I said that games don't use more than 8 cores, but this is not true in most of cases,in reality, games don't use more than 6c 6t.
Now tell me,you can't stream with 8 cores 16 threads? Isn't that enough?
Rendering while gaming, well I haven't done this yet,but it will probably make the render much slower, also I don't think I can do that properly with a Ryzen 7 2700x.If you are going to buy a i9 10980XE you'll probably have more than one PC anyway. Also you should be pretty stupid, becaus there is already Ryzen 9 3950x at the same price, but with a much better single core and also it beats in multicore performance despite I9 having 2 more cores. So not only the core matter,IPC is a very important factor too. That's why you should never get an 16 core cpu for gaming,in 3-4 years it will be like a xeon procesor in games.

All can be gotten for cheap on Aliexpress, you can also get a RX 580 8GB for about £100 on there, so about £500 total for a 12 core/24 thread beast with 32-64GB RAM and a decent GPU which beats out anything on the AMD front for price to performance big time.

It's not that, all of Intels high end CPUs are designed for gaming, it's just that games can't utilise upwards of 8 cores thus far, but in the future, these X series processors will turn out to be a great investment due to the higher core count, the X series CPUs will also perform much better in multitasking situations like having chrome, discord, and whatever game you decide to play open at the same time.

Simple answer to why the FPS count is the same but the CPU percentage is much lower:
i9-9900k only has 8 cores, which most "advanced" games can take advantage off. That's why it's at rougly 60-90% all of the time.
i9-10900X has 10 cores, but modern games can only handle take advantage of about 8 cores. That's why the CPU usage is less.
i9-10980XE I'm not sure about this one, but i'm guessing 12 cores. And as I said before, modern games can only handle about 8 cores of performance but since it has 12 cores it can take a small percentage of 1 core to the other etc

The thing is games can't actually utilise these many cores. That's why you see 8% cpu usage in right most and 33% on left. New processors are faster, But software can't utilise that fully for to GPU and memory speed bottleneck. So, you need to do something in software not in hardware like update is engines upto 128 cores of usage. But, that's really difficult and inefficient. It's like 128 people are doing same thing, They wouldn't co operate and slow down each other. Better option is to improve 1 core performance

Because he is testing CPU and not GPU.
He runs the games in 1080 with lower settings on some games to make sure the GPU isn’t maxed out.
This way, the CPU can process the game the fastest he can.
If you run the game in 4K or with higher settings, the GPU will need much more time to render a frame, and the CPU will have to “wait” longer and won’t be able to process the game as fast as it could.
For example you are testing 5 different GPU with the same CPU :
In 4K, the GPUs will all show different framerates.
In 1080 and low settings, they will all show the same framerate because the CPU in this case is almost doing all the job.

I would chose the i9 9900K, however, I would go with a Ryzen 5 or 7. Having more than 8 cores isn't necessary for gaming, since games don't use more than 4-6 cores. However, more editing, and multitasking, and other cpu intensive tasks, go for the i9 10900X and 10980 XE. (What's with the weird naming)

cpu usage is different. you can use those extra cpu that is left for multitasking without any problem. since they are all locked at 4.9ghz and the games uses same amount of cores. you will get the same result. but if u do multitasking. it will make a difference

  • @andreiartyukhin1500

    9900k cpu usage - 72%, 10900x - 40% usage , 10980xe - 20% usage . 10980xe - for growth.

  • @RobloxianX
    @RobloxianX 2 месяца назад

Always consider CPU usage. The 10980XE will get you 5fps slower than a 9900KS sure, but you will also be able to do video editing, maybe some 3D rendering, and streaming all at the same time. Also, as stuff gets more intensive over time the 10980XE will pull ahead of the 9900KS due to its raw power
