Madeira Funchal is another interesting approach! The plane has to swing over the Atlantic Ocean & do a full 180degrees with maximum bank to get around the mountains & with such a short runway all you see is the ocean as it’s such a steep bank. The flight is almost at 90 degrees angle before quickly straightening out to land but it’s pretty much a roller coaster ride. I also traveled there in 96 before it was extended. I didn’t even know they had made the runway longer but trust me it was very very much needed.
Utter rubbish..."almost 90 degrees" .. I'm a pilot my brother was a Captain with British Airways for over 30 years on every aircraft they had right upto 747's
You forgot to include St Helena's new airport (HLE). Short runway and notorious wind gusts mean dangerous approach and delayed flights.Pilots need special training to land there.
Flying into Gibraltar is always fun, also, they're currently making an effort to remove the use of Winston Churchill Avenue as a route to Spain by digging a tunnel underneath the runway.
Don't forget San Diego International. Mountains out one window, skyscrapers out the other, and the ocean at the end. One strip for landings and takeoffs as well.
Yep, definitely an interesting airport (and one that I've flown into and out of numerous times). It's old name was Lindberg Field, and was changed to SDIA in 2003.
JSI SXM RAR. Those 3 have one thing In common. The low approach over a road or even a beach and the opportunities for pictures... Man the slo-mo i got at SXM & RAR...
In St. Barth, to land from the sea side, the airplane must have thrust reversers. Other aircraft land from the land side, overpassing a road and having to drop 15 meters in millisec. Like a fair ride going down. St. Maarten is only dangerous for the idiots who insist in standing close to the runway. I don't trust those fumes.
What about London City airport. Runway on an old dock and many high rise buildings near by. Planes have to land and take off at a very steep angle. It is an International airport conecting London to many places in Europe.
How could you omit Shagual airport? It's as dangerous as Lukla and the runaway is in curve. Including Congonhas is an ofence. It's one of the most secure airports in the world. Accidents are very rare. The last one has almost 20 years.
So, I flew out of the Mérida airport (#15) and got really scared as the plane kind of lifted down at the end of the runway, and then finally lifted up. I´m not a fearful person (Army Airborne), but, the next time I took the bus to Caracas.
They forget Upernavik Greenland, it's build on a mountain top, and you have steep mountainsides that ends up in the ocean below in both ends of the runway, landings there are well should i say interresting, when the plane taxi's to the terminal, you can look down on the city below.
Tu video tiene muchos errores, en el nombre del primer aeropuerto que mencionas te equivocaste, el aeropuerto que sirve a la ciudad de Merida en Venezuela se llama Alberto Carnevalli.
@01:25 why do you speak of an ATR-42 but at the same time show the picture of some Bombardier CRJ jet aircraft ??? why not show a Boeing 747 and call it a CESSNA 152 ? would you find anything wrong with that ?
First and thank you for this video

I have actually walked across this runway. Twice.
The Gibraltar Chronicle says that the tunnel is due to open within a few weeks. I believe pedestrians and cycles will still use the old crossing.

Awesome ❤
Omg I would never want to land at any of these airports how scary!

You missed Corvo, in the Azores, also a very short triky and windy rnw

It would be interesting to know how you'd define the 'southern tip' of Antarctica?
I mean, the only way, anywhere, out of Antarctica is north.
I think Nepal's mountain airport IS dangerous But beautiest airport where i've ever Been IS Thailand's Phuket airport. What IS a runway? 🛩️
WHAT ABOUT ST.BARTS ? SMALL RUWAY YES OCEAN 🌊 ON BOTH SIDES 😱😱💥🔥!!

ocean on one side and steep hill on the other.
Going into Roanake, VA airport is basically a divebomb.
😀👍🏿Good to know
//;*;;*;**;;//.
There are no flights other than British easy jet and British Airways..... British Airways even has the Gibraltar 🇬🇮 flag on it.....😮
As I’ve always said any landing is a good one as long as you land safely. ✌️👍✌️
Saba should be like number 2
//;*;;**;;//...
St Barts
Bartenders at ST. Juliana be like
" One bear and two Boeings coming up"
Shame the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong is closed. Pilots find landing there a challenge with all of those buildings in Kowloon.
I’ve heard Missoula airport in Montana is also dangerous
The airport in Merida (Venezuela) is Carnevalli, not Carnevale.
Paro should be number 1 too.
Pangyong airport Sikkim is also dangerous

I thought Grise Fiord airport would be here or maybe Resolute Bay in Canada

The takeoff and Ladora airport has been already dangerous now
Alaska ia an continent acording to this guy
Está muy bien el video, pero es sonido es malo, tiene los bajos muy altos y por ello se oye mal
El sonido es pésimo porque es una máquina la que está hablando. Ahora esa es la moda poner a la IA a narrar los videos.
This seems like a rerun.

Congonhas has been grossly mispronounced. It's /Kon-_'goh'_-nyas/ (accent on 'goh'), Not /'Kon-gon-hass'/
Yeah I was gonna say the nh in Portuguese words is like the ñ in Spanish.
I've never seen Congonhas so mispronounced before watching this channel's videos, kudos 😂
