I played this song in standard tuning, the original is actually in drop C! This means that riff one is being played up one octave in this video. If you play in drop C then you'll have to change some of the fingerings! Sorry for any confusion!

Thanks, that means a lot! Trying to make an honest go of this thing. I have learned that even a brief 3 second intro is too long! Right to the point is the winner!

Hey can you please please help me, im trying to figure out what he's doing theory wise especially in the solo. Does the solo have a key change or is it the same chords being played over the lead . It seems like hes playing a c minor scale based off some of the notes I'm getting but maybe G phrygian? I know they're relative but I don't know what's being played rhythm wise in that section

From what I can tell you are definitely on the right track. I believe the chorus chords go something like | Cm | Gm | Am | Am | and that loops for the solo section (the last Am chord has walk up in the bass part, but Am sounds ok being sustained there.) He starts off with some arpeggios for sure, im pretty sure those just outline the chords but its so fast, it sounds like more than that. It sounds like there are some moments of harmonic minor as well in there. It's not much help, but there are some legends out there who have tabbed the solo to near perfection, maybe give one of those vids a shot?
