    I bought a 2018 LT 4x4 new and the transmission is garbage. Its been in the shop so many times for repairs. The rear end had to be rebuilt at 800 miles and again around 1200. Its gone in for misfires and electronic issues with stability control. If you put it in tow mode it responds and drives great but it does shutter when coming to a stop occasional regardless. I would be interested to test drive one of these to see if they fixed the problems . Im not keeping mine past the warranty.

    The pricing of these trucks is way too high. In 2015 I bought my left over 2014 Silverado for way less than what a 2015 Colorado was selling for. The only benefit of the Colorado is it will fit inside a standard sized garage.

    Thank god they didn’t change it yet. Just bought a 19 ZR2 and would be pissed if I missed the boat. Love my truck but it’s time they upgrade a lot of things. Needs a damn moon roof already! Upgrade the shifter and get ride of the keys. Power rear window would be nice. Toyota has all of this but did not want to pay those crazy prices plus I lease so who cares if the Toyota lasts 20 years. I will be on my 6th truck by then lol

    Had a 2018 Colorado crew cab long box z71, it had no heated mirrors or CD player. The heated exterior mirrors would of been nice in the northeast but was not on the z71. Truck had plenty of power to tow my boat and trailer. Went to the dealer and traded on a Silverado z71. What a joke of a truck that is! Worst gas mileage I ever had . Colorado got at least 24 on the hwy, the Silverado does not even get 16! There is only 47 horsepower difference but the Colorado is a lighter truck. Thinking about trading already. Maybe I will go back to ford.

      In all honesty the Colorado was a much better built truck than the Silverado that I now own. I only owned it for 17 months but it had plenty of power. I put on a cold air intake and Gibson dual exhaust. I had the computer remapped by a speed shop and it was putting out 328 hp. My Silverado is only 355. When the compare the weight to hp ratio the Colorado was actually faster.

      Don’t forget that NOBODY pays sticker for a Chevy. Expect to pay closer to $30K, which makes this truck a great value.

    I will keep my 2019 Ford ranger XLT off road 4X4 package. I looked at this truck but it felt cheap and I sat real low. In my Ford I sit higher and it is more refined. Besides I can go 0-60 in 7.3 seconds with my Turbo engine!

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  4 года назад +2

      The Colorado with the 3.6 V6 does 0-60 in the low 6 second range (6.2-6.4 seconds).

    • @JustinKelly

      Yes Chevy Colorado come in both 2 and 4 wheel drive. The ZR2 requires 4 wheel drive but all other trims can be had with 2 wheel drive.

    well as usual they put crap tires on it put some real off-road tires even the old rangers back in the 90s and 2000 had Goodyear Wrangler ATS on their four-wheel drives is it like street tires that you get on a two-wheel drive and that snow plow air dam it looks so stupid it doesn't even look like an off-road truck like that

      I had an F-150 with the 10 speed and that was awesome. I have a Colorado with the 8 speed and it is nearly as good. The Colorado even has a larger displacement.

    Stay far away from GM..... Stick with Ford or Toyota for reliability

      Ford is garbage any I ever driven or owned constantly putting money in them to fix and replace a part before 200K miles never had that problem with a Chevy.

      Id rather take GM over ford any day, but Toyota id definitely take over GM,Ford, or Chrysler

    • @waltchan
      @waltchan 4 года назад

      According to many auto mechanics I spoke with, GM's V8 engines are more-reliable than Ford due to their long-use of OHV pushrod technology. Ford engines are mostly SOHC or DOHC that eats timing-chain camshaft after about 100,000 miles, or maybe less.
