Rizky Iman Nowhere near what the big actors get. I worked on a tv show called “Kung Fu The Legend Continues,” with David Carradine. Back then, we (stunts) got $1,200.00 for showing up, and $800.00 every time we had to “fall down.” It added up tho, because most directors would do at least 2 or 3 takes, minimum. I thought it was pretty good for a day’s work, considering once you show up, even tho it was early in the morning, all you had to do was sit your butt down in a chair, and hair and make up would do the rest. Then, you wait in a nice trailer, until an AD (assistant to director) comes and knocks on your door, to tell you, you’re on. Then the Stunt Coordinator gears you up, and you do your falls. Plus, KRAFT service food, is always on set. And, it’s quite the buffet! Then, every time the show airs, you get a royalty check in the mail, which is close to the amount you made on the day of. Now, that is back in the mid 90’s for a tv show. It’s probably WAY more now. Also, the bigger the stunt, the more you would make, a car roll like the one in Better Call Saul, I’d guess the dude probably made at least $30,000.00 for that roll. Maybe more.
So surreal to watch that crash in the episode, wondering (like Mike was) whether the driver survived, and now to see a dude pop out of it and literally walk away. Major props.
*Was sure they used a very long lens [like 600mm] to compress the scene so they could put Bob much further away from the car as it rolls...* But, that green screen was really convincing!
