- Just a short video show via Honda 1100 rebel with Vikings hard bags. I will make a installation video when I get the Insta360 back. I did raise them up a little more. They are two inches off of the muffler.
Thank you for showing off our hard saddlebags.
Good day, those bags are they self locking, I have the Shad SH23 they are good but If i forget to lock them they will open up while ridding.
Unfortunately, no they’re not self locking they do latch. They do have the side handles you have to pull up to open . It would be nice but I’m sure the cost would go through the roof. If you look at the bags on the top, you can see the locks. You’re looking out on the whole time. Knock on wood I haven’t forgotten to lock them yet.
Can you please advise which bags and whst mounting kit you used. Thanks
They are Viking bags for a Honda rebel 500 in gloss bike. The part number is 25505. You will have to raise them up to where the top is as high as the rear seat. Unless you change the exhaust to a GEM exhaust. Which I was going to do. You will have to modify these bags with longer screws, which I ordered on Amazon. I know they were M8 Bolts. You will need 12 Stanley steel flat thick washers. I only used four spacers for the front four. I hate to say it. I’m doing it by memory because in December State Farm totaled my bike out. Unfortunately, the install video that I promised was on the Insta360, which got destroyed. Feel free to ask I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for the info.
Hope you were not injured. Good luck with State Farm.
will any of the vikings asides this one work on the 1100?,cuz the site only goes up to 500 abs?
I went with these and they are great. Plus, you still need the shock cut out on the front. Hope this helps.
Hey man you think you can drop link for those bags
Vikingbags.com
They are for a 2022 Honda Rebel 500.
@@donfousek379 did they bolt right up or did you have to do some extra work to get them to bolt up
@@davidw8346 I did use different bolts to mount it to the bike. I just got my Insta360 back so I will be making a video showing the installation. I used M8 1.25 x 100 mm bolts on the front. I had to order them off of Amazon. Yes I had to order 10 of them in a package. Don’t hold me to it but I think I used M8 1.25 x 50 mm in the back. If you look at the video, I also Used a couple of stainless steel spacers with washers in between so they would screw straight and not crooked onto the bike.
