anthem of demonstrating workers during the 1905 revolution. The name referred to the songs of the November insurgents.
The song unexpectedly gained incredible popularity and was translated into practically all languages of the world (even Esperanto and Kurdish, Chciński, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese etc.
The song in Russian translation by G. M. Krzyżanowski, known simply as "Warszawianka", gained popularity in the Soviet Union as a "revolutionary song". It happened thanks to the film "Młodość Maksyma" from 1934, in which the work played an important dramatic role.
There are no anti-Russian words in the Russian text.
      -----------------------------------
"Warszawianka 1905" known under the Spanish name "A las barricadas" also gained popularity during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939, where it became the anthem of the anarcho-syndicalist labor union of the CNT.
The theme of the song was quoted by Edward Elgar in the symphonic prelude "Polonia". "Warszawianka" was translated into English by Douglas Robson and Randall Swingler in two different versions
