I've been on an Unreal 5 grind lately, and out of all the tutorials I have watched, yours is by far the best. It's clear, well communicated and concise. I had 100% success on the first try. Thanks a lot and keep up.
If anyone's wanting to apply this same bodycam effect to another level of the same project, all you have to do is drag in a new Post-Process actor and apply the bodycam material instance created here.
I don't usually comment in a tutorial RUclips video but you! you are amazing MAN! I really love people who if they make something they make it prefect and not just do anything even if it's bad and then post it in the name of "It's tutorial"
if you are working on ue4, and do not understand what needs to be done at 1:20, then press the keyboard shortcut "1" and "left mouse button", and then enter -0.5 on the left under the material, where it says "value"
Way better done than Gorka, already saw their tutorial and even if they normally create great stuff that tutorial sucked. A big thank you for the instructions! One thing I would also love to see was the way the creator of Unrecord created the chromatic aberation around the vignette effect. Any idea?
Hey, did you ever tried to set the blend weight from 1 to 0 With a 1 second long timeline? It actually stutter while trying to turn it off. I dont have an idea how to smoothly turn the Post process Material to 0. Mhh. Thank you anyways
I think the other aspect I haven't seen a tutorial for are proper auto exposure settings, it would be nice to see a tutorial on how to get the blown out whites on bright spots like Unrecord has. I tried messing with the exposure values and can its always too bright or dark in one area or another
You are talking way to quiet, I just want to give you this really helpful feedback. Keep on making tutorials, one day you will figure out what is important to tell and how.
если вы работаете на ue4, и не понимаете что нужно сделать на 1:20, то нажмите сочетание клавиш "1" и "левую кнопку мыши", а затем впишите -0.5 слева под материалом, там, где написано "value"
Very well made tutorials , but my lensdistortionmaterial is black when i use it , dont know why ? ^^ I`ve made everything like in the tutorial ... btw ... The Levelblueprint looks a little different in different engineversions ( Im usin 5.1.0 ) so ... its a little bit confusing for beginners to figur out some functions ( or even to notice that ) , also some menus of the eventgraph are named different , i dont get the logic of Epic sometimes xD
Hello. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I followed the instructions. I have that effect, but only on the left side of the screen. Any ideas what is wrong
yes so instead of adding the Material to the postprocces volume you can instead add it to the camera, just click on the camera and search for material and then do the same as you did on the postproccs volume
I plugged them in to the cameras postprocessing but when I hit play nothing happens takes affect, as in it ignores them. this only works for the main post not character blueprint cameras. Any suggestions?
help my stats say on the bodycam material [SM5] SceneTexture expressions cannot be used in opaque materials except if used with the Single Layer Water shading model.
@@MaxStudioCG2023 Haha thanks! I'm not experienced to that level of realism in animation yet, but if I can find a way to have similar animations like Unrecord. Then I'll do a tutorial😀
doent work for me sad cause its a good tutorial im using 5.1.1 maybe its the issue i try a new projet to see iff it wasnt something from my scene but when i press play nothing happen only that weird thing when a apply the instance some kind of zoom in occurs
Hmm, im also using 5.1.1 Make sure to set the material domain to post process and also click on your post process volume and search for unbound and then tick the box👍
@@EREMENTALSTUDIOS even when i open the instance the effect cannot be seen when tweekin it im gonna try again tonight to see if i didnt make any sleepy mistake

You saved hours of my life from being stolen to find this.
What is the shortcut "1" in the keybard pls
This was great, thanks so much for sharing!
Ay this is sick!! I love seeing these tutorials pop up now that Unrecord is getting some attention
Thank you😀
ありがとうございます!
OMG I have tried TO FIND THIS EVERYWHERE AMAZING
MAKE SURE TO SEARCH FOR UNBOUND IN THE POST PROCESS VOLUME AND TICK THE BOX IF IT DOSNT WORK FOR YOU
Thank you so much, I was almost really disappointed :)
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you :D
thank you so muchh!!! this made my horror game look sooo realistic THANKS!!
Glad to hear!😇
Very cool, thank you :)
Hi, does the fish eye effect work in the sequencer for rendering?
This video is great!
thanks!
Great! How to access these effects in real-time from the character blueprint.

Hello everything is working I was just wondering about a good FOV to match with, do you have any tips or good FOV?
By the way, you were correct when you said left click for the Scalar Parameter :D
yes, definitely better than that other tutorial out there lol
Thanks!😅

Maybe a tut on the camera shake?
Yes i'll put it on my to-do list😃
As far best speedrun of this effect.
Thanks for the tutorial, I followed everything you did but when I implemented it all graphics for my game got so bad and the models went so bad
looks not bad, i can admit that :)
yo, came from another video here, i ve done everything there but it s just one solid colour, any ideas why? thank you!! i also use ue 5.1
Do you know how i can add this to my viewport upon pressing a button like right alt for example??
amazing video, keep it up.
🌀!it says right click in the video but i mean left click!🌀
IMO iprefer the shake type of a body cam it give the player a realism movement when in state of panic or calm than a stabilize but hey its my opinion
Great tuto bro ! by the way, about Unrecord, technically it’s not a game yet ! we'll see !

check every single connection and go through it step by step. I have had the same issue and it was because i plugged nodes in the wrong places.
Du you know how he made the Camera movement smooth like In unrecord trailer?
thats nice but the result is not the same. how do you achive the rest of the effects in the camera? like the camera shaking, tones and more
Hey the distortion is great but I dont get any of the camera shake effect. Any idea on what Im doing wrong?
No i think that you misunderstood, This video is just the bodycam effect so nothing else this is just a material👍
mine looks really bad for some reason but followed it all as closely as possible. idk whats going on
Very good
Thanks😀
Hello. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I followed the instructions. I have that effect, but only on the left side of the screen. Any ideas what is wrong
I'm not sure where i've gone wrong, but the distortion effect only appears at the bottom right of the screen!
Is it normal, that everything gets less resolution, when I apply that material? If this is a bug, please help me
I have multiple cameras in my scene is there any way to make one cam ignore this effect?
yes so instead of adding the Material to the postprocces volume you can instead add it to the camera, just click on the camera and search for material and then do the same as you did on the postproccs volume

Did you set the scene texture function to postprocessinput0
Material settings > Material domain > Post Process
my global settings dont show up how can i fix that?
there already milions of body cams on youtube .....what about the weapon, and shooting and those hand anims? nobody able to create that?

This effect makes my screen blurry, how do I fix that? If I can't fix that then I won't be able to use this effect for my game :(
you could make a sharpen material and apply it to the post process
I couldn't and the terarian disappeared but still nice video🙂
Thanks😀, why couldn't you?
