Only Crobots produce original content that no other boat-based channel can offer like Screw Shoes.

We are Crobot and we are sick in the head - YAAASSSS !!! You're ace guys
Ha! Glad you think so!!!!
Anoth great update, Chris what is going on, you were quite productive in todays episode :-) always make me smile, and the bacon launched into the pan was the sign of an accomplished chef :-) thanks for brightening our day, good luck!
Thank you very much, the more I feed her the harder she will run around, stock her up with bacon and she will run smoothly all day 🤣
I have every confidence in your stove servicing skills Chris. Crack out the Marigolds and get going, you don’t need the Maverick.
Just put him on Tea duty. 😋
thanks so much for your confidence, lucky for me he's already done it 😂😂but im fully trained now
Becks is doing brill. You stay in the kitchen lad 😂 . Youre such a lovely couple im loving the vlogs
Nice haircut Chris. Great to see you cooking again missed the twirling of the utensils. 😂 walls look amazing bex defo the best idea to cover with ply. X
It looks good doesn't it! He cuts it himself! Haha! He loves a twirly utensil sesh! Thanks so much, they look so much better and brighter than before! X
Personally having cruised in a Narrowboat solo for many hours, I would never ditch a Bow Thruster. They can be very useful, especially if you are forced to cruise solo in windy conditions. I was once trapped against the tow path on an elevated section of canal by myself, nobody about to help due to wind holding the boat against the bank. I had to use the pole tied to a rope to hold the bow out, use full power to steer the stern away from the bank and haul the pole out whilst steering, using the rope. A Bow Thruster would have been a godsend.
no id love to get it all working again really, maybe get it welded shut and then when we have time and the money to fix it get it fixed?? I imagine its very useful especially on longer boats...maybe we need to reconsider thanks for your insight
you both amaze me with your project. think you've both produced a new diy programme "Crobots Boat S O S" 👍🏻
Hahaha!!! Amazing!! I wonder if DIY SOS would do a spinoff!
@@TheNomadicCrobot its taken chris a few years to get his dream now it's your turn to get rewarded
Mondays are made . When you 2 are on ❤
Aww so lovely ❤️

I watched this a second time with a glass of wine. The wine helps with Chris’s kitchen maneuvers! LOL
Even with the weird photography of the floors and walls. Love you guys!!!
Haha thank you for enjoying. We highly recommend to drink responsibility during our disastrous videos 😂 next year we will be moving the braket up to ' heavy drinking recommend ' 🤣 thank you so much🤩
Well done guys. Great job.
Has the Grey/blue boat from next door finally said ‘I can’t cope anymore with Chris’s Crazyness - I’m leaving this Hell Hole’ and Legged it? 😂
they jumped in very quick to a new spot haha dont blame them 😂😂
You both ahould be proud of what you have achieved
Thank you, it's been a touch journey but whe you look back so much has been achieved, what a ride, have a lovely week 😊
Wood queen......hmm....is that for you carpentry skills or some other skill set??.....ooh hush my filthy mouf!
I moved onto my boat on friday!!! Been diy'ing like a crobot for maiden voyage on Wednesday! So excited I could crap!Tell Chris I love his haircut but I'm getting fat on the sheet quantity of waffle! 🤪

Haha! I know!! What a nickname I've landed myself eh 😉😂
Oh wow! How exciting!! Go you!! I hope it's gone smoothly!? Hahahaha!!! That's brilliant!! That really made me chuckle!!! The same to you lovely, enjoy your lovely boat x
New haircut Chris. You guys have done so much to the Whistling Wombat, she’s really coming along and looking better and better every episode, now the excitement of seeing what you two have got yourselves into but hopefully that’s in the next episode. We’re still in the van and at least now we know settlement is the 13th of October. At our daughters tonight as the van is in for a new air con, a quick $3500AUS and I get to catch up on my important RUclips subscriptions. Henri has his hand operated on on the 25th, Beccs be careful if using a table saw, I know the damage they can do. Take care guys and I’ll catch up with you when I can. 💕
Thanks Pauline, aww that sounds so amazing..and fun. id love to try a van one day and probably will, thanks so much for finding time to tune in time and time again, have an amazing week guys xx
I'm gonna guess an EcoFlow video is incoming. I don't think you would be as excited for a Hello Fresh video. Great video guys with this amount of good progress 2026 is nailed on for CC. 🙃
hmmmm interesting , thanks so much...2026 is looking a tad to close 😂
Wow, a bonus episode! Looking good. Soon you will have to go cruising because there won't be any DIY projects left...haha
yes thats it, very excited on this one...by what weve heard the quest for a completed narrowboat doesn't exist so im sure there will always be something to do , take care
@@TheNomadicCrobot Yes, always something on a boat..
