- This dad finds a baby goose in his backyard. He raises him as his own son, and his daughter gets very jealous. He loves to swim with him and even mow the grass with him. Finally, he teaches him to fly, and he takes off to find his own little goose family.

I brought home a domestic goose abandoned in a public park. One day she glided over my fence to a neighbor's yard where I saved her from the neighbor's dogs. She hasn't left my yard since.
I hope one day go back to say you hi❤
As Urban Rescue Ranch says. If you can catch the bird it's now your bird.
Well that's approximately what he says whenever he kidnaps I mean rescues domestic birds abandoned under a certain bridge where folks used to go to feed them but no longer go because they closed.
Also geese make the best alarm system. They'll also attack while cursing you out.
She was a lucky goose to find you. They're cool animals.

An acquaintance and her husband found and injured crow and they nurtured him back to health, when he got better he left then came back the next year with his mate to visit them, and did so every year after. When you help an animal they are ever so grateful.
And maybe bring a daughter-in-law and some grandkids.
Being prepared to let go of the things you love - that's selfless love! Thanks to Frank and family for doing the best thing for Danny, the goose. Very glad that Danny learned to fly!

Geese are awesome! I lost my 23 yr. old white chinese gander 2 years ago. Raised him from a gosling. Same story as Danny. He was found, wandering all alone in the middle of nowhere and a woman rescued him and took him to our local wildlife center. Since he was a domestic breed they needed to find him a home and as a volunteer I adopted him. He was totally imprinted on me and while I got him a female companion I remained his true love. Best life experience ever! I said he was the best "dog" I had ever had and he knew many words and commands. Truly the great, animal love of my life. RIP Marwyn, gone but never forgotten!

This is another one of those clips that warms the heart. Both Frank and Danny were both bonkers frolicking about with one another. It is one of the most precious gifts to have when a wild creature chooses you as their human or in this case a daddy. Frank nutured Danny to become a wild creature once again. That for me is a selfless act of kindness and love. ❤❤❤❤ Poor Hailey being replaced with a Canada goose. Thank you Frank and your family for taking care of Danny. ❤❤❤❤❤

It really is true. Baby animals do grow up so fast. They have to as they have to become independent faster. Humans are the only critters who have the longest childhood. But baby animals and human babies and toddlers are the same when taken care of. Good nutrition, medical needs, stimulation, socialization, the need for play, building trust, imprinting. The goose chick imprinted on your dad. Personalities. Only difference is the outside meat suit.

That father seems to have raised two wonderful children and clearly has a heart of gold.
Hopefully he gets a dog or cat that can provide some companionship.
Whatever animal that is, they deserve each other. Great example of love and respect!

This is awesome. The fact that her dad was able to tell him to go fly and find a family despite knowing Danny would leave is so touching and selfless. Stories like this give hope for the world to still become a better place.

What a great dad. I used to live in a house with a pond behind it and I would feed multiple goose families. They would eventually come up to my glass sliding door in the back and peck on it when they wanted food. They weren’t scared of my Husky at all but he was scared of them. I recently bought my first house and I’m going to miss those geese. I hope if they come back next year whoever lives there now is kind to them.
