    You really brought it! I've been inhaling these comparison videos, and this is the first time I understood the mapping of the product line. For an indoor video interview shooter, ZV E10 makes a lot of sense, and given it's much lower price point, buying 3 at one time is somewhat possible, resulting in a nicely matched 3 camera shoot. Allocate the savings on bodies, to lenses. On other hand, A6700 is hard to beat for its advanced feature sets, which you spelled out so clearly.

    I pre-ordered the A6700 but ended up cancelling and just going straight to the ZV-E1, I am so happy I made this leap, it's just a night and day improvement: unreal low light, few extra stops of dynamic range, substantially reduced noise levels across the board, there are so many incredible cheap full frame lenses, it also ended up being more compact than APS-C.

      I mean if it's just for Vlog, E1 is a perfect one.
      But 90% professional production nowadays won't accept it because of the single card slot.
      Instead, I would go with A7iv within the same price.
      My line up currently:
      Hybrid crop: E10
      Cinema: fx30
      Hybrid FF: A7iv

    • @DigiDriftZone
      @DigiDriftZone Год назад

      @@kptktp_09029 A better alternative is the A7S III, the A7 IV doesn't have 4K 60 without crop or 4K120 and isn't as good in low light. Also neither have the incredibly good AI chip from the A7R V which is prevent on the ZV-E1 so the E1 is still vastly superior in many ways, including portability.
      I don't think you are using the E10 or A6700 in professional production either...

      Obviously if you really have budget, A7s3 is the best lineup in my opinion.(Unless u focus only on video and don't do 50 50, I would go with Fx3 instead)
      But with under 3000 and u want both professional aka travelling, A74 is the best one.
      I do understand about the crop factor but literally, the Linear Bining on FullHD 120fps already gave you enough quality to do the slow motion(And Honestly, I do 50 50 photo video on a7iv, so that's why i have Fx30 to compensate for that 4k60 10% crop, but if I only need 1 camera, I will bring my a74 with fullHD 120fps)
      Yes, 1 card = no production work. That's what E10, E1, A6700 is having.
      My first camera was actually E10 and I did a lot of production works on it, but after 1 year and half, I decided to upgrade to Fx30 cuz it gives me the unsafe feeling aka the 10 bit 4 2 2 with dual ISO is wayyyyyy much more flexible for me in post.

    Current E10 user here, out of camera video color at 4K is great for what i do, However, Stabalization is awful on the e10, customization is only ok, its very limited if you want to try and push your skills further. Also, the low light usage isn't very good, actually its terrible. It has its good qualities for a €700 camera, but it will only get you so far if you're looking to push yourself further as a videographer/content creator.

      At low light, I recomend to get down with exposure use best ISO possible and make photos from RAW. In raw is obviosly less noise than from its JPEG compression, and its more easy to generate your own better output..... but in Video mode, you cannot control nothing, and right, its capable to make bright video in the dark, but at cost of high exposure with extreme low ISO and noise..... :-( ZVE10 really performs bad, really bad...... Its a shame when Osmo Action Cam do a much better job than this, but for sure, withouth lens option, even my Note20Ultra makes better videos :-(

    ordered my zv-e10 just yesterday, because of the deal breaker you mentioned. As my name suggest,I'm a DJ and i bought it for our monthly stream which i'm going to record the set with. Can't be worrying about camera's shutting down while im playing and doing a stream. So yeah the a6700 might have newer bells and whistles, and the zv-e10 mk2 might lean heavy towards that but it might potentially have the same issue as the 6700 due to the rumoured same battery as the 6700 and body which could give some troubles with heat and recording limits. I have a e10 and planning to upgrade to 6700 for all those superb features, especially in low light conditions, which is a bummer when I take pictures.
    But... I guess the price should be a litter lower, maybe around 1k euros for a used gear, cause with 1500 I'd better go for a used a7iv around 2k euros!
    Yes, that's 500€ more but it's another level of competition, if you know what I mean
    Am I wrong?