Floor and walls are a credit to you, they look great. Please cover them when working on the stove, maybe clean the chimney first and hoover out the actual stove to cut down on soot. I've my Rayburn in bits at the moment and the soot gets everywhere. Becca could get into woodwork when you are continuous cruising, make small stuff to sell, if she hasn't had enough of it all by then.
That's a good idea though weve actually forgotten to do that now, luckily were not finished, yes I think Becca is itching to bring some of wood work on route...I think it will make for a great addition to the cruising , shes still going strong...just have to make sure she has teas when called upon 😂
Regards the BSS and disconnected bow thruster, this is my reading of the rules:
Items that are disconnected can be considered as not present as long as electrical wiring has been completely removed back to the distribution/fuse box. Removal of a fuse or circuit breaker does not constitute making the circuit inactive.
Thank you so much, this is really helpful 😊
Nip to the Tip and keep your brass bits polished !
Hahaha!!! What a successful day!
Hope you put those screws back in the right box. 😅 Hey the bow thruster would really help. I know, cos i didn't have one!
Absolutely, nothing worse than a pick and mix up.haha yeah in fairness it would be lovely to have it working...it was a thing we always wanted to get fixed
Well if you ever do or can do merch, I know I would definitely would buy a mug
haha Thank you kindly Vik, you deserve at least 1000 free ones 😀
love your videos. i love a good old waffle lol
haha thanks you so much for enjoying the waffle
What a great looking living room now, the wombat is getting better week by week
Thank you so much, we think so too! We just can't wait for it to be finished 😆
Fantastic progress guys. Looking awesome 👌 Chris your skills are improving daily under the guidance of the Wood Queen. Love the humour you both inject into your videos. Wouldn't be the same without it. It's what sets you apart from so many other narrow boat RUclipsrs ❤
Thanks so much 🥰 He is really coming along isn't he! Haha! What a nickname I've ended up with!!! 😂🤣😂 Thank you so much!, we really appreciate that. We like people to laugh along with us! ❤️
You're going to have that boat looking shipshape! Your hard work is paying off! Keep moving forward.
Thank you so much, she will shine again soon yayyyy thank you for your comment
The woodwork looks great, thanks for another good one:)
Thank you so much, Bex has quite the skills bless her, she's smashing it
Fun content‼️
Great edits‼️
Thank you sunny..let's hope.its not another 32 years 🤣
So happy for you and the new collaboration can't wait to see what it is. Living room is looking wonderful. Like the new look Chris. Best wishes as always, Deb
some people get annoyed at collaborations but I couldn't help. but say yes to this one, so exciting, take care Deb
Fabulous job guys and such quality vlogging, editing skills. I love the detail of bex hatch. I'm looking forward to seeing what you're selling. Nobody asks me. Perhaps I'm too honest. 😅😅😅
Cheers Will, Beccas a hatch expert, next time you come aboard the boat you hopefully have a shock compared to the last time, haha we dont get asked a huge amount...but this one I was proper excited about, I think you may have been gifted something simple in London 🤔
Great job Guy's
Thank you so much ☺️
Hey Guys, What a fantastic job you have made of your lovely narrowboat.
Keep up the great work you've both been doing.
Can't wait to see you up and cruising along the canal/River.
As always take care and stay safe 😊
Thank you so much we cant wait to see you on the rivers and canals, take care have a lovely week
The day you set sail. Watch out for any icebergs..
Hahaha!!! Yeah we don't want any Titanic moments around here!!!
Great video, beginning to look good. 😁
thank you 😊
All the bits and pieces are starting to look like one finished article. Your perseverance is paying off 👏.
