#2. I flew in Honduras as a passenger in 92. Man it was one hell of a landing. Before we could take off they left all luggage behind so the jet could take off. We had to wait over a week for our luggage to be delivered. So we could get to work on rebuilding the only Container Crane. That a Ship ran into Bow first. Great Experience.
That must've sucked man hope none of your luggage was dammaged cuz same thing happened to my friends parents in '95 just before he was born(born 3 weeks after the incident) and half of his parents filming equipment was destroyed...
Like the bit when the narrator says the Gibraltar is the most dangerous airport in Europe. And the follows with showing Norway and Portugal which are even worse both in Europe.
Nepal had it's most recent flight accident here sadly and no one survived.. If You want to reach to the top of the world, you have to have near death experience
You could re-do this video and include decommissioned airports... or even better 15 most dangerous or complicated instrument approaches for example the MLS into the nasa shuttle landing facility or the visual into the old Hong Kong Kai Tek visual with the checkerboard turn! The Buthan approach is difficult for sure. The tenzing Hillary approach at #1 belongs there. Absolutely!
Thanks for letting me know where NOT to go to vacations, it's stressful enough for me to take a flight to learn about the destination's airport reputation, anyways nice video, kind of reminds me Be Amazed.
@@Vile_Entity_3545 I don't have any problem with danger, actually I wear several scars and prosthetic teeth with pride after beating the shit out of myself falling off my mountain bike several times over the years but what I don't like about flying is that I don't have any control over the situation, it's not about turbulence or fear of heights it's just if something goes wrong I can't do a shit about it.
@@gloria88246 Yeah ¨Be Amazed¨ has changed over the years and it has lost some of its original charm mostly because of the narrator and also he introduces some topics that I won't discuss but you probably know what I'm talking about but when the content is good I don't bother too much, and now that you mention it the narrator of this channel kinda sounds like the old narrator from the other channel, who knows? maybe he's the same person even the videos are similar, he maybe left Be Amazed to make his own new channel with blackjack and hookers ha ha.
Haha, I know that reading Wikipedia out loud is hard, but the requirement for the pilots flying into the last one on the list is TEN flights into Lukla, not TEN THOUSAND. 10k flights is an insane number. Even if the pilot did let's say two flights every single day without weekends or vacations, it would take almost 14 years to achieve ten thousand flights.
Resulted from the mistakes made by KLM's most experienced pilot, Van Zanten who was literally was the poster boy for KLM, taking off without clearance, which led to the deaths of 583 people
These are scary but try being on a C-130A making a landing under warzoze condutions at full speed at night with a full payload. I've logged over 100 flights and nothing is more intimidating. My respects for these Air Force and Navy pilots is incalculable. 🕊️
Sounds like a personal problem you complain about but want ‘cred’ for anyway?? Naw, u signed the sheet for your nation, be proud or ✌️ leave. Shame on your ego~ smgdh🤦♀️
My point of view...If former U.S.Navy pilots can land or depart on an aircraft carrier, the rest of flying procedures wouldn't be a dire strait situation.
Forgot to mention that Oslo is shit aswell, always windy and bumpy. Some guy had advised the government to upgrade fornebu instead because of winds, he tragically died when «falling» out of a window..
Well, me and my family go to Roatan from Dallas which is the very risky airport because the runway is short and a lot of rough landings then la ceiba which is surrounded by trees and have a shorter runway Then Roatan And unlike Roatan the airport to operate airplanes and a big as the Boeing 737 an airbus A319 and airbus A320 both of the places have almost the same population and the only airport in their area because Roatan is a island and la ceiba is the only international airport there and both of these places are in Honduras so that’s why I’m explaining it because I’m from Honduras my family lives in la ceiba and it’s a great place to travel other so many activities except for swimming because they don’t let you swim in the ocean, but overall the roof so much things to do very dangerous risk your life. I don’t know if there was any crashes but I know it’s pretty dangerous both of these airports specially la ceiba and Roatan
Yeah I don't really fear flying at all, but I am not a fan of crashing. Also, some of these places should really think about a new airport. Of course, the ones that might be able to not all. Most are simply a victim to the location
Gibraltar is a typical example of greed over safety. How easy is it to just build a tunnel under the runway? If the Dutch can do it (Schiphol airport is build on top of a 12 lane 70 mph motorway which is the busiest in the country) then surely building a 4 lane tunnel that is obviously a lot shorter as well shouldn't be that hard.
To most its a dangerous place. But in my case I am "plane crazy" & having crossed of the 3 low landings i wanted to go to hehe. Even did jetblast surfing at JSI & SXM.

Well he did specifically say "SOMETIMES called the most dangerous airport in Europe." Never said it was for sure.

Don't just assume that the audience of this video only consists of US viewers, what made you think that? So don't use feet but meter instead.
Yeah the metric system is used worldwide compared to US and UK Systems.
This was the best 😅😅
Dangerous airport is the wrong word for it. If they were dangerous, they wouldn't be open. The correct word is "challenging"
Agreed Mate

I was surprised to see that the airport at Tenerife was not included. It had the greatest number of deaths in one crash in the history of aviation !
I was surprised as well. Tenerife is a known danger.
