剣術の稽古をしていて上手く出来たと思うことは、日に1度ぐらいでしょうか。
足さばきが滑らかでなかったり、軸をはずしたりと自身の問題もあるが、相手も沢山いればそれぞれのクセもある。打太刀で剣を受ける時はそのクセを修正するのに必要なヒントを与える。時にいい打をしてきたなと感心していると、次はそうでなかったり。
まあ、色々なことがあり、二つとして同じことがない。そうしたことに臨機応変に対応することが剣術の楽しさでもあるのかもしれません。
明日は、今日よりも強くなろう。

Possibly to Yamaguchi-ryu. The founder of Mugai-ryū, Tsuji Gettan Sukemochi (辻月丹資茂) was born to Tsuji Yadayū descendant of Sasaki Shirō Tadatsuna, in the first year of Keian (1648, early Edo period), in the Masugi (馬杉) village area of Miyamura (宮村), in Kōga (甲賀郡) region of Ōmi (近江), now Shiga Prefecture. The style formal name is Mugai Shinden Kempo founded on the 23rd day of June of 1860.

They’re practicing retaliation, the women first strike gets parried, the man then pressed on using an over head attack, then the women blocked it by putting the flat curve of the sword vertically to the triceps of the arm to minimize impact, because of the inertia of the man’s strike his guard is now too low to try blocking the women overhead strikes

The big pants are called hakama, the belt/sash is called obi, the jacket is a gi for kendo or kenjutsu.

Esto es kata, no verdadero combate. Como todos los estilos japoneses, son ejercicios para enseñar cierto enfoque. Las posibilidades en un combate actual son muchas. Por tanto las verdaderas técnicas están escondidas detrás de éstos movimientos. Se requiere instrucción directa del maestro para entender el verdadero bunkai.

Nice form but lack speed and strength. Practicing only to achieve the form but no substance.
The focus on technique first ensures you get your form right. Speed and strength are added later. Also, they aren't really protected; a strike from a bokuto can easily crack a rib or a skull.