Thanks for the cooking demonstration Chris. It is as the best chefs say “all in the presentation!”🤔 Take care both
exactly all in the presentation haha proper chuffed with the how the living room is coming on too, take care 😀
if you start with the bacon in the pan, (don't need to add any oil) you can then add the mushrooms towards the end, and they will soak up the bacon fat.... Alternatively, cook mushrooms in butter, not oil... more yummy
thats interesting, iv wonder that actually because they produce a greasy oil anyway, watch this space Dean
@@TheNomadicCrobot fry mushrooms in garlic butter. Also very yummy.
brilliant!!!!
Thanks so much 😊
Found a spider fight thing for you Chris, It's a fight you're going to lose. But peppermint oil around your windows and burn cedar incense, it's a natural insecticide.
Cheers Alan iv been using the peppermint oil....but my spiders just dont care haha
@@TheNomadicCrobot you have that rare breed of spider I think, the one that enjoys things like kendal mint cake 🤣🤣
Im hoping the collaboration is with Henry, Harry, Hetty and James... 😉 But im thinking its going to be an electric bike.. 🚴♂️
Ooh what would Titan think!!!! Hahaha!!!
I’m thrilled!! I can’t wait to see what y’all do next time
thank you so much, have a great week 😀
Great diy work floor and walls look nice 😊 have you got a new car? Lovely video 😊thank you
Thanks so much! Yes I swapped onto a smaller more economical car 😊 Thanks so much!
I’m sure Becca’s half women half beaver 🦫 her eyes light up in B&Q with her love of wood 🤣 Cabin Boy Chris you did a sterling job of cooking breakfast🧑🍳 Glad we got your Bow thruster covered 🤣
Haha that's brilliant, I'm going to have to start feeding her nuts. Thank you..so.eone who finally appreciates that horrid bow thruster area 🤣
Of course it's going to be eco. Flow or something very similar or maybe it could be something completely different. Regard it as an early Christmas 🤶 present. Be safe and have fun. Ps a B+Q voucher would be better.
hmmmm...people are getting very warm. some people are going to be very unhappy 😂😂 I feel alot of narrowboat channels have probably reviewed these....but its to good a device to turn down
Hi Becca, Chris, Another great fun-packed and very interesting and entertaining Vlog. The two of you are one amazing team. Love the way Becca does her woodwork, and Chris does his Chris things (both are amazing), Chris, you made a yummi brecci, which looked even more scrumptious with your amazing editing skills. I'm still appreciating all your video / audio effects that you do, which I know is so time consuming. So nice to see your 4 legged teddy bear come to say hello from next door. Such (Becca) precision with the Bow Thruster Thingy cover. Your local tip looked very organised. Verdict on each side of the floor. Both looked perfect. Thank you for another excellent Vlog. Spoolbox.
Thanks so much 😊 Yeah it's nice we each bring something to the table, especially Chris's yummy breakfast 😉 He really does a grand job with the editing doesn't he. He puts a lot of time into it. Aww little Teddy is such a cutie, we love it when he comes by! Thanks so much x
Chris, you make a good fry up.😅
He does indeedy!
I would put a seeler on, the wall if you put your hands on them a few times you will get staines on them. Ps excuse my grammar.
Ooh that's a good point thank you for mentioning. No probs at all 😊 x
Thanks
Oh woaw thank you so much ☺️
Fantastic work in the living room what a total transformation, stay safe you two I'll see you on the next one. 😉
Thank you so much, it's really coming along nicely now 😊
Had me LOL at not being normal narrow boater couple, we get huge enjoyment out of eating dead animals 😂
Haha! That could cause a bit of controversy!!! 😂
@@TheNomadicCrobot too late shots fired 😂
😂🤣😂
Let’s find out how much work Chris does in this episode 😂😂
He will be on spider watch 😂
exactly ...number one priority
😂😂
Hmmmmm.... I could've sworn you guys had wanted to add vents /ventilation to the bow area, to make sure that area wont sweat any more? (Even if it is due to rain/leak, wouldnt it still be important, that it is vented?)
Anyways amazing video as always! That entire LR looks so much better without that 70s style wall carpet (I fully believe its was a crime against humanity - who ever it ever was that employed the original idea - esp back in the day when it involved shag carpet.. I am still shuddering at the sheer thought of it). So, yes, it looks already so much better!