      @seandewispelaere  Год назад +1

      Tough call. The a7iv does lack a lot of those newer features. It’s outstanding but I’d consider looking in to the a7cII or the a6700 because the newer color science and features (at least for me) are really valuable

    • @kptktp_09029
      @kptktp_09029 Год назад +2

      A7IV of course
      Don't follow the gimmick AI chip or LUT import. They are just there to bait you.
      Also, fact that buying A6700 or A7CII will not allow you to work in professional industry, at least at second shoot because you only have 1 sd card slot 😂
      About color science stuffs, people keep complaining but remember, you shoot photos in raw, and you edit video in 10 bit so tweaking color in post is super easy. I feel like this term of "color science" is just a bait because at the end of the day when doing in-post, you are the one who decide how your image comes out.
      Last but not least, A6700 used the same sensor as Fx30, and A7CII used the same sensor as A7IV. So basically, in theory and practical for image outcome, they are totally the same 😂
      So it's a big A7IV go to me.

      @seandewispelaere  Год назад +1

      Thanks, Ken
      I do think that from a professional perspective 2 card slots is a determining factor.
      With that being said, I think to each their own about what features are valuable?
      I’ve used the a7iv heavily and love it and I think that at the end of the day nothing will beat good exposure and white balance in regards to the final image but have noticed a different and in my opinion better color science out of some of be newer cameras.
      Thanks for adding to the conversion and all the best 🤙

      I'm not judging, I'm just saying because to me everything related to skin tone and colors can be slight tweak in-post to give out a dedication result, even we film with PP off(Mainly I think skin tone, if u work with human cuz I kept hearing the comparison between Sony and Canon color science, and I don't see the crazy reason to switch from Sony to Canon for just that reason 😂)

      They will never go below that because if they do it, no one will buy the A6700 unless the A6700 price drops down and they need the EVF.
      Also, FX30 will be killed and never be a "perfect B cam" anymore, because with 1 price u pay for FX30, u already got 2 E10 Mark 2 with the same sensor, better AI and color science.

    Upgrade is a silly question. They are very different cameras with different use cases. For me there is a case to be made to have BOTH cameras. The A6700 is heavier and does not have Product Showcase so is not as good for vlogging. The ZV-E10 is perfect for social media video and photos. For those who are more serious photographers and indie filmmakers the A6700 is much better.
    The EVF (for me) is worth gold, the IBIS, while it is only Sony's second rate stabe, is still better than not having it. But then, the ZV-E10 on a small gimbal is way better than the A6700 with IBIS.
    So for me, the A6700 is a main camera, but the ZV-E10 is a brilliant second camera, but, because of Product Showcase, which is really useful, if I had to choose just one of these cameras, I would choose the ZV-E10.

    I don't get the point of this video. It's like comparing a 3 year old Volkswagen Jetta to a brand new BMW M3. 2 completely different things. They're both German Sedans, and that's all they have in common. One is extremely nice, and other is plain and affordable. 2 different markets completely, and one is objectively better if price isn't a factor.
    Honestly most people really don't NEED the A6700. It's like a professional camera. If you aren't doing professional work, or a pro-sumer hobbyist, you won't need the A6700. Even if you wanna shoot 4k120, there's better options for just that. You can get much cheaper cameras for 4k120 shooting, and 26mp is way more than you need for that.
    My point is this is an apples to oranges comparison. I think if anything, the FX30 would be a more logical comparison, because that seems like the next step up from the zve10, since it's more of a video centric camera, not a true hybrid like the 6700. Really, I'd say that even though the 6700 is great for video, it's biased slightly more towards photography.

    ZV-E10 11shots per second in RAW and JPEG? :-) in your dream buddy ;-) also a huge problem of 4K shooting on ZVE10 is huge vertical deformation of the screen during a movement , its also noticeable in FHD 120FPS, but on 60FPS its FINE....... So I really wonder who tells that there are not so many differences. I bought ZVE10 for video potencial, but its defintiively not good video camera at all..... huge difference in A6700...... ZVE10 is usable only in static mode, and its limited by lens used and fact, it has no stabilised sensor, its usable really only for static vloging... I still love that camera, but definitively, its cheap outdated camera. Its fine in making photos, but video performance is disapointment, A6700 is far far far better camera, and better camera produce more HEAT...... ZVE10 have really low video setting to be used, low possibilities to control video quality.. nah... but still its one of the best value per price cams.... A6700 should be bought in some occassional discounts for interesting prices..... and its quite interesting to compare ZV-E10II with A6700
