It can done! There was a native bee that accidentally flew into our lanai one autumn day (I'm in Florida), and it must've been in for a bit. Found the blue-green iridescent bee on the ground, lethargic. Grabbed a cotton swab and dipped it into hummingbird food, and placed the bee onto the tip of the swab. The bee drank, rested, drank, rested. After an hour, the bee then climbed off the swab and onto my hand, where it began cleaning itself (good sign). After a little while, it went back to the swab, on its own, to sip more nectar. This species of bee is known to hover, much like a hummingbird is able to do, and is extremely agile and fast in flight. The bee lifted off the swab, and I smiled, thinking it was no longer starving, and felt better. So, now it was departing. Instead, the bee hovered at my eye level, facing me, as though taking a long look at the creature who was trying to feed it. I felt the bee was studying me, and also know bees are capable of distinguishing between various animals. But perhaps most interestingly, bees can also distinguish between human faces, too. And that's what I began to wonder if the bee actually was doing; memorizing my face in relation to that area and what it experienced. I'd like to think I did see this particular bee again over those months in autumn...or perhaps that bee's offspring. I'll never know, but now I understand how feeding a bee can make a difference not just for the bee, but to a habitat. 🐝 💚

The names one chooses for their pet can tell a lot about a person... Anyone else notice his pigs are Charlotte & Wilbur - from the book Charlotte's Web?
Fantastic human being, this guy
It's honestly so beautiful to see an animal grow up, especially when they were originally in a near-death state. It is just amazing staring at them, knowing very well, that if they weren't saved, this amazing sight of the animal would have never been a view to watch. And you, Brian, god bless you. You are the individuals we all need in this world. 😊👍
This man is a kind hearted person. God bless us all.