Congrats on ur first sponsor. That is exciting, esp when its a company whose product you were interested in as well. Hard work pays off (w ur videos & ur rebuild).
Cant wait for ur cruising video to go with it. Just think every day, brings u one step closer to ur goal.
Now, I know, because of my own 40 page to do list, I have been chipping away on, while enjoying ur content. My list has by now only a few items left on it .. u guys cant be that far behind? - You 2 must be at the end of ur seemingly (I am sure which felt at one point) never ending to do list as well?
I know you guys have to sort out the warm water & deffo change of ur stove set up..
But is there anything else left beside the bathroom & a few, lets call em: odds and ends?
You must be getting excited and itching to finally put the marina in ur rear view mirrow for the last time.. if Narrowboats had them?
That is the video I really cant wait for! Tje end of your to do list & the start of life without one. U. guys. R. So. very. close. now :) yeah!!!!
Hey hey, yes the idea is definitely to add vents we just haven't got round to it just yet! The list of jobs to do is so mahoosive that we just haven't managed to yet but it's definitely happening!
Thanks so much, he does a good job on the edit doesn't he! As much as I love the 70's, I couldn't agree with you more!!! It's made such a big difference ripping that bugger off!!! 😂
Thank you so much, we are really excited about this one as it will genuinely be something that's really useful onboard. That's lovely of you to say thank you
This is it! It's easy to forget that, but every step you take forward brings you closer to it so it's a good motivator 😊
Haha!! Aww we are so familiar with the neverending list! I'm glad to hear that yours is now much reduced!
I think the biggest things left to do are the installation of the calorifier and then upgrading our solar set up. Everything else in theory should be fairly straightforward (famous last words!!). I think it's fairly safe to say there's always jobs to do on a boat but in terms of the main stuff we are really hacking into that now thankfully. We absolutely are chomping at the bit to be at that stage but it will happen when it does and until then we will just keep ploughing away at it. Bring on the rear view mirror I say though!!!
Thanks so much for your lovely words of encouragement and support, they are much appreciated x❤️x
Coming along great guys. Didn't know you could get pick + mix screws from B&Q, top tip that 😊
oh yes...there dangerously moreish 😂😂
@@TheNomadicCrobot haha yummy 😋
If A=B=C it means that A=C, so if you (A) loves Becc (B) who loves wood (C) it must be that you (A) also love wood (C)
Your boat slowly marches towards the open sea (ie the cut!)
Ha! I love this equation! When he gets at me for keeping loads of wood, il remind him of this!
It does indeed! We are getting excited now!!
☕ If you would like to help support our channel you can buy us a coffee ❤ www.buymeacoffee.com/nomadiccrobot Thank you! ❤
I think you still need to have ventilation in the bow thruster area. Cut some holes to allow air movement and use some brass vent plates over the holes. If not, the condensation might come back a ruin all the work, you have done.
Just a thought.
yes your absolutely right will still need to ventilate that area, we do feel its probably a few factors at play in that horrible bow thruster area
Hope you guys are OK miss you loads my lovely posh and bex all other vids are boring but yours isn't hope to see your new video soon take care
Hi Janice all is well, just alot of outside of boat things going on, were still trying to get videos up, Thanks so much for the love and support ❤️😊
Make sure all the new wood and panels are marine grade else you will have lot of warping. Before you put your side panels up you should mark places where you can possibly join radiators to the hot hot water lines.
Thanks so much for this. The main ply was marine grade but the thin sheeting we put over the top wasn't marine grade so we can only hope it lasts ok 🤞 We thought it would be alright with the marine ply underneath... That's a great idea thanks so much. We will definitely remember this when we get further up the body of the boat where we plan to put the radiators. Many thanks 😊
Like to say hello from tenerife
Hi from the uk 👋
You made a song and dance about condensation around the bow thruster and now you didn’t install a louvre vent? Saint Paul’s cathedral was completed faster than this narrow boat renovation!
It will be happening, unfortunately a complete refit takes a very long time for 2 people that don't have a huge amount of diy background, sorry to disapoint you
the freebie you are getting has to an inflatable lifeboat that deploys when you smack head on into bridges and various other mahoosive things.
haha love it.....bring out on 😂😂😂
"We are Crobot and we are not right in the head". Did I hear that correctly Chris? 😂😂😂😂
Yep that's the one!!!
