But the teeth look fine on their animation counterparts remember that scene where raph makes a smug grin in an episode of the original TMNT series also the toytles have always had teeth how else can they look lean green and mean without teeth
This show exemplifies the cancer of corporate control. The turtles were originally never meant to be anywhere near as friendly as these shows and later movies display. The 1990 original had some light foul language and more realistic violence. But as soon as the heads saw the financial potential it just got stupider and stupider, made more appealing to younger and younger ages.
Yeah, give the Next Mutation credit, the lip syncing was good, had some decent sets and locations, and AT LEAST THE TURTLES WEREN'T WALKING AROUND MANHATTAN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
This makes "Spider-Man: the Deadly Dust," look like, "Spider-Man: Far From Home."

This is proof of a strong brand to be able to pull out of this all time low. Michael Bay movies are a real close 2nd. I have faith we will be given a reboot on par with the original 1990 movie.

Easily the worst turtle designs lol. What were they thinking. Those turtles look like they are supposed to give kids nightmares. The next mutation designs look incredible compared to them. So cringe....

No kidding. When I was younger I swear I had some dream about some TMNT/Barney crossover or parody or something. Then years later I find out about this. TMNT Barney-fied.
I really wish I could track down that easy reader TMNT book where some generic crooks steal pizzas from a pizza parlor leading one of the Turtles to say "He did not take a Number. He did not wait." It's almost as cringeworthy as this is.

They also did the same thing with Mickey Mouse, but at least those had a lot of recognizable Disney stuff alongside the traditional songs.
At least they used the tried and true Disneyland Walkaround costumes for those. Not to mention that Disney cartoon characters were always marketed to every age group. The Turtles' youngest fan members at that point would still be way too old to want to watch them sing nursery rhymes rewritten about pizza or stranger danger. I'd honestly say Operation Blue Line was worse, but even then, they got the original voice actors and it wasn't meant to be seen outside of that area of California.

I knew of and even actually watched the next mutation when it was on TV,but I didn't know this or the Christmas one existed
I looked up Trish Rabe, she's written books for Dr. Suess, Clifford the Dog, Sesame Street, etc. yeah that's TMNT's target audience!

This was actually a thing?? WTF were the producers thinking?? Turtle Tunes?? I was 4 when this premiered but I never saw it. Thank goodness. It's just beyond terrible. This might be the worst thing the Turtles have ever done...
A film company thought it was a good idea to try to turn a dying fad into the next Barney and Friends, that's what they were thinking.
I Think this would make a Fun Concept for a Kids Educational Program for the Younger Audiences Airing Only On Weekday Mornings Especially for back then Judging by the Clips

Being born in 1980 and a gigantic Turtle fan..I barely remember the show. Like, I was too old and moved on from Ninja Turtles by that point. I just remember it looking beyond horrendous.
Never saw this musical covered. Didn’t even knew this existed. I got intruduced to all these cheap cash grab live action specials through Phelous channel some years ago, but this is musical is one I never saw before. It's terribly uneventful though.

2:20 I don't think they were under any illusions. TMNT was winding down and it was one of the reasons why this was so cheap.
I watched this and a Turtles Christmas faithfully everyday as a toddler😂😂
By the mid 90s the Turtles just weren't popular anymore. All the kids who were into it were teens by then and grew out of it and all the kids in the mid 90s were into Power Rangers. Turtle Tunes was a sad display of executives trying to keep a franchise nobody cared about anymore relevant.

If these are the same kids as the Christmas special, they're probably mad that the turtles caused them to fall into the sewers by removing the manhole covers and miss spending time with their families, and are now making them wait way too long to start filming the show.
Without the jackets the costumes look actually kind of decent! And about the barn in the original comics run of TMNT they actually spent the majority of the run living in the barn in Northampton were they crashed in the movie after the foot clan defeated them but I doubt the special would actually be refering to this as they seem to be close to the city here.

I volunteered and watch the first few minutes of that show on RUclips, first song came on and NOPE... I'm not gonna do it 😂. IDE rather watch FNAF game play drunk than watch turtle tunes.

Well they shouldn't worry about that real life tv show series cause Saban brings his game on with TMNT vs Dragon dude for a whole series, while Shredder got owned in the 2nd episode and then they go join the Power Rangers on a crusade against Astronoma, only to be sent to the shadow realm, where they are forgotten and never to be remembered again except on store shelves.

I remember renting this tape from the video store as a kid and it was very disappointing. I never wanted to see it again. It definitely has not aged well. I feel like there was a good intent here but it just fell way short of the mark! Not my TMNT!