Is it sponsorship by Aqualine ? Lol. Well u said it was big. Lol😂 ❤
Hahaha!!! Can you imagine ❤️
Great vlog as always! Love the new haircut Chris. You’ve done a fab job of the floors & walls. Can’t wait to see the finished result of your living room painted & furniture in. You’ve worked so hard on it all. Love to you both xx
Thanks you, I kinda cut it myself so im winging like everything else in life 😂 so excited to finally have a living room, have a great week xx
Hi Crobots
Hope the product is not a Life Jacket 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
haha know there's an idea 😂😂
I hope Chris didn’t pay for that haircut 😂😂
how rude 🙈
ood vid on cut cranking i9t thanks lee
thank Lee have a great week 😀
Unplanned hilarity. Just when you were saying that you would need to go on a little cruise, the video cut away to an ad for a cruise line. It took a few seconds to realize that you didn't edit it in. You 1/2 + 1/2 floor is looking really great!
Haha that's hilarious..you tube picks uts moments, also what blag with the floors...I think it got the idea across 😂
Hi Chris, what was you gonna show us, I'm sure I missed something
Sorry Garry, we have a product we will be reviewing in the next weeks, we're very excited about 😃thank you for your message
Jackery collab lol
🤔
@@TheNomadicCrobot glad you guys are getting sponserships. After having a mental breakdown and spending over a year homeless, its channels like yours that has convinced me to save up for a narrow boat
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you but really glad to hear you are on the up. I think this is wonderful. Sending you all the very best and hope to meet you one day out on the cut xx
Crobots you guys are amazing - so exciting to see the floor and walls done - well-done guys great job x
Thank you so much for your comment, the living room is really starting to take shape have a lovely week x
At last, a narrow boat channel who eats real food! Dead animals and their embryonic offspring! Niceone🤙 we’ve a Widebeam and that exact breakfast sets us up for the day! 🤙🤙🤙
glad you appreciate our outrageous meat eating antics 😂 oh woaw love a widebeam...good luck on your adventures
We want crobot mugs
Thank you Gavin we really should start a little march section on our page ❤️❤️
What do you guys do for an income?
I gave my job up a few years ago to dedicate myself to this project, and am kinda just relying on savings currently , thankfully the RUclips money helps to just about fund the marina fees , Chris 👍
a room with no junk lol
Haha...not a chance on this boat 🤣
I think them plasticity panels are antispider sheets if you cover them you will get twice as many spiders😂😂😂😂😂
Chris has already legged it at the thought of that comment 😂🤣😂
Ecoflow?
Now that would be exciting 😀
Definitely well deserved
they are bolts not locks. 🤪
oh haha😂
Bet It’s a power bank same as the other 1 million narrowboat channels that have reviewed them 🤦🏼♂️
Haha!!!
Why don't you just buy your screws by the box? Be a lot cheaper than pick n mix.
You would think so but because they were such tiny screws that we are unlikely to need for anything else, it was more cost effective to do our pic a mix screw thingymabobby! 😊 Thanks for the tip though 😊
Hate to be the one to say it, if your review is in any way electric, mechanical or delicate, I hope your not testing it chris, please, please, please leave it to Becca 🤣🤣🤣🤣
haha...if she can manage to get it off me
Guys seriously.. have you any intention of going cruising? Cus there is no reason whatsoever why you can’t go cruising & fix your boat on the way , the amount of B&Q’s , diy shops & chandlers you go past on the canals is way more than you have now stuck in the back of beyond on the river
god yes, but we need hot water and batteries, we cant get the hot water done till we have the back room clear, all that stuff needs to go in the living room for Beccas dad to work on it, so we need to finish the floor off so we can move stuff on to it, now we have started working the stove as that ties in to the floor, one thing leads to another on a complete refit unfortunately but we will get there ,its been driving me quite mad too but its out of our hands with the amount of work weve been putting in the last years
Just to be nasty, Chris and crap start with the same letter 🫢
Aww bless!!! Come to think of it so do chaotic and Chris!!! Haha! Just teasing!!!
@@TheNomadicCrobot haha 😂
Thanks
You should call it your thruster flap.
Haha that's brilliant, thank you so much for the tips time and time again, so so kind of you 😊
